- We’re taking a look at the Amazon Exclusive Gold Label Batman set that includes a slightly retooled black suit variant of Batman packaged with black versions of the Batwing and Whirlybat. This was listed in the Wave 8 leaks but was released separately, so this fun little bundle gets its very own review! These should be shipping for all those who put in a preorder soon.

If McFarlane does bring us the black Batmobile, will it be more like the 1989 movie version with a cocoon cover like the old Toy Biz version? I'd also like to see a Batcycle (blue version) in the future. On another note, what do you think about the McFarlane Collector's Club crowdfunding announcement? They're offering a Bat Multicraft, Black Manta's Seasaucer, along with repaints of Batman, Robin, Black Manta, and Aquaman.
That would have made so much more sense than the whirlybat. :)
@@uhhuhhuh100 Would definitely love a Batcycle! We posted about that crowdfunding on our Instagram and on our Community tab on RUclips earlier. We backed it. Pretty cool vehicles and figures, and I think it's an interesting use of the Collector's Club. Probably a good experiment to see how well the campaign is shared and supported.

You can look at it like you’re buying a nice black suit Batman and Batwing and getting the Whirlybat for free! Lol
Have the blue versions of both vehicles and prefer those because they go with my Kenner Batmobile. Don’t plan to get this set because I’m not a fan of the all black look, but do like the smokey canopies on both vehicles. Do agree the whirly bat should’ve had some metallic paint on the props to stand out against the matte black of the body.
Awesome! Can’t really go wrong with either color set up, depending on individual preference. They all look fantastic, in our opinion.
@@JustBSingProductions Yup! 😊I would be interested in a 1989 Batmobile in all black, especially if it came with all black Batman since I didn’t buy the single release version.

I appreciate the unboxing. I buy these things and refuse to open unless I get 2, and I can't afford that unless it's for Wonder Woman. This at least lets me see what's in the box (yelled like Brad Pitt in Se7en)...

The canopy issue with the batwing was almost exclusively an issue with the 1st wave of product. I’m at work so I can’t look at the boxes but the production numbers of the 1st wave vs the second wave are on the box so you can tell if you might have a problematic product.
Good to know. My Batwing is from the first wave of products, I’m almost certain. I got it early into the run. Glad it wasn’t a problem on mine, and I’m glad it seems to have been resolved!
I bought three from my local Walmart. All three broke within minutes of opening the canopy once or twice. Finally, I took it apart after supergluing the canopy plastic hinge part, does not spring open anymore, but at least I can open and close it when pressing the bat symbol button.

The original batcopter was black and blue, also repainted for the dark knight collection. Love the video, still waiting for my set. Amazon is out of stock but i had it pre ordered

I agree that the Whirly-Bat doesn't really match the look/feel of '89 Batman, but it's still nice to have. I'm glad to see the flat yellow repaint on the figure (kinda wish they'd gone with a screen accurate chest emblem, with the extra wing tip points, but oh well).
Yeah, that little symbol tweak would have been awesome!

I think this Batman is an homage to what was shown on the back of the old Batman ‘89 cardbacks. The Batman we were promised was a repaint of the Super Powers Batman - black and yellow (whereas Kenner later is this in black and gold). I just wish we could that figure from the Toybiz cardback complete with the pull out batrope belt!

Hey and that’s awesome that you do! Everyone has different preferences and opinions and these are just ours. I love that this line offers options for everyone to enjoy. Really can’t go wrong with either color bc they’re both excellent!

I ordered this set on May 9th, Amazon, just minutes after this video was posted. It still hasn't arrived and now has no estimated date of delivery. Just says, "Will notify you when available."
Yeah unfortunately this has been common. I’m guessing they didn’t receive the stock when they were supposed to. Hang in there. It should still get to you.

Just saw the Collector Ctlub drop of the Manta ship and the Batsub. I really cannot believe that they are going to make this line virtually impossible for the average fan with an average income to complete. Really disappointed.
Gotta partially disagree on that. Some exclusives are certainly more difficult, but the Collector’s Club thing isn’t one of them. For $75 you can back the project and, if completed, get 4 figures and the two vehicles. Or for $45, get the two vehicles. That’s cheaper than retail. And if the project doesn’t fully fund, they don’t get made and nobody gets them and keeps their money. It’s just a new interactive feature, similar to Hasbro’s HasLab.
