Jesus displayed a major interest in the Sabbath. He intentionally made people's lives better on the Sabbath and purposefully entered into controversy with the Pharisees about the Sabbath.
The Sabbath is all about Jesus.
Jesus is all about people.
Knowing this stretches us beyond our "right day versus wrong day" debates to more fully grasp the beauty of the rest Jesus invites us to experience on the seventh-day Sabbath.
