GX1 with 20 1.7 used usually seems to go for about $300-350 now, a bit inflated maybe but still a decent camera, especially with that lens although M43 has no shortage of good lenses. The Olympus E-PL5 or E-PM2 may be better deals and the 20 1.7 works fine with those too, in fact they will add IBIS to the mix too so you can shoot 2 or 3 stops lower ISO. Good photos by the way.
Wonderfull night pics with the snow ! There is a kind of hype with Some cameras and prices are rising in just a few months of time. Couldn't find the Gx1 so I bought the G5 last year, so small with a good grip, a mini mirrorless dslr ! Love the 20mm pancake. It works well with vintage m42 lenses with adapter too. I realise now that lenses stays, and camera bodies come and go.
G5 sounds nice. Manual focus stuff really needs a viewfinder. I tried shooting some birds on sunday with the GX1 and a Jupiter-21M 200mm f/4 telephoto m42 lens. It was almost impossible to nail the focus.
have to say to constrast the other comments: the fidgeting was quite nice for me! Felt like it helped to have movement & action to go alongside what you were saying.
I've got the Konica Minolta g600 which is the later model of the Revio that you've got. I love it! There's a cheat code menu for a RAW file that needs to be de-encrypted lol Great video. I'm considering picking up a GX1.
Did these photos have editing done, or are they unedited? Great shots nonetheless, just wondering what to expect out of the box? New to digital photography
I recently got a Olympus EM-5 classic for $200, and with a good low light 25mm f/1.7 lens. It is also compact and be somewhat pocketable in a jacket pocket, with EVF and a classic silver look on the body.
Beautiful shots mate! I love my GX1. I picked up a Japanese version this past year- really great condition and cheaper price than GX1s in the US market. The Japanese ones are language locked so I had to do a bit of hacking to convert it to english lol
@@too_many_cameras mine came without a lens so I opted for a 7artisans 25mm F1.8 - it's fully manual lens but I enjoy it. I usually let the camera select the shutter speed to for simplicity
@@davidoutside There's a hack you can do with an SD card, I had to read like 30 old forums to figure it out lol. I can try to find a link for you if you'd like.
Thanks, hold the camera still, I get dizzy ..😊
Those are some wonderful photos 😊
I had that Konica film camera years ago. I forgot. Thanks for reminding me. Nice vid!!
Wonderful !

Sounds like a nice kit. I had that lens on a E-P1 last summer. Worked really well.
@@too_many_cameras a really good kit for me, but i might need a zoom lens for this as an alternative.
I would probably get the 12-32 Lumix if it needs to be small sized
The kinica looks interesting
It's one of my deepest regrets that I sold my 20mm, it's one of my favorite lenses.

Yeah heard about the Japanese only version. Glad there was a hack available. Do you also shoot with the 20mm?

Wow how did you
Manage to change the language??

Just got a Japanese version as well and was trying to figure out how to change it to English. It would be great if you could send me a link!
How does it compare to the g1 any options
They are very dissimilar cameras. I'd take the GX1 over G1
I like a vf though. The image quality is the same?
does this camera has auto ISO?
Yes it has
Not in Manual mode. Only in A, S, and P.
