EDIT: After seeing that Gootecks is an alt-right wingnut conspiracy mainliner, it's 100% for the best that CCTV ended and Mike Ross walked away. I'm now left wondering if Mike knew something we didn't. There's no real reason they couldn't have continued. I play USFIV still and a lot of people still do. I play a lot of Melee, that's my main game, and it's a shining example of the fact you do not need the newest game, developer support or any of that to have an 'old' game still be the one on top. We've had community implemented rollback netcode, replays, online tournaments and entire branches of Dolphin specifically tuned for our game alone all come out. All people had to do was turn their nose up at Capcom's money and go grassroots. All scenes should have a strong grassroots foundation, because if you don't you end up in situations like we have today where everyone in the SF community (and other communities) is playing a boring game that they all hate because it's where the money is. It's not too late, this game CAN be revived, it has a solid enough remaining playerbase and even still has the occasional regional and a fair few locals when COVID isn't fucking things up. Support games you like to play, you'd be amazed how far you can take them. @@HystericalHuntress yeah, man. Before it went mainstream and turned into some social spectacle, it was an underground scene and it was so much raw and real. Everyone had technique and had their own tech set-ups and the ONLY way you knew was to be there and view it yourself. THATS the scene I think we all miss. Just a gang of homies chilling, eating and just making tech. Also, newer games made it way easier to do complicated combos. I still will play Third Strike, because it’s just difference pace and actually requires good timing and accuracy. I miss my 2D fighters.
"do the math, who jumped more Justin Wong or me? Justin Wong jumped like 30 more times than I did" - Mike Ross Justin Wong plays Rufus. The DIVE KICK CHARACTER. He jumps like 2-3x every time he gets a knockdown, of course he jumps more.
I don't blame Mike for going his own way for fear of eSports. But I do blame him for underestimating his ability to sway people. Mike really was the best at presenting fighting games. Future Gootecks is fucked, and Future Mike is hiding from a world he no longer believes in.
Every year i rewatch these myself, remembering the good old times :3
Miss this series so much, honestly would have been so happy had SFV never released and we continued this timeline.

So right man.
@@HystericalHuntress Waaaah he has a different political opinion than me so I've got to drag him.
Go cry on twitter scrub

godlike reupload.... Glad these episodes didnt stay lost. Thank you!
Love these old episodes, I remember watching this the first time and thinking gootecks did a line of coke at the start.
Probably not far off lmao
he 100% did
My favorite part about anything mike ross is when he says “watch this” and nothing happens lol
It's always time for that yearly re-watch
They are having a lot of fun.
Also seeing Gootecks winning again is refreshing haha. Dope
Edit: I take the winning part back
@@BryanV4 LMFAO
time to rewatch these
Thank you so much man!! Doing god’s work!
That‘s just what I was thinking 🙏
Good stuff here. Wish they would come back some how in a different light.
Thanks for the upload, was looking for this for a long time a few years ago
So Mike actually did win more than one match in a row it was just lost to time XD
Goo was always hitting the booze hard. He looks rough nowadays. Great episodes btw.
Shots and street fighter!?? I would've loved to have been a guest!!
Let's go sfv, hope it goes good at launch
Love
At the very start of the video it sounds like one of them does a line of blow and the other asks if it's good lol
9:10 for future reference
I wish I could show yal my M. Bison
Watching these is like a window in Time. Before the dark days of Scrub Fighter V and Ryan slowly (but assuredly) slipping into Madness... :(
I heard he was doing better now
He never slipped into madness, Jesus Christ. All he did was dare to have a political opinion that didn't match yours
@@torachan23 Calling someone who died as a result of their domestic terrorism a "martyr" is a little crazy
I wonder if the episode where meik russ threw wallet was in there
i was there
Gooey should have been playing drunken master dahlsim the whole time.
MA HONDA SO NAIS
