Hey, just wanted to comment, and say THANK YOU for this video. Very informative and VERY helpful. Much appreciated 💯
You're very welcome!
I just bought a new home and furnished it with everything Lg! If I don't get a real person to answer the customer support line or even the "Live Chat" I will be taking every pieces of shit back!
That is too bad to hear. This is a real person answering your comment. Do you have a question?
There is a problem with your AI/website! I cannot get my issues resolved as a result of it! If it is a human responding to me that is extremely confused about what is happening, that is even more pathetic from a "tech giant"!@@LGSAE
My freezer isn’t getting cold
In gonna get my husband to clean the coils
After I clean it how long will it take for the freezer to get cold?
What if it doesn’t get cold, what should I do next ?
If the condenser fan is working does that mean the condenser is good? Because my condenser fan runs but the freezer and refrigerator can't get below 50°
My freezer seems to be getting hot. Took apart the back..the condenser looked far worse than this video. Hopefully that is the issue
thank you! this helps alot. thought i needed to replace my fridge 😅
You're welcome!
Does this affects the freezer because my is not working its cold but its not freezing the food
Did you clean it? If so, is your freezer working properly again?
Nice video. I can’t get at the coils inside. Just the ones on the outside. How do I do this? Thank you.
You are right, you cannot access the inside coils well. However, the inside coils should not be contaminated too much, it's mainly the outside part.
It can be cleaned with a water sprayer and a brush.
thanks a lot so useful 🙏🙏🌺🌺
Hello, my model (LRFXC2606S) has an ice maker and the manual says not to remove cover to clean the coil. Is it ok to remove it like in this video?
Dear, If you follow the instructions in the video, yes it is. However, it is always at your own risk as this is a service procedure. Note that there may be differences in the models and how easy/difficult access to the condenser is. Most important safety measures are: wear gloves, do not damage the small condenser fins and, most importantly, work with the power UNPLUGGED. If you are not sure, please contact your local LG support desk.
Does this void warranty?
This could indeed void the warrantly, as typically users are not supposed to open the back cover. Having said this, if you turn off the appiance first and observe all safety precautions, this action can done done without problems. But yes, at your own risk.
What will happen if we do not clean the condensor ?
1st, you only need to clean the condenser if you see a lot of dust (possibly stuck to grease/fat from the kitchen) through the condenser cover. The dust essentially prevents that the condenser can release the heat that is absorbed from the inside of the refrigerator. The cooling performance will go down eventually.
I don't have a vacuum. An LG repairman was here yesterday AFTER LEAVING ME FOR 1 WHILE MONTH WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE REPAIR OF YOUR FAULTY COMPRESSOR WAS ON WARRANTY and the guy didn't bring anything to clean the coils with him either. My refrigerator is only 2 years old, and already I have had to throw out all my food 4 times because of your goddamn refrigerator.

How the water can be removed???
There is no need, the amount should not be that much. The water should evaporate naturally, aided by the temperature of the condenser which is near the drain pipe.
And what happen with the back side of the condenser? With this solution will keep it dirty!
We do not show a complete cleaning, that would take too long, but you can take a soft brush to try and reach that area.
Not useful because they designed most of their coil air flow from the right side and then block it with a brace and cooling fan so you cant safely clean the coils without disassembly.
Hence the suggestion to wear gloves and unplug the power first Sally. But as mentioned, we also sell refrigerators with a condenser mounted on the back wall.
I had no issues. My fridge matches the one in the video
This did not help me one bit. I need to know how to clean the evaporator which is non-removable
The evaporator or the condenser? You cannot clean the evaporator yourself. And the condenser can be cleaned as suggested. What exactly did not help, please provide more details so we can betetr assist you.
