My Virgin Kitchen can you blend the past sauce to make it smooth or would it affect the taste?
Thank you for indicating this as an ad and thank you for not making it a horrible ad.
Ads help support keeping the channel afloat, this was a really interesting one to do, I learnt so much! thanks
My Virgin Kitchen, so many ad vids out there are just awful, but, like a terribly cooked steak, this was well done. Thanks for sharing!

Man, this video really shows how good Rob could have been for you if he was able to stick around. It really sucks that he got such a negative response, I liked what he contributed when he first joined you. You could tell he sparked some extra creativity in you. I hope he goes on to do some great things. And I hope you don't let all the negativity tarnish your passion for making videos. Keep it up Barry, you are doing awesome!
thanks a bunch, we are hoping to work on some videos as and when together ideally
Awesome! :-)
I like Rob!!! I hope he can be a “guest” once in awhile.
was there an announcement of rob leaving?
Did I miss something? :( I liked the new vids
Rob clearly knows his stuff! Hope to see some collaborations with him in the future even if it won't be a permanent thing (for now...).
Glad to have at least one more video done by Rob. He has such a great style in filming. Wish he was still with the channel.
leona estep Do you know when and why he left? I couldn't notice any announcement although I'm a regular watcher 😕
I continue to really appreciate that your ads are indicated as ads and are relevant to what you do. Love it, keep it up! Seriously, getting such high rating on ads is really impressive.
Did anyone else hear angels singing when the finished cheese room was on the screen? :)
Something I love about this channel is how diverse the videos are, you can learn how to cook simple dishes, find some pretty cool gadgets, and now learn about delicious regional foods all with a wonderful personality backing it up. Keep up the good work, this video was amazing! The addition of the recipe at the end was great too! 🍝
I know I’m a little late to watch/comment but I just wanted to say Rob’s filming made this look so professional! Good luck to him he’s clearly very talented!
Yesterday I started working in a restaurant, one of the most used ingredients: Grana Padano. Amazing coincidence, now I can tell the guests an interesting origin story if they are interested. Amazing video, Barry! Thank you!
Awesome
I hope you don't mention Barry in your story. It may put a few patrons off 😁
It'd be great to see more videos like this in the future! Really enjoyed the style
Oh that's absolutely amazing! I really love Grana Padano, I loved seeing how it's made. Thanks a lot for taking up that offer they gave you to visit!

Massive cheers for this video! I recently started working in the cheese section of my local supermarket. I love learning more to help me do my job better or at least know more! This recipe looks so yummy! Might have to grab some cheese on the way home from work and give this a go!

A How It’s Made narrated by Barry. You just made my evening and the morning commute. =)
I had no idea! Great vid!
Love this educational style. That must have been a tremendous amount of effort to produce but much appreciated. 👍
Just repeated back what I learnt from the trip it’s a really cool process
Amazing video and production value. Please make more of these videos! Even if they are ads! Benefits us both viewers and yourself Barry, it gives us a really good video to watch and helps you financially! Brilliant! :)
Love this video 📹 it was very educational show your visit to the cheese factory and the pasta looks yummy 😋
I diden't know about this kind of cheese. Thanks Barry! You need your own tv show. Please do more like this. Hugs from Norway.

WoW Barry!!!!! Amazing vid Thank you so much its beutifull
I like the way you look when talking to the employees at the cheese factory, like a little kid about to meet santa in the mall for the first time. LOVED it! I would probably look the exakt same :) fantastic video with a interesting topic! Keep it up!
oh. my. god. this looks so amazing
the camera work on the ingredients and cooking process was top notch :)

Nailed it.
Great video!!! And that pasta dish looks yummy
So simple to make hope you enjoy
Love Grana Padano cheese - good price and great taste!
Yeah it was really nice fresh like that too from the wheel
I always find the topic of mass scale food production fascinating and this is super cool, thanks Barry :D
me too, i'd love to do more actually it was fascinating!
Awsom barry look at u youve come a long ways
Long time subscriber, first time commenter. I thoroughly enJOYed this video! And, as usual, I'm now h.u.n.g.r.y.! Merry CHRISTmas from upstate SC!
I am SO making this tomorrow :o
The dragon born would be in heaven in that cheese room
Wow, another amazing quality video :) Cheers Barry, also when is the next Barshens podcast coming?!
Hi, I'm in the north part of Italy, near Venice, and I really appreciate this video 😊❤ Can I suggest you to remember to add salt in the water before cooking pasta, I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people who don't do it. Bye! 😁
I love the style and quality of this video, I much preferred Rob. Sad that things changed
he did a fab job
he really did! :)
What happened to Rob?
You don't even like cold cheese? Hahah I saw him go for that small bite.
Fascinating, Barry, and that pasta dish looks superb. Unusual to see you eating cheese in it's raw state - might you get a taste for it now? I don't like sweet things much, so cheese is a passion of mine. Grana Padano is one of the best. Nice one!
I love cheese I want to try this cheese when I go to Italy
So interesting to see how foods are made!!!! So what do they do with the cheese that gets x'd out? Does it go for store brands or just thrown out?
Super cool Video!!!! Thumbs up
Not being a fan of non-melted cheese were you apprehensive about trying a big chunk of it? Great video, hope to see more like it.
Yes I was but I like this style cheese it’s the cheddars and blue cheese I can’t do, but yeah would normally have a grating rather than a wedge haha
I was wondering the same thing! Thanks for sharing!
My Virgin Kitchen those are some quite specific types of cheese though, there are many more types, Dutch Gouda Cheese, Swiss Alpine cheese, white mould cheeses (like Brie and Camembert), or one of my personal favourites: port salut (which if you like molten cheese I can imagine you might also really enjoy), and that's just a few examples
Awesome & interesting
Awesome video!
Thanks
My favorite cheese to put on Spaghetti !!
I had so much of it back with me!
Hey Barry great vid
thanks a bunch
Very well done and very YOU. As others have said, glad you didn't go robot on us! And that was a convincing "I like cold cheese" face. We know, but I doubt they did. Haha! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Barry you should do more video like this
Wait, Rob is gone? Have I missed something here?
Love the video! Love all the cheese. It must be overwhelming seeing all the shelfs with cheese knowing how much milk it needs making just one. Do you know or anyone else, if they do anything with the remaining whey? Sandra
It’s def used I can’t remember exactly but the website may explain
Really interesting video Barry. More of this in 2018 would be neat.
Great video very informative. Do you know how much one of those cheese wheels weighs and how much they cost?
Beautifully made video. Your new camera man has been a great addition
Really informative but most of all, that pasta looks amazing!
Thanks a bunch
You were in Italy! 😘😍
Cool format Barry. Being from Wisconsin, I live amongst a ridiculous cheese culture, and have worked for an award winning Parmesan maker. Even on a large scale it is truly an artisanal craft.
I see... Barry's new R. Kelly moment! This time by delicious hard cheese! 😊
The main reason to buy grana padano is that it's slightly cheaper than parmigiano reggiano, and when cooking with it, there's not much of a difference in taste.
Oh, adding a sprig of basil to the sauce while it's cooking will really ramp up the flavor
The methods for their production are really similar, but Parmigiano Reggiano has a strict set of "rules" that you need to meet to get the "Permigiano" staple on your cheese.
Grana has its set of regulations a bit more relaxed so it could be considered "less traditional" but it is really good nontheless.
As far as i am aware. Grana padano and Parmigiano Reggiano are essentially identical. The difference is that a Parmegan cheese has to have originated in the region of Parmigiano. (Hence the name Reggiano) Grana padano is made right next door (regionally speaking) Basically the same principle that says that only carbonated wine from the Champagne region is legally allowed to be named Champagne. All others has to be named Brut... (If i remember my EU rules correctly)
There's restrictions on the type of milk, also parmigiano reggiano has to be at least 12 months old, meanwhile you can get 10 months old grana padano.
Awesome I love how things are made.
I like the Tillimook factory here in Oregon you can do a self tour and take yer time looking at everything.
But you got to help out a little at Tillimook you just watch on the other side of the glass.
Great video keep it up man
thanks pal
Thank you for the recipe, the Grana Padano cheese was enough and no need for the cream.
Sponsored by a cheese company
Hates cheese
😂
Jillian Leigh 😂
This is one of the only cheeses I can do :-) I'm normally a grate it on pasta kind of chap like in the recipe though but a cheeseboard would be very hard to try maybe a food fear idea
My Virgin Kitchen yes, try a chunk of it for Food Fear. Also try Gorgonzola cheese. It is literally my least favorite kind of food. It is horrible lol. I understand your fear of cheese, I fear cheeses other than basic, mild cheeses lol.
I thought if the cheese was hot/melted Barry likes it. I know he loves pizza.
My Virgin Kitchen yes you haven’t done a food fear in awhile
Mmmmm cheese
Did you get to hear some of the Bresciano dialect while you were there?
Was apprehensive because this is paid product placement but nicely done Barry, made it really interesting and I learned something about cheese!
This was an amazing video! I really miss Robs filming/editing style. Hopefully you can get him back for the odd occasion. :-)
😭 oh no you're making my mouth water
i got your christmas jumper
Hey Barry!
hi
So how does this compare to the salty foot-shavings in a tub from the supermarket then? :P
when he tried the cheese at the place i was like but you cant stand cold cheese
...and if you put some olive oil and chilly on it would be lovely...🤞
Is there anything that I can use instead of rosemary? Don't care for the flavor. Please let me know. Thanks Mr Barry
Is this Irony in a video? Barry who hate's cheese, going to a Cheese making factory!!
miss Rob. what do they do with the xd out cheese?
Gets sold off locally from what I remember
You should make horchata!!!!
It sounded to me like you said Guano padano .... I'm so glad I'm wrong...
You should try even the Parmigiano Reggiano. It's even better than the Grana
Rob did a great job. Bless you for actually eating the cheese Barry. Great job all round
would be GREAT if you could give us a thorough description of the cheese flavor... ¡¡¡DUDE!!!
Hi
You ate cold cheese 😲😲😲
i thought Barry hated non-melted cheese
Most cheeses yep yep but this was good, would have it grated normally
fair enough :)
Barry, you don’t like cold cheese!!!
You need a tv show
But... you don't like cheese. Well, unless it's melted. I'm glad you got a sponsor, but it seems odd that it's for something that you don't love. Like if you had a tea sponsor. lol Just wondering if that was a fake reaction when you tasted the cheese after it was sliced? hmm...
The first comment
omg
Cheesus Christ!
Damn this video was cheesy :P
nice pun
These puns are really going to grate on me. . . .
