One of the best board game explanations I have ever watched. Perfectly paced, straight to the point, and so easy to understand. Also love the choice of background music! Fantastic job, thank you so much! 🙏
Wow, one of the best explanation videos I have ever seen. Great editing, tone, and I love the thematic reasonings! Looking forward to seeing this at PAX U!
@@CzechGamesEdition Finally my copy has arrived, nobody told me that the board will shine like a yu-gi-oh card, Oh my god! so beautiful, I did not regret purchasing it! 🙂 I've never seen a board game shining before. 😯
The box art does not match how gorgeous this game looks! This was an awesome tutorial and seems like a fantastically interactive economic game. Props to the developers and props to the graphic design for making such a striking game
Played this once, but I really liked it. Very interesting take on market driven by the players. A bit different than in Clans of Caledonia, but interesting, in more opportunistic way. And those "wooden" pieces are great, would love to see more of it
I felt in love for more reasons: 1. The thematics 2. For the concrete complexity of the game. It will give you a concrete idea about the consequences of your action on the engine game 3. Eleni and her beautiful voice
The game will be beautiful. No doubt... Im from Czech republic and Kutná Hora is really tourist place where to go. Kostnice near Kutná Hora is important place in Bohemia history too..Little scary but interesting...The mines in Kutná Hora there ( roads )are very small and low and showing the reality they having miners every day. Kostnice ( especialy little church) is very near from Kutná Hora. But for me the most beautiful thing is this woman very near from the box with the board game Kutná Hora in this video thats showing the game realy perfectly.... ❤🎉( Sorry im not perfect in english language). Greetings from Czech republic. And all fans of this board game. Kutná Hora is worth to visiting...
This game looks perfect for me! There are a few popular games at essen by the sounds of it and im glad this one is on everyones lips. After watching this great rules video im asking for this game for christmas. My wife has said im allowed 2 games only 😂 and this will 100% be one of them. I've been doing tonnes of research on my choice too. Can't wait for a plaaythough video!
Played this yesterday for the first time and we had a really good time! Can’t wait to play it again today. Two questions: - can you perform a St. Barbara Cathedral action without taking the effect/bonus? (To get a grey pelican or to just advance to the next tile) - expect for breaking the tie: do you count your leftover money for points during final scoring? (I performed two income actions in the last round to find out you only get points for the virtual income action during final scoring) Thanks in advance!
Felt a bit overwhelmed after watching this... That said the actual game did not feel that heavy. The game is certainly interesting, unique and the replay-ability is very high.
Wow, I am ready to buy one copy. Only one restriction, I want it with those CGE metal coins for Kutná Hora. For now, I am not able to see any store which can sell those. I hope, there will be some in a moment, when the game will go into a market in Czech Republic :)
That's great to hear! :) The metal coins will be available in any shop that will get launch kits of the game, so you'll only have to wait until November ;)
In the mean time, if the stand slots are too tight, I recommend using a file or other narrow tool to widen them. That will prevent wear on the sliders.
This seems like a nice game and heavier than I originally thought (which for me is a good thing) ! Having said that, do the card stands have enough room to accommodate cards with sleeves ? In the video it seems that they are a tight fit without them, so a I guess not. I'd much rather have a game without gimmicks like that and be able to protect my components than the other way around.
@@the_boardgameexperience What kind of a dismissive attitude is that ? The "it's just blank" can be said about anything, it holds zero value. Also, nice try devaluing my opinion by being condescending, but I don't buy that "minority" thing, thousands of people sleeve their cards and even put their tokens in coin capsules or laminate their boards. If you're that surface level that you can go "it's just cards (=money)" then please go right ahead, but do NOT try to pass it like it's the norm.
@@giannisc.5254 I do sleeve the majority of my games, so yes I know the feeling of not being able to do so. But I also found your comment to be condescending when you said you'd rather be able to sleeve your cards than get a gimmick in a game, which is probably something a lot of people worked on and which, also, by seeing it in action, quite functional and very useful in this kind of game.
@@the_boardgameexperience Condescending ? Stating a preference ? I also prefaced it by stating that the game seems nice. Even if that was my intention (which wasn't), what are you ? Their white knight in shining armour ? Do you do this with everyone that writes similar comments on games you like ?
I have the game and can confirm that the cards only fit in the card stand without sleeve. This is okay for my needs, since the cards are already well protected by the card stand. But I also understand the wish to sleeve especially cards which are used a lot. However, the card holders are not just a gimmick but an essential functionality for the game mechanics. If the card stands were designed to hold cards with sleeves, cards without sleeves would no longer stick.
This is a perfect tutorial. This woman knows how to speak, perfect pacing, nothing is rushed, everything is clear. Magnifique !!!

Very clear and concise teach of the game. Thank you!
I played this today, rules of gathering points are quite convoluted. Thx for nice explanation, it made a few things clearer now xD
Glad it helped!🤗
Thank you Elleni for this perfect explanation.

CGE is easily my favorite publisher. They never miss.
Wow! Thank you ❤
I was a bit hesitant whether to get this game, but now I am really excited to play it! Thanks, Eleni! 😊
Hope you enjoy it!
I think it's that minimalistic art on the box, that makes the game look boring, but it's actually deep like Kutná Hora's silver mines ::D
Brilliant explanation and overview. Thanks!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very well explained - looking forward to getting this
Wonderful explanation.
Thanks for the videos in teaching the game. This is the first time I watch a lesson of the game from the beginning till the end 😊

Fix the terrible market stands. they are way too tight. all my sliders have edges ripped off to white before even starting the first game!
In the mean time, if the stand slots are too tight, I recommend using a file or other narrow tool to widen them. That will prevent wear on the sliders.
There is a small bug in your video, you start with level 3 wood buildings and then continue with that level 4 building.
What an amazing game 👌❤️❤️
Thanks.
Will be there a mobile version of this game (android, ios)?

I guess you are in the minority here... It's just cards.

do the card stands fit sleeved cards?
Why would you sleeve the cards in the stands? You barely handle them and never shuffle them.
