I heard the 737 fuselages are built in Wichita and shipped to WA for completion. Maybe I am misinformed. I saw some going north in Wyoming in 2012. UK railfan.
I've always wondered if Boeing has had any incidents where crackpots take potshots at the fuselages with a rifle or pistol. It's a long trip from Wichita to Renton with a lot of stops in dark places.
There is something sick about a country that has people that fire guns at those beautiful pieces of engineering, that requires reworking when they arrive.
I've been up that spur on both the caboose and the engine as a brakeman. That was back in 1968 though and we were moving 747 parts. It's crazy steep.
Awesome and interesting catch of the move from one site to another. Enjoyed watching and have a wonderful rest of your Friday.(Steve)
Air traffic bookends to a video of a train hauling planes.
Excellent!!!
very nice indeed i like the little 737s but i got a big heart for the l-1011 s i was on back in the 70s 80s great vid
Man! That is beautiful. Boeing & BNSF! A couple of America’ s finest!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
WOW! Interesting video!
Very nice video!
I always enjoyed seeing this train. Thanks, Scott!
Nice catch!!
That was on the Clark Fork MT
✌👍
I'm curious as to why they shipped 737 fuselages to Everett when all 737's are assembled in Renton which is about 40 miles south.
Everett is starting up a 737 line where the 747s used to be assembled.
Hi Scott this is hudson are you on a trip?
Wasn't there a derailment there a few years ago, a couple of fuselages ended up in a river?
Yes, and it was a MESS! I think about four of them either went for a swim or ended up on the river bank.
That was on the Clark Fork river in Montana, and some of them had to be scrapped.
These fuselages maybe came out of Q-ALTPTL in Seattle which drops it off

Fresh from Wichita…
The only reason they use two BNSF locos is to push those steel flat cars and that caboose up the hill. The '37 cans weigh almost nothing.
I see these from time to time moving north through Colorado Springs.
That's unexpected. I thought 737 final assembly is in Renton.
This is the first caboose I've seen in a long time. Because of the long shove?

Fascinating.

Ive smoked weed there 🤤
Shoved?? Wtf 🤣
Those look like Max 9's
Over the hills and through the woods- what is this,,1919? Plus tarps and duct tape. Every expense spared.
