So sad she is no longer here. Interesting watching this interview. She is so real and genuine. Loved how she mentioned all the jobs she had. LOL! We miss you Donna!
A truly amazing singer, a truly amazing person, and a truly amazing wife and mother. She and Bruce Sudano, her husband, were soul mates and loved each other in marriage for almost 32 years. Their collaborations were the BEST both in music and in LIFE!! Rest in Peace, Donna!
We have now lost 3 of the worlds greatest voices - Karen Carpenter, Donna Summer, and Ella Fitzgerald. Donna now falls into the catergory of "Legend" as she refers to Ella in this very interview. these 3 woman didn't have the technology as we have today to "Polish" ones voice in the studio. These woman could truly SING, and not whine on a recording....they will be forever missed until we hopefully see them again on the other side.....
Donna is my all time favorite singer. Love her down to earth humility. You are not likely to see an interview with her where she comes across as egotistical as if she's owed something, like some other female singers do.
I'm Spanish and I have a very good level of English. However, this is the first time that I've heard the expression 'to sound like alfalfa'. What does she mean by saying that? I've always wanted to know and I haven't found the expression anywhere else. Can anyone tell me the meaning, please. She says that at 8:30. Thank you very much in advance.
