First - Hair looks amazing. Second- As someone who's been crocheting for forty years, let me say you are doing brilliant and it's a craft that keeps changing and evolving whilst still using the base stitches. I look forward to many more patterns 🥰
Can I just say, I'm only 2:30 in and I'm already enamored with a tutorial that I haven't even seen yet. Keep em coming! And I love the haircut. Super cute, especially with the bandana 🤗
Yes please to infinitely more chatty crochet tutorials!! 😍😍 You look amazing, your nails looking amazing, those yarn colours are glorious, everything is just 11/10 💛🥰
I'm moving into my first apartment with my best friends and they gave me free reign to crochet whatever I want and I will totally be making these! They're going to love them! :)
my mom’s special talent is crocheting; my great grandma taught her when she was a teenager. she’s tried teaching me before, but i couldn’t really get into it. i saw this thumbnail and absolutely loved the colors and shape of the coasters, so i decided to try it. i quickly lost interest once i heard terminology 😅, but the next day i decided to sit down and learn. my mom has been making me practice the different stitches on a small ball of old yarn, and i’ve already made so much progress overnight! i finally watched this video in full and plan on trying to make my coaster sometime this week. thank you for introducing me to my newest hobby!
Thank you Cheyenne! I used this tutorial to make colorful coasters for my classmates (they loved them!) and I'm currently making more of them for all of my friends and relatives for Christmas! This is a great idea for quick, last-minute gifts, and I'm sure I'll make more of these coasters in the future!
Awesome tutorial!! I was able to follow along easily and my coaster is really nice. Now I want to make more with the bright colors you used. They’ll be “end of school”gifts for my grandson’s teachers and aides. Keep up great work.
This was so helpful! I was able to learn with two watch throughs!! Thanks for sharing your seamless magic. I'm gonna have so much fun making these in my evenings as I wind down for the day!
I have never tried crochet before but something in my SOUL is telling me ok yes we want to do that now. I've got the crafting itch thanks to you, can't wait to get some beginners supplies and give it a go :)
I am so happy you’re doing a crochet tutorial, every time I see you making something in a video I wish I could follow along. This will be my next project, just need some more colourful yarn 🧶✨
I'm on my fourth coaster, I love them so much! 🥰 I bought some more colours to coordinate with my other office space I'm renovating. It's so fun to work on these while I'm working and need a brief brain break. I'm probably going to end up making a lot and I'll be sharing them with my mom and sisters. Thank you so much for this fun little pattern! ☺
I’m loving the crochet content! Obviously came for your art but crochet is another art form too! Thank you for sharing this tutorial! It’s so pretty! 🌼🧶
i was thinking i might fancy these in just a sort of jade-y, minty hue, and look what popped up at the end! :D been crocheting for 35 years but still got fresh ideas from this tutorial, cheers!
I've watched so many coaster tutorials recently to practice different styles and this one was my favourite! I also LOVE how you slip stitch into the first double crochet like you mentioned, i always found that counting the first chain as a double crochet looked a bit messy but this was seamless! thank you! 😊✨
I stumbled on your tutorial and I'm glad I found you. You are so pleasant and your tutorial is great. I look forward to more videos. Have a great night. Donna
for someone like me to have issues on learning new things. you did a good job explaining everything ..thank you for that also to inspiring me to crochet 💌
I’ve been saving this video for a rainy day and am absolutely stoked that I did! I loved this chatty tutorial-hope to see you do more of these videos in the future! Also love the P5 music. Such a vibe. 😊
I did it!!! Your tutorial was amazing, Cheyenne! I'm so happy with my cluster, your instructions, both words and video, were very clear! Thank you very much for putting this together. I'm still learning how to crochet, so my POV is from a beginners side 💜 Also, your haircut is beautiful!
super nice tutorial cheyenne!! i just started crocheting recently and so far i’ve been enjoying it! ✨✨ also i noticed the persona ost in the beginning and literally gaspED
Thanks for how you are...continue as you are doing things.Love your videos..I have 69 years old and like it to be slowly described.God Bless you.Un abrazo
Such a fun tutorial, now I want to go learn to crochet! These look like a fun way to start out🥰 (also love the P5 music in the background, I love that song!!)
hello!! i noticed on insta that you had made crochet pouches, will you ever put out a tutorial or anything on how to make those? love your cozy crochet works!!
I wish I could do crochet projects but I tense up so much doing crafty work like that and it hurts my arms. Very sad as I used to knit a lot but I prioritise illustration now. Loved the tutorial though and you look absolutely stunning as always. Loved the video 💖
Lil update lol...: Turns out I did learn *multiple* things here! Being: the "reverse join" at the end of a round, and the "standing single crochet" and the start of a round...I'll try to remember those 😌 see, we indeed learn something new every time 💅
Watching this as a super calming thing to have on, UNTIL I heard you mention oatmilk lavender matcha latte WHICH is my go-to treat for the last few months. Wild! Is there something in the metaphorical water? (Also recently chopped off a bunch of hair to donate and now that it's grown out a bit from the travesty of what the first hairdresser did to it... absolutely using your style as "editing-Chey" as the template for what I want)
Instructions (for myself to refer back to when I remake this) **Round 2 - Double crochet clusters** yo pull up loop yo pull thru 2 yo insert yo pull a loop (3 loops on hook now) yo pull thru 2 (2 loops on your hook now) yo insert yo pull loop (4 loops on hook now) yo pull thru 2 yo and pull through all the hoops then chain 2 and repeat until circle is done **Round 3 - half double crochet** You're going to want to do 3 of these per "chain 2 space" insert into a chain 2 space yo pull thru yo, insert, yo, pull up a loop yo, pull thru all 3 loops *Seamless Round Joining* seamless joining remove hook find top of first 1/2 dc insert hook from back to front, and then pop your yarn loop back on and pull through *Round 4 - Double Crochets* Pattern: 2 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc (so 2dc in every 3rd stitch) reinsert yo, pull thru yo pull thru 2 chain 1 that's your first dc in same stitch, do 1 more dc then 1 dc in the next stictch and 1 dc in the stitch after that then 2 dc in the next stitch
Great job with your tutorial. Nicely done! If you want to challenge yourself, search for Sophie's Universe. I made mine after I had been crocheting for about a year and a half. Gave me a wonderful sense of accomplishment and...it's beautiful!
Oh, I've always heard it referred to as a "standing single" cause it's the first stitch in the round/row, much like a standing hdc or standing dc !! Small potatoes, either way~
First - Hair looks amazing. Second- As someone who's been crocheting for forty years, let me say you are doing brilliant and it's a craft that keeps changing and evolving whilst still using the base stitches. I look forward to many more patterns 🥰

I was trying to figure out how to make a circle and this was so great and helpful!
I LOVE YOUR HAIR SO MUCH ITS SO CUTE
Using a needle for any join when changing color is the best!
I wanted to make a big colorful coaster for some time because I enjoy drinking tea from very big mugs, this could not be more handy, so thanks!
Loved this! Thank you for explaining every step and explaining so well!!
What a nice hair cut , you looks stunning 🤩

I wish I could do crochet projects but I tense up so much doing crafty work like that and it hurts my arms. Very sad as I used to knit a lot but I prioritise illustration now. Loved the tutorial though and you look absolutely stunning as always. Loved the video 💖
To be fair, I already know how to do all this (been crocheting for YEARS) but I'm here nonetheless for the lovely vibes 💞🌻
Lil update lol...: Turns out I did learn *multiple* things here! Being: the "reverse join" at the end of a round, and the "standing single crochet" and the start of a round...I'll try to remember those 😌 see, we indeed learn something new every time 💅
Very pretty!
LOVE your colour choice! Can I ask what shade the blue is in the Lily's yarn?
Chey I love this!! I literally ran out to buy yarn and made my own coaster! It's a bit wonky but it's my first one so it's okay
Cute bandana!
You are so fun!
Pretty!
nice hair cut 🙂 I really need to take up crochet again, it can be so relazing
Watching this as a super calming thing to have on, UNTIL I heard you mention oatmilk lavender matcha latte WHICH is my go-to treat for the last few months. Wild! Is there something in the metaphorical water?
(Also recently chopped off a bunch of hair to donate and now that it's grown out a bit from the travesty of what the first hairdresser did to it... absolutely using your style as "editing-Chey" as the template for what I want)
Before you finished the increasing round in green yarn, the coaster looked like a lily pad and i just wanted to point that out : )
Could you do a crochet hand stretch tutorial? That would be so lovely!
I don't crochet but this is still interesting to watch 😁
💕👍
Your haircut looks amazing! Kinda european vibe
Instructions (for myself to refer back to when I remake this)
**Round 2 - Double crochet clusters**
yo pull up loop
yo pull thru 2
yo insert
yo pull a loop
(3 loops on hook now)
yo pull thru 2 (2 loops on your hook now)
yo insert
yo pull loop (4 loops on hook now)
yo pull thru 2
yo and pull through all the hoops
then chain 2 and repeat until circle is done
**Round 3 - half double crochet**
You're going to want to do 3 of these per "chain 2 space"
insert into a chain 2 space
yo pull thru
yo, insert, yo, pull up a loop
yo, pull thru all 3 loops
*Seamless Round Joining*
seamless joining
remove hook
find top of first 1/2 dc
insert hook from back to front, and then pop your yarn loop back on and pull through
*Round 4 - Double Crochets*
Pattern: 2 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc
(so 2dc in every 3rd stitch)
reinsert
yo, pull thru
yo pull thru 2
chain 1
that's your first dc
in same stitch, do 1 more dc
then 1 dc in the next stictch
and 1 dc in the stitch after that
then 2 dc in the next stitch
🤗🤗🤗🤗🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🤗🤗
I also would love more fundamental crochet videos if you ever feel up to it as I very much enjoy your teaching style!
These are so pretty! Running to Michael's so I can try this out! (✿◡‿◡)
Omg "farmers market queer" is everything I am and want to be ahahah
Me watching this entire video while I have no idea how to crochet: (:
The music, the voiceover, everything is just so charming!!!!
Me: about to comment about the Bisexual BobTM
Chey: "I do realized how it's the Bisexual Bob which I suppose is fitting"
bahahaha
Great job with your tutorial. Nicely done!
If you want to challenge yourself, search for Sophie's Universe. I made mine after I had been crocheting for about a year and a half. Gave me a wonderful sense of accomplishment and...it's beautiful!
😻 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓂
I crocheted a lot until I got pain in my hand
Cheyenne not to be rude but that isn't a standing single..it's a regular single
Oh, I've always heard it referred to as a "standing single" cause it's the first stitch in the round/row, much like a standing hdc or standing dc !! Small potatoes, either way~
