The Odyssey battle was more like "hey let's give them a somewhat cool battle but give the players something they always wanted.... let's give them a chance to play as browser" which was genius

At this time, I'm realizing that this video shows Bowser's evolution through time, going from a simple bad guy without personality to a complex villain that, depending on the game, has many traits. With all of these, I change my mind about him, since now I see that Bowser is a great villain, believe it or not, and I don't consider him a generic villain anymore. Galaxy, 3D World, and Odyssey, are the closest to being what I'd consider a legitimate battle. However I feel as if they're still lacking. Maybe combining the best elements from all three will give us the worthwhile battle against Bowser we deserve.

3D Land was my first Mario game, and watching the Bowser fight from 3D Land is giving me some major nostalgia. I felt like a real hero during that fight, haha.

I agree. Just how fast he is defeated... It feels so... off. I mean, I like the harder version of the mid game fight, and don't get me wrong, I love what they did with the whole Honeylune Ridge collapse thing, but it would've been really cool if after Bowser lost his suit there was another phase - if not in the first fight, then at least in the rematch.

In Super Mario Odyssey, Bowser doesn't show any new tactics in the final battle from the first battle with him in the Cloud Kingdom. Very disappointed, Bowser.
