Thank you👋🏻Your video helped my hubby figure out an issue replacing our "retro" lol 93 Bounder deadbolt. So weird calling stuff from 90s retro! Ha!😂😊 Much appreciated brother👍🙏🏼
Google search and found your gem of a video. My vintage rv needs this as the lock and an installer are no longer available, and I have to do it myself. 1994 Fleetwood American Eagle.
Dude this video is awesome!! Well done easy to follow perfect instruction 😎👍A+ on delivery Wish RUclips didn’t suppress videos. This should be at the very top of the list for recommended and RV door lock modifications. Take me just a little while to find this thing longer than I actually expected for such an awesome video
Job well done, but if someone is going to take the time to break in just with the factory door lock it would be easier to break a window and open the door.
Most guys I know that added a smart lock to their RV put the lock on the wall instead of the door. Same holes, but then you don’t have to worry about your screen.
Good question. I didn’t try to drill hole. I tried a notch in the pvc but it was in the way of one of the screws. When you do it if you don’t mind try to drill a hole and see if it works. If it doesn’t you can always just modify it. But if it works leave another comment to let people know thank you.
Sorry I don’t know if it will work in every Rv door. I didn’t even know it would work on mine. I had to figure it out as I did it. It was risky but work out. It has worked flawlessly over the years.
Do you happen to know the thickness on your door ? Just so I can have an idea. I’m getting my first rv soon I’m 24 and from all I’ve seen is the rv keys tend to be the same 😳. Not something I like when. I heard lol

You wouldn’t happen to be in Florida right now would you? :)
Great video, thank you very much. Why didn’t you just drill a hole thru the black pvc? Doing this in a couple days to my fifth wheel. 🤙🏻

@@handymanlearningrvs1532 sounds good I will. Thanks for the great video!
Did you use a different size/style bit to drill the outside of door or is the hole the same size thru?
?
It looked like you used a different drill bit for the outside.. am I missing something? Is the hole smaller outside?
Awesome!!! Thank you.
do you have a parts list?
Will this work with any RV door? are they all the same thickness?
