Your other reaction series are already a ton of fun, but when you react to a story that's a new angle on something that's already in your wheelhouse, that elevates it. It places the reactor and the show into a dialogue with each other, each informing how the viewer perceives show and reactor alike. I love hearing your comparisons as well! Season 6 is coming in October and, as a manga reader, people’s minds will be blown away with what will happen. I will list a few things as sort of a starter pack for My Hero. 1: Horikoshi, the creator and author of My Hero, is a huge fan of western comics. He is especially influenced by Spiderman. He also loves Star Wars and you will often see the places and locations in the show are named after certain planets in Star Wars. 2: Just a fun fact relating to western comics. All Might has actually made an appearance in Marvel Comics. He was in a Deadpool comic. Deadpool was supposed to contact someone, but accidentally contacted All Might instead. 3: It is not out right said in the anime, but All Might went to college in America, California specifically, and loved America so much that he named his moves after certain states and cities. 4: The characters will typically have 3 names. Their first name, last name, and hero name. I just bring this up because a lot of reactors always have a hard time on deciding what to call them. Just pick the one that feels most comfortable for you. 5: Playing off of the name info, Bakugo also has another name. Izuku calls him Kacchan. The first part is comprised of the first two letters of his first name. Chan is an honorific that is usually meant for young children or girls. Since Bakugo and Izuku have known each other since childhood, Izuku just continues to call him by his nickname. Speaking of nicknames, Deku is an insult/nickname that Bakugo calls him. If I remember correctly from other comments Deku means wooden doll, which is essentially useless. Since Izuku does not have a quirk and is “useless” in Bakugo’s eyes, he calls him Deku. 6: There are also 3 movies for this series. It’s up to you if you want to react to them, but they are really good and personally I think worth the watch. There is still so much to say, but I’ll leave it at that. I hope you can continue this series. It really is a fun ride.
My Hero Academia is really good. I am not a part of the weird fanbase but I love anyone who appreciated my hero academia. I enjoy the dub here more than the sub. The all might scene that little midoriya was watching is an actual footage of all might saving people and that scene inspired midoriya very much.
They cover this more in detail later in the series, and I think you mostly worked it out for yourself anyway, but just because 80% of the population has a superpower doesn't mean there's that many superheroes. Hero work takes specific training and licenses, so not just anyone can engage with villains except in self-defense cases.
Since you like underdog story's, I think you will absolutely love Black Clover, the anime was weekly running through the entire time it aired (170 episodes) so its all put in one season, so I recommend to watch the first 10 or 12 episodes before deciding if you want to keep going or not, anyways have a good day!
Ahh ALL Might I still remember that time he fought Thanos and I'm not making this up XD He appears in a Marvel comic but I don't remember the name. But now about this series, if you like Super Heroes you will love this series, the world building is amazing and the development is even better. The consequences of events during the series for the world and characters are very well thought out.

I am a huge fan of the MHA english dub. Sadly most reactions are on the subbed anime (which is still good, but I was raised on the dubbed version, so I just prefer it more.) I realize you like to ramble over the video (which is fine, it's your reaction so do what feels best for you). However, I feel like MHA is one of those shows where it's important to pay attention to the nuances of the characters and the dialogue and the emotions that are conveyed (Honestly, I've watched MHA dozens of times and I still cry when I do).
Who the heck said we are tough? XD I've only seen everyone be friendly and supportive unless I'm living under a rock XD You will love this series, though. It is a rollercoaster of emotions, so buckle in for the ride. Also, each season just gets better and better I promise

Yo anime dad check out the manga. The quality of the anime goes down but the manga never, each chapter has spectacular artwork and the manga moments hit better than in the anime. Also the anime unfortunately censors and entirely skips some parts of the manga.

If you ever have a spare moment and want to see a different take on the superhero genre than there's a show called Inuyashiki. It's not the most popular anime and I guess it's more science fiction than superhero but it has the same flavour as that of superhero show. Basic premise is 2 people get involved in a spaceship accident. Aliens fix them up with advanced gear. The story follows each one deciding how to use their new found powers.
i liked the reaction but i think subbed would ahve been better for how much you want to talk over the show because you might miss stuff. not me hating just saying it might be easier to catch information
(NO spoilers here: you know you can trust me Bruce ;) ) Sooo MHA, yeah. I've seen all seasons of this one so far and I'm also catched up to the manga. It's a little bit of a mixed experience. As you have seen, it goes for a more juvenile style. It's almost the "ideal" shonen, with all the good and bad stuff that implies. These first 2 episodes are AWESOME tho. They are like a small-story on themselves. Hell, some people cry at the end of the 2nd one, and I can understand them. There are some really good things in this anime: the humor, characters, their bonds, some aspects of the quirks as well as the world-building around them, etc. Most of my problems come from the adaptation itself: the first 3 seasons are really good actually, but then, they dropped the ball (and I don't think they are picking it up for now). Thing is, animation quality went waaaay down in S4, and the pacing itself got really damaged because of that. I even started disliking the show, and s5 only made it worse. But then? I got tired and went ahead to read the manga, and love for MHA came back. In retrospective, I would recommned to my past-self to just "see" the show up to S3, and then read the manga, but please feel free to do as you prefer :) I guess that's it for now. Can't wait so see your reaction to some moments! Whatever happens, I hope you enjoy the show :D
