I'd expect it's inevitable, but the extent to which it happens would depend on the handle and the hand. But I do find DeWalt handles sightly less comfortable for my hand than Makita or Milwaukee as they're a bit square-ish
When in doubt, always choose horizontal motor (L shaped) rotary hammer.

So they both suck? 40 seconds is a long ass time
I guess if you're drilling holes that big often you'd want an SDS max. 26mm is near the top of their range for these guys
