    Those bug fans work pretty well. We usually have some around when we have a barbecue. Manages to keep the flies and wasps away from the food.
    As for that bag holder, I just take a large beerglass, put the bag inside that and fold the edge of the bag around the glass. Works just as well.

    carrot greens are edible, so you can use them in soup, but actually carrots with the greens still on will be less fresh at the store than ones with them cut off, because the greens will keep sucking the life out of the carrot after it's been picked, so they go soft and lose flavor a lot faster than the ones that have had the greens removed after harvesting

    • @morkusmorkus6040
      @morkusmorkus6040 2 месяца назад +4

      Definitely true. But it's less that its "sucking the life" and more that the leaves continue to transpire, so without the root (the carrot) being watered there is a net loss of moisture, thus they'll go floppy and soft much quicker.

    The best juicer I've found for someone with hand issues is an old fashioned glass one, cause you can use your weight on the top of the fruit to get all the juice without too much pain. Be sure to put the juicer on a towel, then put one hand on top of the other on the fruit and twist. Works for me, anyway. And put the plastic bag in a large glass, clip an old fashioned clothespin in a couple places over the edge of the bag and glass. Takes up almost no space in drawer, and costs nothing if you already hang your clothes outside.

    12:57 i wonder if this would work for my TV? 😂 i was thinking it looked like rabbit ears (that's what we called those analog tv antennas that I would always end up having to hold or adjust to get a better signal. Lol)

    The Pot i'd put Nutella or a chocolate spread and some bread sticks. Like a glorified version of those little post we used to get as kids that had little bread sticks and chocolate dip!

    For pouring things into a ziplock baggie, I've always just used a big coffee mug or water jug. Tuck the appropriately-sized baggie into the mug/jug and spread the open end over the rim of the mug. No additional kitchen gadgets necessary.

    Bread sticks and Biscoff Spread would be great in that carrot and Hummus pack...

    The little zester kind of looks like the Peg Egg thing they were advertising on TV years ago to scrub the soles of your feet.

    I thought I saw the bag opener here before but it's someone else that did it. It's pretty fantastic isn't it? I snatched one up on T**u for a really cheap price. So worth it. I'm going to get one of those microblades for my tiny kitchen, pretty cool!!!

    I have a similar garlic chopper, but its round, easier to press down, and seemingly better made. Also, it looks like part where the garlic goes into has a texture on the outside you can use to grate the garlic like mine does.

    For the little dipping sauce Tupperware i would do some either thin bread sticks or pretzel rods with some home make nacho cheese.

    Anytime I see hummus, I remember how my country just uses the word (we just write it and pronounce it as humus) as a general word to describe something disgusting. 😂 great gadgets!

    Id use the Carrot and Hummus container for Shrimp and Cocktail sauce. No doubt in my mind. Perfection.

    There's an old belief that if you hang up bags of water, the glinting light off them from the sun will keep flies away. It doesn't work, but I think that's the idea of the glittery stuff on the blades of the bug fan thing.
