In case anyone is reading this, Moonlight Tales is the new version of Tales of Lycanthropy and combines Heart of the Beast into it. Get Moonlight Tales, don't bother with either of these separately.

In Moonlight Tales, the modder suggests HotB, in order to get the sounds.
I didn't use werebears at all so I have no idea, sorry. Hopefully Night knows.

Well I agree but if you think about it. The game Developers don't want to spend so much time on the werewolves because there's a lot to do before the game came out.
venom 2018 thats not an acceptable excuse if a modder can do it better without the same resources as a triple a game company they messed up

***** Actually Teen wolf uses the last gorilla part of the sound in the show, that's how I found out about it and used it in the Alpha roar
I'm aware of that part, I was just trying to explain that that the entire road wasn't just ripped from the show. Kind of like how in some shows with a T-Rex, it may let out a jurassic park-esque roar, yet you can tell it's not the exact same sound. The only parts of your alpha roar and the teen wolf that I can make out to be similar are the end parts, the gorilla, which to me, would classify them as two different sounds. I was tired when I made that comment and really didn't explain any further.
***** True, anyway I did draw some inspiration from Teen wolf, at least for the Alpha sounds and textures, but the mod itself was created long before the teen wolf series even aired
The English pronounce 'z' as Zed too. Also, I pronounce lycanthopy correctly as far as I am aware :)

I want werewolf options to: a) Hump Giants Legs, b) Chase Carriages, c) Pee on Carriage Wheels and Lamp Posts, d) Poop on Doorsteps, e) Roll around on Undead Bodies and f) Raid Market Stalls and Trash Cans. Roleplaying at its finest!

Someone should make an alternate quest line for a werewolf
Rewatching this 9 years later I thought I’d mention that I think a modified version of the teen wolf/alpha werewolf roar is used in resident evil village. Or at least I thought I heard it a few times in some play throughs. I’m also having this video on in the background while I perfect my own werewolf designs for my world-building endeavors.

Why did I never see the killing animation from 4:02? How do you trigger that, or is it a mod?
It is part of the game but it is just kind of rare to get.
to perform this killmove you need to press left and right attack cursor at the same time when the opponent's health is low
it helps if you do a power attack to finish them off
it has to be a right hand power attack or it wont trigger,
there must be a large amount of over kill damage too.
Fairly certain you also need to have the ability to decapitate people
Excellent coverage of Heart of the Beast. I've loved that mod ever since I discovered it a couple of months ago. Truly essential for lycanthropy players!
Sad thing is about Tales of Lycanthropy though, is that it instates werewolf ranks for you character that come with required looks at each stage, so you actually can't change the look of your werewolf at all if you install it. The game changes it for you as your werewolf ranks up. I was very disappointed with that.

No, these are all new textures, meshes and sound, the PS4 only allows mods that tweak ingame assets.

Yep. You can get mods for them but you wouldn't be able to play any online game with them
Yeah, you can. I remember me and three other friends all playing in a private match on COD zombies with all different kinds of mods, great fun. From what I can remember my friend paid to have his console "flashed" which enabled him to put all these mods on games like GTA4 and COD, etc
Of course you wouldn't be able to play online and stuff. I can't remember how it all works but I know that once you have a flashed console you will need your hard drive and a transfer cable so you can transfer the mods over from your PC onto your Xbox

You guys are trying to classify werewolves! You forget that their throat would be a combination of human/wolf, and since we are perfectly capable of yelling, one would assume that a werewolf could roar...
Now as to the sounds, yes - I combined sounds of big cats, wolves and big apes to give it an effect, since only those animals provide sounds that are fearsome enough, but I tried to make them as wolf-like as possible

For anyone who's looking this mod up for Skyrim SE, the sound and texture files work just fine for Special Edition.
I'm personally using Alpha Werewolf sounds and enjoying them in SE!

Gods the roar give's me chills awesome thank you Gopher, the Werewolves deserved some love not just Vampires. I also want to thank you you gave me a new idea for a character, it will be awesome to try and live with the beast within waiting to come out some awesome RP possibilities there.

Yes, he's currently doing a let's play of Skyrim and Fallout 3, both modded. He's also done Dishonored, Vampires The Masquerade: Bloodlines, Amnesia, and a different Skyrim character in the past. There are all really good.
Also, a lot of people don't know how one even sounds like, and their roar is really fearsome - a lot more then lions and tigers

you definitely did a great job on making it a good fit for a werewolf! haha sorry about the arguments over the sounds... not many people know what animals truly "roar" (it requires a special bone called the hyoid, which isn't rigid in humans), and i'm personally more used to those of the big cats as those are... fairly well known for it. i keep forgetting the others that can do it. ;)
it's pretty great, though! i might have to go check it out since i started a werewolf character recently...

The Feral Wolf howl/transformation and the Alpha howl/transformation are the 2 that sounds close enough to a werewolf, that is my opinion. I also love how they changed the color of the eyes and fur. Love werewolves such a fan!!
They are the same, people asked for the old howl to return in that version since many disliked the feral one and really liked the original

Some werewolf mods I recommend is werewolf aftermath re-equipper and werewolf mastery.

Help i have the mod heart of the beast installed like two months ago i like it, but how do you change the color of the werewolf itself. And when i installed and activated it and tried it out i already had the voice of the alpha werewolf is that normal?
This was before Moonlight Tales I guess. That one has got alternative sounds, skins, textures, forced transformations and even makes were bears playable.

I've always wanted the Werewolfs in Skyrim to look like the ones in Van Helsing, always thought they look fucking awesome.
I'm astounded that you didn't cover Derrax Male Werewolves, as that's easily one of the most impactful werewolf mods out there. It really creates a sense of immersion when playing as a werewolf, and I' consider it to be absolutely essential.
Heart of the Beast is really cool, a lot of fun chasing people threw the towns howling at them lol

Finally someone did a review on heart of the beast
Because it is the best sword in the game to be honest. Looks the best and does the most damage. At least it did back then with the mods I used.
All the roars have the original roar in them. But the others have things added to them to make them sound more ferocious.

Man it would be sooooo cool if you could contract lycanthropy directly from Hircine and through worship or devotion you can learn to gain more abilities and have a little more control over the form. And even progress from a werewolf to an omega then an alpha or forget about Hircine and become a feral werewolf then progress up to a lone werewolf that is much stronger, doesn't really rely on Hircine but with much less control the over the form itself.

You do have to do quest to be a werewolf but this is some of the different type of werewolves you can get and they are awesome and amazing! ;3
