In India, no one watches how much you eat in a buffet. You have a time slot of 2.5 hours(may vary from restaurant to restaurant) and can eat as much as possible. Also, you can adjust the species and taste of a dish according to your taste :) They also do live music, free special occasion celebration (Bringing Cake, singing, and dancing for you), and mob dance by waiters.
Adam actually only eats like this once a week and his weekly intake of food is just the same as your average person, despite the amount he eats in that one day. That's the reason he's able to be in the shape that he's in.

I believe eating buffet is more about enjoying yourself with the variety of food. Good buffet restaurants will offer pastas and other fillers that taste really good so you don't keep draining their seafood wallet and I see nothing wrong with that. If the food is good, the food is good.

It's cultural actually, in Britain Rugby/American Football players (as we call Soccer Football here), are normally big, meaty and strong, not slim and fast. Would not expect the teams to be close to playing in the same style because of that, as it's still approached similar to Rugby which just relies on strength over speed most of the time.
