I have had tinnitus since 1984. Every moment of every day this ringing never goes away. it's in both ears. 40 years of noise. It's horrible but over time you learn to live with it. I also wear ear plugs every time I go to the movies.
Dear Katie, I am a Christian too. I have social anxiety, which is similar to people pleasing. I hope the Lord will help us overcome these problems. I also have a permanent ear condition. You seem to be a loving person. The Lord Jesus bless you❤

That whole people pleasing thing… I really relate to that because for me I feel like it got worse when I started to have kids. I also went through a painful process of accepting that no one cares or even notices how much you work and sacrifice yourself. So I realized that you need to do things for yourself and not to expect or demand appreciation. It’s very hard though 😊
Ps - 6 weeks is a huge Amt of time. Taylor swift just wrote her newest album based on a 2 week relationship with Matt Healy !! Lol if that helps 🫶🫶
Katie…thank you so much for your insight on “people pleasing behaviors and tendencies,” hearing you say “people pleasing does not benefit anyone, it does not benefit me and it does not benefit them,” really struck me like a bolt of lightning. As someone whose been in 12 step programs for over a decade, we discuss people pleasing a lot, and no one has ever said said what you said about it and I’m very grateful for your wisdom and experience!!! Thank you
It’s better not to share everything about your life. I shared too much and it didn’t work out.
This really hit home for me-I struggle with so many of the things you described. It feels good to hear someone vocalize it-makes me feel less alone in the struggle!

Agreed a 6 week relationship can be very serious. My husband and i were saying i love you at 2 weeks and we meant it. 21 years later still mean it❤☺️
I know exacty what you mean I had a friend who only, did what I wanted to do, listened to what i wanted to listen to and talked about what I wanted to talk about, it even got to a point where he would lie in order to agree with me/ make me happy. I felt like I was in a friendship with myself! I did not like that at all!
