Hi all! I completely understand the skepticism , I myself also ate very healthy prior to the keto and coming down with a mood disorder.
My illness is extremely severe I’ve been hospitalized etc. for me, personally, I’m not saying for everyone, but it was not a placebo effect. It greatly reduced my symptoms. Did it cure me , no. I would say don’t go by me, if you have an interest, look into the actual research, I would recommend Dr. Chris Palmer, author for brain angry, Dr. Georgia Ede, and Nicole Laurant , that’s where I would start. By no means is this info to force it upon anyone it’s just to start the conversation and share with people that there may be another tool they can go to in their tool kit!! I’m also more than happy to further discuss it to my knowledge, as a patient , and as a licensed clinician , but I am not the end all be all keto expert!! Please reach out if you’d like to talk further I’m beyond happy to do so!

Thank you so much for the talk and resource! It came at a perfect time. I have bipolar disorder and have been a bit lost with how to eat while depressed. There is an aha moment when you said food can be like medication. I am hopeful as I learn more about Keto and booked my first appointment :)

Worked for me - the hard part for me is sticking to it. I feel so good on keto I feel like I’m 100% cured - then I start to be looser on my diet - sure enough my hypomania returns… so I start to fast 16-20 hours and add more fat and remove carbs/sugar and I find that calm again.
I need to truly stick to it - I’m good now but have been relaxed on my diet.
I’ve read brain energy and change your diet change your mind. As of today, I’m 100% going back to keto!!

So glad that keto works for you. It must be so difficult to keep to that diet though.

I'd say these "disorders or diagnoses"are just symptoms that needs a holistic solution like a keto diet to get the best for the human body.thank you for the video

I am in favor of people doing what works for them and their disorder, be it meds, keto, or whatever else.
And I don’t appreciate you putting quotes around disorders or diagnoses. Bipolar is a medical condition. It’s been around as long as people have. Be respectful.
