Its a vst and can be used in Kontact not used keyscape but found a library of omnisphere sounds on net with a ton more sounds that someone made for it using its sound design aspect
John, please make more videos like that, for the Keyboard player in transition to Soft Synth World like me, this information was very important!!! When you share the combination of the sounds plus the interaction with the Midi Controller and how you are mapping volume, stacks...Thank you so much!!!
Awesome video John. In Stacks mode, can you control each individual volume sliding them up and down like on a Montage for live playing? Thanks in advance bro!
Awesome Video John, just purchased omnisphere two months ago. Your layers are awesome for worship, but what other patches out of omnisphere do you use when it's time to go to church?!?!
Hey John, Wondering if you could walk me through how you use keyscape in a live setting from the sense of how you send the signal to a speaker best. Ive tried running the program solo using the headphone/aux out of my laptop directly into a speaker and found the connection and sound to be not some great. Do you run the computer into a interface before sending the signal to a speaker?
Loves this video! Helped me decide to go with omnisphere for live performance. Out of curiosity, what buffer size do you use for live situations so that you don’t get any drop outs or any other issues? Thanks!
If Omni/Keyscape had a real, usable B3 and a real brass section (non-synth), this could replace Mainstage. Until then, no. Also - how does one create 8 layer multis, save them, and then switch between them like Mainstage?
Im thinking about getting Keyscape. I have omnisphere but im afraid this will get Cpu intensive if i use keyscape and take up all my space. And its like 400 bucks
I am fed up with mainstage, the software is glitchy. Thinking about switching to omnisphere/keyscape in live mode instead for my Sunday rig. Do you use drones? If so, is there a way they could be achieved in Omnisphere?...I currently use Sunday Keys mainstage template with built-in drone section.
I know its 2 years later just put a pad on a channel and put that channel on latch. You can convert also ambient pads mp3 to wav and upload it in Omnisphere and use it Ive done it or do it for drone pads
QUESTION: I am currently using NI Komplete 13 CE, V Collection 7 and Output Bundle in my home studio, which is all I need. But I am also a musician who play keyboard at church and live events. I was wondering if Keyscape and Omnisphere would be good for mainly that purpose, as I don't really like how especially the pianos and keyboards feel in Komplete for playing at church. And also for pads and synths, the V Collection uses a lot of CPU when running dozens of instances with layered patches. I know that Omnisphere would have less instances open (since I can layer up to 8 patches at once), so maybe it would be less load for the CPU. A the moment I have around 50 different patches loaded in Ableton for my live sets with CPU spiking sometimes in the high 70s and occasionally goes higher.
@@Johnmike So even though I most likely would use less patches for Omniphshere, would it still be as CPU heavy the 50 other patches that are in my current setup? The V Collection patches are very heavy on the CPU when playing multiple of them at once, while I could maybe layer sounds in Omnisphere to use far less instances
@@BuenoLaidley This would require a DAW, but you could pre-record certain parts from the Arturia instruments into your DAW (eg. pads, bass line, etc), then use the DAW to play them back while you play other instruments live via Omnisphere with your midi keyboard. That would markedly reduce demands on your CPU. Also, there are some VSTs out there from TAL & other companies which do a spectacular job of emulating iconic synths (Jupiter-8, Oberheim OB-X, Prophet 5, etc.), they are not as CPU intensive as Arturia's instrument emulations, and they actually sound as good or better than Arturia. Last, but not least, UVI has a fantastic range of sample based libraries/players that cover an even larger range of synths than Arturia, the players can run in stand-alone mode, plus they sound fabulous & are far less demanding on CPUs. You can easily run four or five UVI synths simultaneously without stressing your CPU. The downside is that the UVI sample libraries require a huge amount of storage, and it would be best to use a SSD. I hope this helps. 😊
can you do a quick short studio one video on audio editing, specifically, copyimg, repeating arranging midi and audio parts, splicing and crossfading, timestretching....i'm unable to subscribe to your studio one courses.. ;(
The komplete kontrol is my favorite controller of all time...but it doesn’t have any native controls for pro tools like it does for logic and other DAWs...but I’m sure it can be midi mapped...otherwise you can just use it to control native instruments stuff
When you have chance. Can you share your buffer and sampling settings. I been having trouble with omnisphere in regards to sound. Wanted to see if maybe your settings may help me. Thanks.
1. Does it have great bass sounds (I play solo all the time and a lot of Quartet)? 2. I get a lot of popping sounds using mainstage. How can I stop it?
You can buy trillan(another software they make) and you can use it to run bass lines...two with mainstage...it can be a million different things from your buffer size to your cpu to the number of layers you have to all of the above...I have quite a few videos on this channel about mainstage and I y’all a lot about CPU management as well on a few videos
@@Johnmike thanks! Does Omnisphere 2 and keyscape still run without any problems or latency on it? I asked spectrasonics what specs I should get on a MacBook pro for those instruments and they told me to get the best there is.. But seriously.. I love listening to professionals give demos of Omnisphere. I can't play, but Omnisphere is awesome.
Man the layers are divine!
LA Custom C7 Grand Piano
Adagio Expressivo
MKS 20 E. Piano 2 Gospel
Wurlitzer 140B
Eighties Bells
You should have added this to your patch bundle release!!!
Really great instructional video that simplifies what I needed to do in a Live set. Thx John Mike
Very nice piece you played in the beginning brother! Thanks for this video by the way ✌🏻
That melody is so beautiful, Mike! I stayed up past my bed time to find it. Thank You!
great video, Just added Omnisphere to my live rig. I love it for recording. If all I use is Keyscape I am a happy musician. Thanks
Just purchased Omnisphere and thinking about getting Keyscape as well.
And this Layered with Keyscape gives me Purity Vibes and Ravity (S) Vibes but so much better. More in depth very clean sound
Exactly what I’ve been looking for! I will use this stack/layer in service tonight! Thx John Mike!

Thomas Brown I’ll be doing a vid soon covering those!
Great Video, John. Would Omnisphere work okay with MainStage or would it be a huge toll on the CP usage?
I’ve used omnisphere in mainstage a ton of times...works fine...but make sure your system is optimized(Max ram...SSD etc etc)

Yes please use a interface to process the sounds for you..
Hey John,
What is the best way to route sounds from my iPad to a mixer in any church?
Hi John, quick question can you save your sounds in multi and recall? If so can you do a video on how to do it thanks.
Can you do a video about your new laptop and how are you able to manage with 256GB of hard disk
That’s coming soon and I actually have one with 512 in it
Thanks fam! I'm always looking for new sounds. I'm saving this as a multi right now named "John Mike stack" lol

How does Keyscape piano sounds compare to a Yamaha Motif piano sounds?. Looking to replace my 88 key with something more lightweight.

I keep my buffer around 256 and my sample rate at 44.1...most issues people have come from CPU power and hard drive speed
Thanks. I think now I know why my sound is likely being choppy. The plugins you have stored on local or external?
On an external SSD

Nothing It’s an application by itself now...you don’t need a host software to use it anymore
I'm having trouble with much higher latency when using Omnisphere and Keyscape standalone. Any suggestions what to do about it?
Wich version of omnisphere are you using ? Plus how I can make it standalone
2.5 and it installs a stand-alone version once you update to the newest version

Yup

Not much but I would suggest having at least 8GB as a bare minimum

470 US $ for omnisphere are you insane? I can buy used upright piano for this money. . Software only money free.
