Love the back to basic workouts!! As a "mature" life-long exerciser, as I've gotten more "mature" I find that the combo moves, especially if done at a fast pace, can lead to injuries - the back to basics work the muscles just as hard, so I prefer them!

Nothing I love more then BASIC weight training!!! It is the best!! Every time I have ever had an injury, it was because I was attempting some crazy weight combination that usually made no sense anyway so this workout is right up my alley. Basic RULES for me. Thank you, Amy. This was PERFECT!!!

Today is my one year anniversary of doing Body Fit By Amy daily challenges. ( i have been doing the videos since they began, but not on regular basis). In the last year, I have completed 98% of the challenges, missing only occasionally. I have been able to do 85% of the exercises, except what I term "crazy bonus". Some of those combinations are beyond my ability right now, but I continue to try. I have lost 40 pounds ( videos, walking and smaller portions - no dieting), and have maintained my weight loss. i have great flexiblity, great mobility, strength, endurance and significantly better core. The better core has helped to reduce my back pain considerably. I regularly show off at the senior's center (and other places) my ability to do one arm planks (which I never thought i would be able to do)😎 Today I was able to do the plank rotation in the video.Though i continue to struggle with co-ordination and balance , both have improve. Thank you Amy for all your help, and encouragement, I appreciate it.
I just love how you mix things up all the time. I do think that compound movements are more effective, and it's also nice to have a back to basics workout. Especially when it's been a minute since I've been able to get on the mat! Thanks Amy!
❤ I usually prefer combo move workouts, but I loved this one. Added to my favorites. I felt like I could really focus on the moves more, engage muscles better, and it was hard. I even went up to my 25lb dumbbells for the deadlift for the first time ever. You don’t know you can do it until you try right?! I have a tomato face after that one. LOL Thank you.

yes for back to basics! I do these workouts early in the morning and I can always face a back to basics workout. And yet my heart rate and sweat rate still get up there!! less work for the brain!
I love this format! I like repetition with a twist or an add-on. Also 30 30 30 or 40 30 20 I love either for add-ons as long as there are breaks in between 😂.
I loved going back to basics after yesterday's cardio 😂. I would like to point out that I really felt the improvement in my core after last months abs workouts😊
Great workout! I love the workouts that decrease in time because they allow me to start with my "normal" weights and then try out heavier weights that might be intimidating at longer intervals.
I absolutely love this workout Amy! I don't have a lot of upper body strength and can't lie on floor but modified where I needed. 1st time I did this workout my legs were telling me!😅😂
I was really into this back to basics. It kept my heart rate up and went by fast. I'm appreciating the difference in this month's workouts so far. Still very challenging but in a way that we haven't really done lately and it feels good. ❤
As i finished this workout, I kept saying thank you, ofc u couldn’t hear me because I was talking to a screen but I wanted to say thanks. ❤❤Soaked with sweat right now, did this workout and wasn’t expecting the incredible burn. loved this workout, and I’m dreading the burn tomorrow lol ❤😂😂❤😂😂😂

Agree!! I love Amy and all the effort she puts in for us, but I’m not a fan of the swing movement. I always do dead lifts instead, but depending on the workout that can get pretty repetitive…so I love that this one didn’t have swings!!
I love back to basics. My weights vary so much between exercises that I have to "cheat" on my move that I can go heavier if it's paired with another move that I need lighter weights. For example, the shoulder press/tri ext.
