    Really good coffee ice cream is a little hard to find. For me, it's either too sweet, or it doesn't have enough coffee flavor to it. Ours is packed with espresso powder to give a great coffee punch. Also, we limited to sweetener to really let that coffee flavor shine without overpowering it. As far as the sweetener goes, we used monk fruit, so you don't have all those sugar calories in there, nor do you have the aftertaste you get with Stevia. Finally we used oatmilk to cut down the fat and calories over using traditional cream. The addition of protein powder bumps up the protein content per serving dramatically! This ice cream is delicious and smooth. I challenge you to find someone that can tell that it's sugarless. It's that good. When you watch this video and find out how easy it is to make great ice cream without any sugar, you won't even be able to believe it. You're going to want to make it every day, and with something like the Ninja Creami, it's even easier!

    Coffee Ice Cream is my favorite. I can't afford an ice cream maker. What I make is an Affogato with a scoop of Breyers CarbSmart and a couple of espresso shots poured over in a mug. The hot espresso mixes with the frozen ice cream, delicious.

      Heya Nessa... A nice little hack you can try also, is to prepare the ingredients like in the video, except when done, pour them into a couple of ice trays. The yiu can freeze it into cubes, and if you have a high speed Blender, you can pulse the cubes sever times with just a little bit of nonfat milk or almond milk in there. The longer you blend it, the softer it's gonna be, but at the very least you have something like a soft serve.

      You can do it without the eggs if you just add a little extra cream to increase the fat content, or you can use agar power to replace the egg yolks. Either way works good.

      Hi! I like the Lakanto stuff the most, but it's a little pricey. I've been using Durelife for the recipes on the channel lately. It tastes about the same, but it's way cheaper. Here it goes on Amazon: amzn.to/3WLrg66

    Can you substitute oat milk with almond milk in any of these recipes? I’ve had my creami for months now and is still in the box 📦.
    I must try this!!!

    • @JoesPhenomenal

      Hi, Christi. Sure... You can use almond milk. It has less fat than the oatmilk though, so it won't be quite as creamy, but it still comes out nice.

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  4 месяца назад +1

      You can always do some almond milk in there too.. or regular milk if you do dairy. I usually end up using Kroger Carbmaster milk since it's nonfat, has a bunch of protein in it and is really low in carbs too.

    Hi Joe,
    Is there a way to do the coffee ice cream without eggs, like using an egg replacer?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  Год назад

      Yes. Just substitute a 1:1 with the egg replacer to the eggs and you should be good.... It's usually something like 1 tbsp replacer and 2 tbsp water mixed together per egg, but it might vary per brand.

    So I made this and it was by far the best tasting ice cream I’ve made in my creami. The inly problem I had was I left it thaw for 20 minutes and it came out like a milkshake. Super soft. It had been in the freezer for 2 weeks and my freezer is super cold. Any idea why it didn’t freeze hard?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  4 месяца назад

      Thanks! I think maybe it thawled too long? I personally don't usually let them sit out much at all where I'm at. I just do a respin or add a 1/2 table spoon of liquid and respin if it comes out crumbly the first time.

    May I ask, why the protein powder?
    Why the cooking? Can the ingredients just be blended in a blender? Then frozen?
    Can I use whole eggs?
    Just wondering!
    Can I add melted butter?
    MCT oil?
    Stevia powder?
    Still wondering!
    Thanks, just subscribed!

      @JoesPhenomenal  Год назад

      Heya Gladys! Thanks! To answer you questions, stevia powder works fine.. Same measurements, butter and oil are both fine too, but I'd keep the oil to a small about, you can do who eggs or yolks... Yolks work a little better. The cooking helps kill bacteria since it is raw eggs just in case they aren't pasteurized. If you blend in a Blender, use the lowest speed, since you don't want to over-agitate. The protein powder added extra flavor and more thickness... Also you cab get a lot of flavor without desling with other sweeteners as much

    When using coffee or espresso, does it need to be then instant stuff?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  5 месяцев назад +1

      If it's going in ice cream, use the instant stuff. The grounds in regular coffee won't dissolve.. Or you can use coffee whey protein also.

      Sweet! But we did cook them to 170 degrees in the video.. You can substitute them for a couple of tablespoons of cream chase though, just to make sure there's enough fat content in there to keep the ice-cream from being kinda grainy.
