- In this video I am setting up some grapevine licking branch mock scrapes on a property in some possible hunting spots. Vines work great and not many people know that deer use licking branches year round. Deer use licking branches for communication. They communicate through scent and licking branches. By setting these up you can create a commutation hub area close to your stand that the deer will come to almost everyday day.
Good stuff, never used a vine type licking branch.
Great vid, me and my brother already had that type of scrape stick set out a month ago and the deer are hittin it really good
Great video, fellow Wisconsinite. We are hoping to get some out this weekend.
Nice work young man!
great video, thanks
I've had mine out for two weeks on the edge of a field. Lots of deer around it but very few have actually left their scent on it. I think I used too thick of a vine. I'm going to fix it tomorrow, gotta have a 10 foot ladder tho which sucks
Has anybody tried building a horizontal rubbing post like Ted Miller uses? It looks like a winner.
I'll put some out tomorrow
For mock scrapes does it matter what tree you use?
I Love this video. You're great. also, i really want to be youtube friends xD
