У меня есть Nikon D3 с 280k срабатывания , и Nikon D3s с 260k срабатывания , а так же прекрасный Nikon D2Xs с 22k почти новый . Я обожаю свои камеры и никогда их не продам . Это лучшая эра камер Nikon . И никакая беззеркальная камера мне не нужна . Были у меня и z6ii и D780 , но цвет нравится именно с D3/D3s это волшебство . В планах еще найти хорошую D4/D4s , последние камеры с матрицей Nikon . Все остальное просто не интересно . Nikon D3❤

You can try to use vacuum cleaner to get most of the dust off from the sensor without opening the camera. I managed to clean out almost all of the dust out from my Coolpix A with this trick. I used duct tape to attach the tupe of the vacuum to the focusing ring part of the lens so it was airtight. Camera was powered on during this so the lens was out but tried to make sure that the tape or anything else didn't make contact with it. Then carefully used the vacuum in short bursts for like minute or two. Worked amazingly well for me but there is risk of breaking something while doing this. My dust problem was so bad that i had pretty much nothing to lose and managed to clear all of the dust except few very small dust particles that you have to really try find to even see. Used cordless dyson vacuum for this so be careful if you have more powerful corded vacuum.

Ah, the very same camera I acquired back in March and still works so well, it blew many people off, including folks who sold me 120 films. It was nearly destined to be a collectors exhibit, but the shutter suddenly worked and I ended up getting it at a much lower pricing than it was originally quoted at. But it’s a heavy camera I now limit myself from using unless the occasion calls for it. And a favourite camera I used to educate younger generations, so they will never forget or be inspired to continue what we currently do in future. A gentle reminder to them that “film never died”.

Great review. Never occurred to me that fixed lens digital cameras have unclean-able sensors! Have you thought about something like the Nikon Z30 as an alternative?

Hello buddy, I have this camera for 12 years now with 18-50 and 55-250 lens. I used it for initial 2 years from that time it’s just kept as it is. I have lately started Motor cycle rides and intent to click some pics. I have iPhone 15 plus too. Do you think I can use my 1100D for some fancy shots ? M also buying DJI action 4 in few days.

I have two DSC-V3 Sony's, have taken them around the world, purchases first in 2007, both still work great. DSC-V3 Still holds its own against iPhone photos, and it' a joy to use.

For everyday use its pretty good, but there better systems out there for less money. The 16-50mm F2-2.8 is VERY pricey and it has character but needs to be stopped down to F5.6 to be at its best. Honestly, NX1 is a cool system I owned it for 10 years, but the Olympus E-M1 Mark 2 slaps it around and thats a m4/3 system and its half the price, which imo is a better deal, Olympus even shoots better video and has sharper pictures despite the NX1's 28 megapixel sensor there only like 2 or 3 lenses capable of resolving that resolution well, all of those lenses are short telephoto which are useless for everyday use. You can get the Sigma 30mm F1.4 for Nikon F mount, and adapt it, then you can control the aperture via the adapter, that lens is like a 45mm on full frame in terms of field of view, its extremely sharp lens, in my experience its the best all around lens for NX1 but it also defeats the purpose of the camera, no autofocus, no stabiliser which means you cannot shoot any less than 1/100th with the NX1, remember, high megapixel sensors struggle immensely with micro-shake which causes blurry images. The NX1 suffers from this particularly since its shutter is not dampen like Canon does on their high megapixel APS-C bodies that does not have IBIS.

Its was discontinued almost 10 years ago. What are you complaining about ? The fact that this camera still makes very desent pictures and mirror automatic is still perfectly alive is already a big luck. Most of the plastic movable parts does not operate for 10 years, they degrade and crack. I also remember that it is quite unpleasant to use this camera without unlocked engineering menu. Because it was discontinued long ago, there are ways to unlock it and to reflash the firmware. In my area they cost 600$ -900$ for the naked body and i have no idea why . I think that, like with tablet Google Nexus 10 (that were done by Samsung as well), NX1 is another example, where Samsung have overdone themselves. It was the camera that was ahead of its time. But now, if you earn the money with photoshooting , it is definitively time to buy something more modern.

I want it for portrait shots, with 50mm 1.8 pancake lens. Is this a good combo? I only intend on shooting in good lighting, or should I just get a Google pixel and call it a day.

What about the 700D? The technical details are the same, but the body is bigger and fits larger hands better, and you can use a batterypack(there are tons of aftermarket versions for good price).It has the vari-angle touchscreen. Overall, a good alternative.

I have all three of Canon EF 50 f1.8 lenses (original metal mount, plastic mount and the newer STM) and agree the original metal mount lens is better and sharper than the lens that replaced it.

Nel 2004 sono passato al digitale proprio con la Olympus E-1, e scattavo direttamente in jpg quando fotografavo i matrimoni e cerimonie in genere. Basta saper esporre zonalmente ed esporre di destra, ovvero al limite dell'istogramma senza bruciare le alti luci che si vogliono ancora con dettagli. Come facevo con le diapositive... Detto questo, sono passato alla successiva Olympus E-3 dopo 4 anni perché la E-1 si era gustata, senza rilevare grandi differenze nei colori. Sicuramente il sensore stabilizzato, il monitor posteriore ampio ed orientabile, il sensore da 10mp più moderno che mi permetteva tranquillamente di scattare anche a 1.600 iso accettando un pochino di rumore... dava dei vantaggi rispetto alla E-1. Quest'ultima ha una migliore ergonomia e piacevolezza nell'uso, compreso uno otturatore più silenzioso che aiutava ad essere discreti. Ultimamente mi sono comprato una Olympus E-5 e mi godo ancora più i vetri Zuiko 4/3 professionali che ancora avevo. Con Olympus si hanno bei colori anche in jpg, a prescindere dalla fotocamera.

How’s the d300 in low light situations? Some say it’s the same sensor as the d700 but a crop vs full frame but according to DxOMark the d300 is really bad low light iso, 679 to 2303 for the d700.
