I honestly don't get this narrative some ppl have about witcher 3's combat being weak. Once you understand the different builds, it completely changes the way you approach combat. Also, I'm kind of tired of games being souls like. Not every game has to be infuriatingly challenging. Just my 2 cents.
Kingdom come deliverance!!! An absolute sleeper...this game is a medieval simulator so you have to go in to it with that mindset to enjoy it. Youre not some super badass hero who can press one button to kill everything in front of you. You start as a peasant...i love it. Deepest RPG ive ever played.
I want to love this game. I just could NOT get used to the combat. Even after watching videos and practicing for hours, I was getting killed by nobodies just walking past and I ended up getting too frustrated and turning it off. I probably had 30 hours into it. I may go back someday but I just can't get into that sword fighting. It is just too weird and doesn't feel fun to me. I just end up getting mad. Its a game that it seems like I would LOVE but can't get past the combat.
Fun fact, games don't have to be so difficult that you rage quit 10 minutes or less after starting. Not everyone is upset when a game doesn't murder you at every turn.
YES!!! I agree. I LOVE games and Elder Ring was amazing but only because I found a way to cheat and jump off a cliff with my horse and keep swinging and it leveled me up to OP. Then I had fun! If I keep dying 100 times, I will just get SO angry and quit. That isn't fun to me. I'd rather be a little hard, but not feel impossible. That is why I gave up on Sekiro, Never played Lords of the Fallen, I quit Kingcome Come Deliverance. The combat was just too HARD. I was not enjoying myself. The other parts of the game felt amazing but when I can't beat a simple bandit after practicing for hours and hours, I raged and quit and deleted the game and never went back..LOL
I wish I could have that feeling of playing TW3 again for the first time. The combat was fucking awesome, just not the hack and slash people want...it's a patient kind of combat and picking your spots and using sign builds. Combat was awesome.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (the longest in the entire series), Horizon: Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, and the last two Legend of Zelda games are just some of the more recent immersive single-player games with at least 100 hours of content, story, side missions/quests, combat, customization, etc. that I would add to this list. A few older games that I can think of off top are Sleeping Dogs, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Ninja investors isn't "wrong", he/she just has a different opinion to you. Zero dawn was amazing, but I found forbidden west boring and abandoned it after about 15 hours. Ghost of tsushima was incredibly boring and also abandoned about 10 hours in.
Can't go past the Assassins Creed franchise...Odyssey, Valhalla, Origins, Syndicate etc. Elden Ring of course. Dying Light, RD2, Lords of the Fallen, Fallout 3+4 etc.
I have all of these games aside from Fallout New Vegas! I’m also waiting for my deluxe edition of BGIII to come in next week! Definitely won’t be needing to get anything else at least for this year 🔥 great video!

Great video! Two games that I have yet to play to completion are Baldurs Gate 3, and Sekiro. Sekiro, I just got too frustrated. I just couldn't get the timing down and kept dying over and over. So I ended up giving up. I may have to go back and try it again. BG3, I am just not a fan of top down games... But everyone seems to LOVE this game.

I platinumed cyberpunk on a ps4 pro a couple of years ago. A couple of months ago I finally got a ps5 and bought a 65inch 4k tv and thought what the hell let's play cyberpunk again to see how it looks now. Holy moly it was glorious. I platinumed it all over again then did phantom liberty and sat there slack jawed Watchung lizzy wizzy do her stage performance thinking yeah thats why they didn't release this on ps4, it would explode.
Can someone tell me why Baldurs Gate 3 is so highly regarded. I just find the top down, turn based puzzle like combat not fun. I have tried it twice to play it because so many people love it and both times, I would start playing a game like Assassins Creed, or Spider Man, and when I went back to Baldurs gate, the combat just seemed boring. I'm not a fan of puzzles, so the turn based just isn't fun to me. Does that makes sense?
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring in addition to its expansion Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree are must-plays! Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 are also must-plays.
Skyrim is so far past its sell by date it needs to be cut loose. I was way late to the party and played it for the first time about 2 years ago and it was so dated in both looks and gameplay that I couldn't play for more than 10 hours. I found nothing interesting about it, and the combat is utterly abysmal.

I can tell this guy has never actually played The Witcher 3. The game has so many combat options. The upgrade menu is enormous and the amount of gear to choose from seems endless.
Every single video like this always talks about Skyrim and Witcher 3, which everyone and their grandma already played. Single player games are VAST. How about mentioning Crusader Kings 3 or Kenshi or Total War series? Maybe highlight some underrated titles like Medieval Dynasty or The Guild 2 & 3?

Witcher 3 combat would be a lot better with more counters or ways to avoid damage because the non stop dodging especially with pack enemies really ruins the immersion.
I don’t think most people would really be into sinking 100+ hours into the older AC games. They are good for what they are but after the initial story, there’s not much reason to continue playing for most.
I can't get into it. The top down turn based combat feels more like a puzzle than fun. I have tried 3 times to play it and I just couldn't get into it. I wish I could more than anything. From what people say, the story is truly awesome. I have played probably 20 hours and both times I never get excited to play it. I always end up playing something else on the side and then slowly just stop playing.
Completely disagree with your Witcher 3 combat review.. Combat is engaging and quite tough at times, theres loads of possibilities, techniques and tactics as well as using the Witcher signs.. which you never mentioned apart from hypnotising cats?? What??? .. just because you only have 2 swords and 6 witcher signs instead of dozens of pointless skill trees.. doesnt make it bad, it just makes it more skillful to truely master..
Witcher 3 boring combat depend on the build. Going for hard attack with Rend felt like a witcher as I build meter to go for the critical hit to end the enemy.
Ghost is pretty linear and can get boring after a while. And it's too easy. Even on highest difficulty once you get ghost stance, the game plays itself
I love a good semi linear story with nice gaming machanics; but witcher three wasnt keeping me engaged. I felt like the combat was a bit too complicated and a bit roo slow when using the sword. This shouldnt be the case when just starting the game, but you clearly are the wealest think on the map for a good 4-5 hours of this game. I cpuldnt get into the story because pf the among machanics and that sucked.
For me the longest best solo game that i ever played, Dark Souls 1 & 2 now elden ring, Mass effect trilogy, dragon age origins, fallout new vegas, Kingdom Amalur reckoning, Darksider 1 & 2, Prey, Dying Light 2, Divinity 2 Dragon Knight Saga, Divinity original sin. I stop playing Skyrim and Witcher, because of shitty combat mechanic. It's hard to satify you mentally after you get addictive by Souls combat mechanic. Cyberpunk is so so so. 100 hours already. 😂 great concept, some story but weak combat, too much performance issue.

Got my Deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 (the physical copy) on PS5 about 3+ weeks ago. Loved it, you won’t be disappointed.
I love HADES,.. so much that i have on 3 different platforms; Steam/PC, PS5 and more recently iOS and play on all 3 equally! It is so good 😊

For me Monster Hunter (played it from the first game to the newest), Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro, Elden Ring, Zelda Totk, and Nioh.

100 hour is not a lot at all. I don't have a lot of game but I've spent thousands hours in each
It's like 4 days straight, that's a good amount of time. I have a big game library and probably 100 hrs in probably 15 at least
