Rice Cake Sweet Potato Ball - say goodbye to the plain old rice cake nian gao

Nian gao, or rice cake, is a popular dessert to enjoy around Lunar New Year because it sounds similar to “higher year” symbolizing prosperity. However, fried nian gao can be plain, boring, and too sweet. Pair it with the natural sweetness of sweet potato and fry it into sweet potato balls for crispy, chewy goodness. This recipe is made with an air fryer, so no need to deep fry.

50g-100g tapioca flour
