It makes the same amount of sense as doing the same thing to a Camaro or a Mustang. Gas Monkey actual built the Camaro. Ford offered and then cancelled a Mustang Raptor. People are mad at Ford, and that includes myself. Signed-Richard.
@@RobertGuidry-f3f The logic of the Ford motor company is all over the place. They once built a car named Maverick which was a complete joke. Then in 2022 a truck debuted also named Maverick. Guess they couldn’t come up with a creative or exciting sounding new name.
@@BrandonRalstonUSA True, but with the first one you can upgrade it into a better car with modern parts since it is old school Rear-Whrrl-Drive. That isn't possible with the "truck", (A truck will never be Front- Wheel-Drive, that makes it a Minivan and nothing else ever.) unless you take the body and put it on another platform. You could convert it into RWD. But you would have to payfor it at least two more times when you could just buy a real truck in the first place. Signed-Richard.

There was a guy in my high school who bought a Geo Metro (they had just hit the market) stripped it down, built a full custom chassis with a 454 big block and a manual transmission, then he fit the original body panels and as much of the stock interior to the car, if you saw this thing in a parking lot the only giveaway was that it had hood pins.
2:40 I have to admit that trans am looked good to me.

I like the idea of a convertible Trans Am and the execution of the conversion appears to be done pretty well but that car would need a hell of a lot more work to be worth the asking price.
@@MOTORHEADMISFITS-zk9suthere’s a company that did conversions on Trans Am’s back then. They actually showed one on an episode of The Duke’s of Hazard. If that Trans Am is one of them it could be worth some money.
Minus the fake shaker .... with hood closed has shaker ( shaker sticks out but is part of the engine air breather ..... when you see the engine has a mismatched (large on the bottom , small on the top) circle shaped air breather and no shaker !! LOL
Also when you see the pic of the hood open you will also notice a empty spot in the center where the shaker should stick out.
Kinda like the post office ride. Ummmm, I think i need to put the phone down and slowly back away!

If you love Corvette and you live where you get real winter and lots of snow, you might want a lifted 4x4 chassis with a Corvette body on it !!
The mail jeep hot rod is actually kind of cool! Would have been a lot cooler if the builder would have left the tires under the rear of the jeep instead of extending it and adding a bed.

My uncle cut the roof off a 71.5 Camaro added a big block and when the doors didn't want to he just welded them shut. I hear he made a nice naugahide cover for the interior so wouldn't get wet in the rain

The Chev truck I could get into. Maybe it needs a longer bed, but I really do like it. I’d take the 5th wheel off it and change a few things like the price but it’s cool. The first rat rod has potential too, it needs to be cheaper, but it’d still do up really cool.

This Geo Metro was a case where a guy built it, put a motor in it, looked at it & said WTF WAS I THINKING, took the motor out & is now trying to recoup his money spent on welding stick & hoping his friends won`t notice!

Some nowadays really "think" they have something, they have something alright a whole lot of empty space between the ears! I drove a 73 DJ5 mail jeep for over 25 years to work and everywhere else. It had over 375K miles on it and still ran great when I sold it. Wish I had not done that. I went through drive thru's backwards when by myself as it was right hand drive, got untold funny looks. Especially from those behind me as we were looking right at each other Don't really care for the one on here, to me they ruined it. Another great video sir.

As a European I'm just saying that Trans Am didn't look too bad as a convertible. Obviously there is going to be some nasty chassis flexing going on since that's the only thing stopping it breaking in half!

I love old Volvos. That "rat rod" needs saved. The cut fenders are the part I hate... these things actually make really cool lowered hot rods, but why would you try to cut all the fenders off?

I hate to admit this. But i looked at that tandem chevy. The engine is out of a giant 3 wheel tractor, the trans out of a older c60. And i couldn't figure out how it had a jake break and air breaks along with air trailer breaks. As much as i kind of like it. I got to say i would never touch that truck. Thanks for the vid

Awesome video! 👍👌 Firstly, that Corvette did NOT deserve that 4x4 lift, I can already imagine the amount of pain that that car has went through, and I'm an avid Corvette lover, heck I even have a Corvette wall calender on my wall lol, but who would do such a vile thing, I know who! Peyote Jim - Bob that's who! But the mail truck Jeep is cool though, that thing is actually really cool as a matter of fact, it would make a great show car, the " Gone Postal " decals are genius in my opinion, the 10 - wheeler dually is unique in its own way, and in my opinion would be worth a look if you are into weird oddity vehicles, the 1981 Trans Am was taken too far, that is too iconic of a car to have that done to it, anyways that's my two cents for some of these weird rides, Thanks for the great video, I might try to make my next comment a little bit shorter, depending on what cars are in your next video, because as you can tell I don't mind voicing my opinion lol 🤣

Hi there. I still love your videos mate. I will admit I love Corvettes and my favourite is the 1959 Corvette, but what they did to that poor Corvette was just wrong. The 76 one ton truck with what ever it is on the backend. Quite frankly, if I was following behind him, I would think it was a toilet seat cover because that’s what it looks like. Then you’ve got the Volvo 444. You said what kind of hell of mad Max is this? I think it’s more like Med Cletus. Some of those cars are just wrong in so many ways. As you always say some people should just not be allowed anywhere near a saw saw. In fact, I think they shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a car at all. Please keep up the great work that you do because I really enjoy them and you do them so well. Take care of yourself and blessings to you and your family from England.
