He should be riding horses bareback during the week when he's not getting on bulls. I think it's cool that he's getting on bulls at 41, but that PBR bull is a completely different level. I just hope he doesn't get hurt, but he's a grown man and makes his own decisions.

Bull riding is a wild sport. I used to be in shape, but when I tried it the hardest part is not the phisical stuff but the mental aspect. Your instincts are telling you to jump away from the bull on every jump, so you gotta go against your head.
Cowboy and Dale, I use to work with a Boy Scout Troop a few years back here in Baltimore, during Summer we did a Camp, and we were told the NRA puts on a Gun Saftey Camp. Where certified instructors would teach gun saftey, teach them to shoot 22 rifles, and Shotguns, supplied guns and ammo, put on the feed bag, and provided cabins for a weekend camp, they got a certificate to certify them at the end, and it was free. Maybe yall could contact the local NRA and see if they got something simular, it could help with cash flow if they do. Maybe contact a local Veterans Organization VFW, American Legion
Dale I heard you mention the ghost escape . It is a good escape, but easy for top guy to shut down if he simply switches to a different version of side control (like kesa) . But if I may advise - concentrate (when in bottom side control ) on simply getting as much inside position as possible. If you can get inside position with one extremity , you can then try to get inside position with two extremities. If you can get three extremities in inside position , then you can escape bottom side control every time . Getting as many extremities as you can to inside position grips will always be the key to escaping side control (or any pin, actually) no matter what position or variation the top guy goes to.

You have to suround your self with the best if you wanna be the best, my great uncle Bob Wegner, rodeo hall of famer, AkA the (Golden buckle boy) 1965 world champion, won all the big daddy rodeos.. know one even knows that he was really the first man to cover the legendary Tornado, a week befor freckles Brown covered him and was named the first man to ride him, only because Bob sparred the hide off him down at a practice arena since it wasn't a sanction event it never counted against him!! Coach Dale brisby make me into one of the interns. I was the first person to cover JW hearts bull rodeo time ada fire and ice. He was already unriden in the PBR when I covered him
