One thing I love about reading on my ipad pro over my kindle is the dictionary/translation feature. I am learning a second language and you can install that language as a dictionary on your ios device then I can highlight any word on the ipad and look it up quickly to see the translation.
I recently bought an iPad mini, it’s perfect for reading. I used to read on my 12,9 as well and the weight is kinda disturbing with time. But reading and taking notes at the same time is really cool on 12,9 iPad Pro
You are, in fact, going to be waiting. A very, very long time. There's a not insignificant chance Apple may stop making iPad mini's entirely. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I am almost certainly right. In any case, Apple hasn't even put 90Hz on other iPad's 7 years after 120Hz debuted on the 2017 iPad Pro's, and probably won't have moved on from 60Hz on non-Pro iPad's 10 years on. Let alone putting OLED on any of them, since that's their newest baby on the iPad Pro.
@@TRTUFC Idk what that issue is but if it's related to response times, then off course it will. But so will any other higher quality display in general. The older IPS edge lit LED displays such as the one on the Mini have very poor response times.
I’ve found that using the Kobo app on my iPad, I can do all of the annotating I want, right on the book pages. It’s awesome. I love reading on my iPad mini. Looking I forward to the updates Apple will hopefully be releasing on the Mini.
Glad I can watch your iPad Pro M4 13-inch review video because I love the 13-inch over the 11-inch, literally almost 2/3 of every other RUclipsrs are reviewing 11-inch and it's ridiculous finding videos that have 13-inch models
Thanks Faiz. I bought and ipad mini for reading, i want a kindle that dimension and also to be colour. Also love the view in your neighbourhood, what state in the USA is there?
Thanks for the information you shared with your video! To read on my iPad Mini I usually tweak the White Point in Accessibility Settings, to reduce at least to 80%. This makes the white letters on black background less shiny on the iPad Mini, something that bothers my eyes. Can you check the same setting on the iPad Pro M4 and describe the experience?
Thank you, I read for 5-7 hours a day and love my 5th gen iPad Pro 12.9, but now I have to see about trading it in--sigh you’ve costing me money I’m afraid.
Plethora of apps? Is there really an excess of apps? And overabundance? Or did you mean myriad of apps. I'll assume you meant the latter and just misspoke. 1:30
I'm sure he means it in terms of what he is talking about and comparing with. Compared to the kindle/ e reader. There is many many different apps, not just including reading.
@@Everyday-manSo you agree, he likely meant a myriad, an abundance, or a multitude of apps. He likely did not mean excessive apps or an overabundance, based on his description after mis-using "plethora".
@Burps___ you're a strange person. Enjoy life. The wording isn't hard to interpret what he was saying, nor is it even important. It was one word, "Plethora of apps" not hard in the context of the video to understand what he ment.
@@Everyday-man He uses “plethora” often in videos incorrectly and is well-read so it’s fine to teach him. It’s you that is making it strange with your persistence on justifying the error. Hahaha
Thank you for the video. This is what I was looking for. It’s not making you more tired after long reading sessions compared to previous screen technology?
How are you getting page turn animation in the middle of the screen like a real paperback? Is that the kindle app? Mine does a full page turn animation starting from the left of the screen even though i have two columns and it drives me nuts.
Hello Faiz 😊 one question when reading on black background and eye care on and very low brightness do you experience smearing like the white text flickers and turns to red until you stop scrolling?
Also android has these features too. One thing about the Dark Theme that i like is that it reduces strain to the eyes instesd of white lite having to adjust straining your eyes making them hurt.
the only issue i see is that when reading books, i tend to read it from my eye level, so it can be a bit too heavy to hold it for extended period of time. looking down for a long period of time is bad for your neck
Hmm wearing glasses already that have have inbuilt glare reducing technology. You're not a good baseline for those concerned about screen glare, but great video.

The mini is definitely perfect - can’t wait for it to get OLED!
I can’t wait till there’s an OLED iPad mini
Will an OLED panel be able to fix the jelly scroll issue on iPad Mini?
U mean a pro max!

An OLED mini would be amazing
iPad Pro + blue light blocking glasses suffice to outweigh e-ink display benefits

Can I know who in general uses the iPad for other than editing videos, music and drawing?

I suppose the reading experience will be even better on the matt version.
That’s correct 👍🏼
What about college textbooks, which tablet is best?
The 13” iPad Air & 13” Pro are best tablets

Glad it was helpful! Nope it doesn’t make me tired. I don’t read for more than 30-40 mins on my iPad in a single sitting
These options are not allowed in M1 ipad book apo...( Black background)
Where I can get that?
How are you getting page turn animation in the middle of the screen like a real paperback? Is that the kindle app? Mine does a full page turn animation starting from the left of the screen even though i have two columns and it drives me nuts.
Yes I hate that too, it’s ugly
Nice iPad content Faiz!
How can you turn pdf to a black background?
Enjoyed this video!
My 15 Pro Max completely replaced my Ipad as my main reading device for ebooks.
Do you read comics or manga on your 15 Pro Max? If so, how is the experience? Also, any issues with PWM on the 15 Pro Max OLED?

Do you need a actual kindle to buy books
Nope! Can read on app, kindle or even web.
I prefer reading on the 11" M4 tbh. Feels more like a book to me.
Do you read more in portrait or landscape mode on the 11"?
How can Samsung did it on their tablets where its a gorgeous oled screen yet also not reflective at the same time, its so good
any flickering?
No flickering at all!
Reading with black background f**ks up my eyes

11 inch oled -sweet spot…thanks
Which should i buy 11 or 13 inch?
11
It must be heavy for your arms after a while.
Reading… & hurting your eyes with blue light oled panels…
Ok Yanni.
