I love how on RUclips there's Matthias Krantz, an engineer who ended up getting into piano, and Joel Creates, a pianist who ended up getting into engineering. *And both built pianos that are electrified in horrifying ways*

Seems like everyone had the same idea 🤔 maybe Joel will invent something to avoid this happening again

I'm actually really curious if you could also implement a system where not pressing the right key was punished, rather than simply punishing pressing the wrong one. Like, if I don't think I'll hit the right key, I could just, not hit anything. 10/10 music player because no wrong notes..... No right notes either, but your system doesn't seem to punish that :P
My music teacher taught me that air notes are infinitely better than wrong notes, recognizing that you're going to make a mistake before you make it is valuable even if you don't have time to correct it.

@@Leadvest that's fair, from a learning perspective that is probably much better. I was more saying that cause I noticed there would be no circuit loop for the shock to travel through unless you touched a key
@@Zhisaoka I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean, but as I mentioned in the other reply I left, the way it works is by passing the shock through the key itself. If you don't touch anything it physically can't shock you, given the current setup. Rhythm or not, no key means no shock

This honestly would make an amazing teaching tool. I could also see it being applied to a computer keyboard as well. Learning to type by getting shocked when you press the wrong keys is both a hilarious game and potentially a good tool.

You should make a second version that slowly charges a capacitor as you're playing correct notes. Then, when you mess up it releases all the energy stored in the capacitor.
What would be better is if it cached where you messed up and each time you mess up in the spot it shocks more

God I need one right now. I don’t even play piano, but because it shows on the computer what to play, this looks like a great experience to play with friends.
I normally put that on my back and turn it up to 7. My wife doesn't even like level 1. But I guess it also has to do with just how much pain you are in all day. For me 7 is just enough to make my brain forget about the pain in my back. Cool idea to use that as a safe power source for this project. Keep up the great work.
