silver is used (imo) because it is historically considered to be a "magic" or maybe "holy" metal; as such silver weapons neutralize or possibly bypass the werewolve's "fast healing" ability. possibly the proper term for werewolves would be that they are not "weak" against silver, but that they are "sensitive" to silver (both pluses and minuses)
I've watched Underworld many times and wondered: If the lycans have an increase in stamina in their human form, why couldn't it be the same in Skyrim. Thank the Nine that someone else thought of this as well.
I really enjoy Blood Moon Rising's werewolf "aging" system-- made me feel as if my character was really progressing through their lycanthropy and earning their place at the top of the food chain.
Ok WC3 Dota/Dota 2 i specificaly made that perk as an easter egg in BR. And yes i figured it was a joke :P. Still IceFrog made that skill as an easter egg to Pokemon. So its an easter egg of an easter egg...lots of easter eggs lol
There will be a third video on Werewolves, as I warned in part 1. I left werewolves out in the cold when I was playing a vampire, so I feel I owe them :)
Finally got back into Skyrim and enhancing the game via these mods. Thank you for sharing with us these awesome mods (including some of the previous ones). You are very good at explaining everything in great detail. :D
I must say, thank you for showing use these mods. im playing through as a werewolf right now and the werewolf mastery mod sounds like something i would love.
11:06 onward; You, my good sir, made me crack my skull open due to me bashing my face on my desk from repeated happiness freakouts. I am serious, you have just given me something to work my next paycheck towards.
The silver rings for mod customisation etc. makes sense - in terms of werewolf lore regarding silver, I surmise that small amounts (such as a silver ring, in this instance) could be employed as a "control device" rather than as an item that would be detrimental to the subject werewolfs health. Something like a "silver overhaul" mod for Skyrim with effects such as werewolves or vampires being unable to use or forge certain silver items (such as weapons / armour made with silver content) due to their "allergies" would be cool. Or perhaps make them unable to carry silver items, or make silver items weigh twice as much, and damage stamina regen while in the players inventory...
Actually it is not my first playthrough as a werewolf, but it is the first since the Dawnguard perk tree, and also my first modded werewolf playthrough.
My opinion is Bloodmoon rising, it makes me happy, and I just like the fact one claw can take out enemies in an arch. It just completes the werewolf experience even more for me
like how your channel is about immersion big fan been slowly making a list of mods to add in prep for my build which will be finished in a month the list now goes on! Bigups Gophervids
I've always used the werewolf mostly only for the 100% resistance to diseases and the odd romp through the country side, but Werewolf Mastery is about to change this :) Thx Gopher, and great job as always!
You mean tell you what YOU should think? Personal taste is exactly that. Personal. If I have to tell you what your taste is, then it is not personal :)
THANK YOU!!! I was thinking last night how werewolves' perks are ridiculous, and I though they should have bonus armor/HP(more than 100 -.-), regen, magic resistance etc. Love it! Beast nautre, Full moon and armor ignore, VERY NICE :)
It can be used as such, but it all depends on what settings you are using and the way you play. For example werewolves do not scale well in the vanilla game so if you are playing with Deadly Dragons, SkyRe etc and want to play a werewolf a lot, it gets very difficult indeed. But if you are playing on low difficulty perhaps the only options you would need are the ones to switch roars and revert to human form etc.
Without a doubt THE BEST MODS I'VE EVER SEEN since werewolves are something Bethesda didn't really focus on obviously they were more focused on vampires. So the fact that i don't have to constantly be looking for life to feed on only to prolong my limited werewolf experience brings a perfect balance! Also i was wondering if this mod would be available on console with the skyrim remastered edition?
I always thought of it as that werewolves have way more brute strength, and are a lot tougher, but that vampires have magical/demonic powers that give them other types of abilities like psychological interference, flight, and of course the fact that a vampire can live on indefinitely if great care is taken on the sun and feeding.
Moshthun both are right even Skyrim says it that vampires are more mages even as vampire lord form so no wonder they cant handle in melee combat a werewolf
After trying out a lot of those werewolf mods, I gotta admit that only "Heart of the beast" (textures and sounds) and "werewolf perks expanded" worked fluently together on my system. As I play with over 200 mods active, "Tales of Lycanthropy" and the Werbear/Werewolfoverhaul "Moonlight Tales" seriously screwed up my savegame. I can only warn you to not use ToL anymore. However, with the new textures and sounds and the pimped perktree, its a lot of fun playing as werewolf though!
And why not? There are a number of good werewolf mods out there and he can cover as many of them as he likes. Thanks to these last 2 videos, I'm seriously considering giving werewolf another try.
I'd like to combine these mods so you earn these bonuses and give explanations like the "word" is your blood of dovah or your ability of dovahkiin to add words to your howl, or using your knowledge of magic to upgrade your armor into your hide so you get shades of glass, fur, daedric and so on on your skin as a werewolf after you have mastered your Ability as a werewolf. Also capes can be added as an extended mane on your back based on color and your hair could be interwoven into your beast based on length and color as well. As you tame and master the beast within, you should be able to access abilities in human form and further hone your abilities in beast form, even being able to talk and loot (with looting being apart of melding armor into your beast form, creating a pocket to put your stuff in.)
Geez, ease it down a notch! Skyrim is a role playing game, and one that gives the player more control on how to play, develop their character and interact with the world than most games. If his focus is on making the realistic elements of the game as realistic as possible then this is absolutely fine. The way he put it may not have been the most elegant one, since it sounded a bit hostile, but you definitely topped him there.
There's actually THREE totem perks added: the third one edits the Totem of Brotherhood more. It's called Call of the Alpha and it enhances pack members AND normal followers.
I just recently started a new playthrough like a ranger/ hunter guy. I'm gonna go werewolf because I have set a challenge for myself by only using steel weapons throughout my entire playthrough and a hunting bow. So im gonna be using werewolf alot. Thanks for the vid gopher!
great set of mods my favorite werewolf mods are Werewolf Mastery, Heart of the Beast, Predator Vision, and Enhanced Camera. tempted to try tol or mt but have not tried them yet. you have not truly experienced the power of the werewolf till you sprint full speed with Enhanced Camera.
Depends what you mean by high level. I only started using the Skyrim Uncapper on my latest playthrough, but I have five characters over level 50, the highest of which I believe is level 58. I am expecting Richard to get much higher than that though because of the uncapper.
Project Reality: Climates of Tamriel is my top mod selection overall of any mod. Highly customizable, and beautiful renderings make the visuals absolutely stunning, IMO. My system is not top end, and this mod plays very well with other selections, too. And I also recommend the GeForce Tweak Guide for Skyrim in aiding performance from various settings.
Yes, its a problem. I asked several persons for sneaking animations for werewolves so I can implement sneaking but so far no luck. For now the only option for you is to download Nature of the beast 2 - and pick green bane with camouflage ability.
I prefer Werewolf Perks Expanded, myself. The reason I would have preferred Bloodmoon Rising before was because of the Fury Swipes perk, but now WPE has since updated and has the exact same perk in its tree. Therefore, I'mma go with WPE so I can get the cool enhanced Totem roars.
This also looks like a very good werewolf overhaul, you can also turn into a werebear and some kind of werelizard. Also, it adds smell tracking, the ability to become an alpha werewolf and command your own pack of wolves etc. Skyrim nexus mods: mods/20721
Gopher, a mod you'll probably HAVE to try, seeing how many people anticipated it. Magic Duel: Reborn. It's just out, but it had been anounced for a couple of months...
this guy is really good at what he does so good at explaining the mods and UNLIKE other mod reviewers he actually shows you how to install it haha you have my subscribe and likes frend
Gopher, the author of Tales of Lycanthropy is working on his next mod Moonlight Tales, which will be quite comprehensive. I'd advise you should cover it, it might be the biggest beast mod yet.
The silver ring thing isn't all that odd. In a lot of werewolf lore silver rings are used to control or suppress the werewolf aspect. So mods using it to control the settings is actually fitting.
You should take a look at the mod called "Extra Werewolf Perks". It basically does what Bloodmoon Rising + Werewolf Mastery do plus some really interesting perks :)
I think it would have been cool if Bethesda made it so depending on what perks you picked for your vampire or werewolf, it changed the aperance, like if you filled up everything for the vampire lord you could get the crown and cape like harkon had...or if you picked certain perks first for the werewolf your fur would change colors
Actually based on most mythos, werewolves will keep an object made of silver near them at almost all times. It will seem almost sentimental to them. The reasons vary, but the most famous is to keep something around so they can kill themselves.
Gopher, agreed, one can never have enough health and stamina. However, please remember as well: "You can never have enough hats gloves and shoes." (Patsy Stone) ^^
At approximately 9:55 you said that "That is going to beg the question 'Which one is best?'." It doesn't beg the question, Mr. Gopher; It raises the question. Begging the question is a logical fallacy. Otherwise, great job!
this was rather enlightening, made me want to try my hand at werewolf play, however I am vampire lord in my skyrim and would love to see something this well made for vampire lord like vampire lord mastery or something.
dirty edits are not really a problem if you use BOSS it gives you the step by step cleaning which is rather simple because in fact many mods have dirty edits, this is why BOSS is recommended by most, however sometimes cleaning a mod is not necessary in very few rare occasions as it doesn't cause CTD but instead removes items from the mod or functions but you have to play with that on your own to see what you prefer stable game vs content which again is a rare occurrence.
I like that werewolf customization mod. ALOT. I just wish there was one like that for Vampire Lords. I'm tired of not being able to access my inventory as a Vampire Lord when I can do so as a Werewolf with the right mods.
Playing again after about a year and still have no idea how you changed your skill tree visuals. The green light is so awesome looking. If anyone can help (unless it's been deleted or just completely out of date) it would be a great help!
Actually with SkyRe the loot tables are modified: I see silver weapons all the time now. (Disclaimer - not sure if it's SlyRe exactly but I don't have many other mods that effect loot tables.)
i have skyrim on xbox too, however i think when skywind is finished, i shall buy it and all the dlcs as, i think, skywind gives you skyrims graphics for morrowind.
i think thesse mods are clossest you can get to that. Lizardman - Werewolf Replacer Werepanther - Werewolf Replacer there on the steam workshop, but you shoudt note that the replace the werewolf no matter what race you play.

Different lore, different abilities.
*****
Sshhhhhh.... xP
The more I see werewolves of skyrim the more I love them.It makes me wanna draw them and watch movies about them and even more.
I really enjoy Blood Moon Rising's werewolf "aging" system-- made me feel as if my character was really progressing through their lycanthropy and earning their place at the top of the food chain.
Late to the party, but yes exactly. Wholeheartedly agree.
Bless the modding community!
Werewolf Expanded: Power and single target focus.
Bloodmoon rising: Agility and Multi target focus.
Fury swipes huh? Now we can become a pokemon in skyrim. :P
Its accually Dota 2 skill for Ursa Warrior...
Metalmudo
Pokemon existed way before dota 2 dude.
Besides I was making a joke/
Ok WC3 Dota/Dota 2 i specificaly made that perk as an easter egg in BR.
And yes i figured it was a joke :P.
Still IceFrog made that skill as an easter egg to Pokemon. So its an easter egg of an easter egg...lots of easter eggs lol
feral rage straight out of diablo 2
11:24 Dovahkin your doing it wrong....
I REALLY like how you've added buttons to skip to other points in the video. Thank you.
There will be a third video on Werewolves, as I warned in part 1. I left werewolves out in the cold when I was playing a vampire, so I feel I owe them :)

That werewolf perk expansion was genius, that was an amazing mod

A great selection of mods as usual Gopher. Personally, I think I would select Werewolf Perks Expanded - Dawnguard as my mod of choice.
Actually it is not my first playthrough as a werewolf, but it is the first since the Dawnguard perk tree, and also my first modded werewolf playthrough.
WEREWOLVES RULES!!!
+123kujer I could say the same about you
123kujer ughhh 6 year old jokes....
Thank you for another great Skyrim Mod Sanctuary, Gopher! Looking forward to the next one!
Great set of videos! I really enjoyed watching. Thanks!
Just a note... it's not strange to use silver. Silver is associate with the moon.
I always thought that to. I think the people in the past with their tales of silver are base off of ignorance.
I've always used the werewolf mostly only for the 100% resistance to diseases and the odd romp through the country side, but Werewolf Mastery is about to change this :) Thx Gopher, and great job as always!
I'd love to see some more house mods. I love your 'realtor's tour' style of looking at them.
So many useful stuff for a Werewolf lover like myself :D Thanks for the Mod Tips, Gopher! ^_^
Great videos again, these really made want to play Skyrim again and use werewolf more than previously :)
I like how just as he says "masochistic impulse", his character is holding a red hot piece of metal in his hand, on the smithing screen.
When Richard was at the forge for the ring he was hitting the anvil with a hammer and carrying a blazing hot metal bar surprisingly dangerously.
Search for 'hag capisco' or 'håg capisco' if you have that character.
I am way more comfortable sitting at my PC than on my sofa :)
omg... just noticed the morrowind music at 17:58
Dragonborn man, nostalgic trip is wondrous
It plays usually when exploring solsteim *The Island from the Morrowind DLC: Bloodmoon and Skyrim: Dragonborn
It can be used as such, but it all depends on what settings you are using and the way you play. For example werewolves do not scale well in the vanilla game so if you are playing with Deadly Dragons, SkyRe etc and want to play a werewolf a lot, it gets very difficult indeed.

these videos are awesome, very informative, helpful, entertaining, great presentation. keep 'em coming :)

Werewolves are stronger than vampires hands down
I always thought of it as that werewolves have way more brute strength, and are a lot tougher, but that vampires have magical/demonic powers that give them other types of abilities like psychological interference, flight, and of course the fact that a vampire can live on indefinitely if great care is taken on the sun and feeding.
Moshthun both are right even Skyrim says it that vampires are more mages even as vampire lord form so no wonder they cant handle in melee combat a werewolf
Moshthun yeah i see vampire as a demonic mage and werewolf as an animal beast
I prefer Werewolves. Vampires are essentially super-powered mages and that's not really my playstyle.
I had no trouble running them both.
After trying out a lot of those werewolf mods, I gotta admit that only "Heart of the beast" (textures and sounds) and "werewolf perks expanded" worked fluently together on my system. with Werewolf Mastery and enable loot inventory , you can use any shout while in werewolf form cool !

You can either earn them normally by feeding or if you're asking for the console code it is:
set dlc1werewolfpoints to [number]
The perk that makes wolves respect you would be perfect for the immersion of the LP
I typically don't like or care about mods (console player, hate the keyboard and mouse) but these videos interest me mainly because of you.
Thanks for the vid, Gopher. My next character is going to be a werewolf. I was looking for some stuff to spice up the experience.
This is great. The ring one is the best, now we can transform how long we want not just vampire lords :D

Wolves have excellent noses, and I do think they would feel the scent of werewolf on you while you're in human form, when regular guards can smell it.
Skill Interface Retexture. Really great mod with lots of customization.
these mods are awesome and it made my gauch better thanks for making a Sanctuary for these mod you are awesome.
Nice editing Gopher
Gopher, a mod you'll probably HAVE to try, seeing how many people anticipated it. Magic Duel: Reborn. It's just out, but it had been anounced for a couple of months...

Bloodmoon Rising is my favorite werewolf mod.
Your videos are so helpful gopher thank you.
Yes they do. Gopher even uses the Steam version himself.
If you have these mods in game, you can hear the guards say: Damn these werewolves they've become OP!
Gopher, the author of Tales of Lycanthropy is working on his next mod Moonlight Tales, which will be quite comprehensive. I'd advise you should cover it, it might be the biggest beast mod yet.
Yes well its all well and good but we understand what you mean and it draws out the video without need.
The silver ring thing isn't all that odd. In a lot of werewolf lore silver rings are used to control or suppress the werewolf aspect. So mods using it to control the settings is actually fitting.
Gotta love these werewolf mods...especially because I don't like Vampires that much and werewolf is just so..badass
You know what would be great, Gopher? A questline that rewards you with all friendly or neutral NPCs no longer attacking you in werewolf form.
Keep those episodes going:-)
Categorized Fav Menu Mod- CFM Alchemist addition
You should take a look at the mod called "Extra Werewolf Perks". It basically does what Bloodmoon Rising + Werewolf Mastery do plus some really interesting perks :)
Richard has an interesting blacksmithing style.
Werewolf mastery sounds pretty op if you think about it.

Moonlight tales is the best werewolf mod, gopher uses it in his ch3 let's play, it's great
Gopher, agreed, one can never have enough health and stamina. However, please remember as well: "You can never have enough hats gloves and shoes." (Patsy Stone) ^^
Great video : )

i suddenly get the urge to start playing skyrim again as a werewolf
I like that werewolf customization mod. ALOT. I just wish there was one like that for Vampire Lords. I'm tired of not being able to access my inventory as a Vampire Lord when I can do so as a Werewolf with the right mods.
Your voice is amazing.
Yay! New video!

Im glad Bethesda is working on getting Mods on the Xbox Live Marketplace. I hope they succeed.
You can get the game from steam workshop and download mods off the Nexus site, yes.
i think thesse mods are clossest you can get to that.
Lizardman - Werewolf Replacer
Werepanther - Werewolf Replacer
there on the steam workshop, but you shoudt note that the replace the werewolf no matter what race you play.
Thanks for your idea to download the mode
