Mr. Gatlin, honestly they need to hire you for the next season of Sprint. You would do a great job at producing and formatting the episodes, because the way the current Netflix producers edited the episodes - it just felt so unorganized and rushed. And I agree, lol even though I’m from the U.S. , the series definitely paints the American athletes in a brighter light, in comparison to the other countries. That’s why Julien Alfred’s story, this season, was the highlight for me. It was refreshing to see a non American athlete share a little insight into what it’s like competing from a different country. She was so inspiring, especially when she spoke about how she was the underdog. I don’t verbatim remember exactly what she stated about respecting Sha’Carri, but she said something along the lines of: “As much as I think highly of Sha’Carri, I have to think highly of myself”. And OMG, she then went on to win the 100 meter race. I was like floored by how inspiring that moment was! So yeah, I hope if there are future seasons, they get actual people such as yourself to help layout better formats. The producers do a crappy job at telling the stories in a seamless fashion, it feels like it’s more catered towards brewing up drama. And these athletes work way too hard to not have their stories and sport be told in a respectful fashion.

I appreciate the value this podcast brings. Justin displays a great producer's mindset in his analysis and ability to articulate his vision, effectively. A unique blend of being a superstar in his field, but grounded enough to realize what great storytelling would embody for the common/casual observer (such as myself). Rodney brings an encyclopedic knowledge of the sport, in depth takes/critique and a sense of humility that allows him to remain an enthused fan of the guests brought on or spoken of, in spite his own professional accomplishments.
    Continued success.

Either way, Letsile Tebogo and Akani Simbine have been talked about all over the world because they are champions. The 2 Zim athletes did well to be in the finals and I am proud of them for getting that far. However, winning will get the world to talk about them.

33:13; BAH unfortunately couldn't afford to host World Relays again & some upgrade work is being done to the Nassau stadium IIRC. With World Indoors in China as well as the first couple of DL Meets (Xiamen & Suzhou) plus a WA Continental Gold Level Tour Meet in Beijing, looks like WA decided to also let China host '25 World Relays with the hope/expectation that a load of athletes will basically set up camp in China in the early part of the season to be able to attend all of those meets. The LA GST Meet is on the same wkend as the NY Grand Prix Meet!
44:28; 26yr old Alica Schmidt (52.07 PB) has never broken 52s in the 400m. After Paris OLY, she ran her 1st Pro 800m race (2.05.22) then about 2wks later ran her 1st Pro 600m race & finished 3rd (1.24.88) in the same race Mary Moraa ran her 1.21.63 WR in which has convinced her to move up to the 800m to see if she can at least run sub 2m which makes sense. Not expecting her to be competitive against the 800m specialists but being a 1.59 800m runner looks a little better than being a 52s quarter-miler! That headline has been sensationalised for clickbait as there's literally no quote from her personally calling out any of the top 800m runners.

The '25 World Relays in China looks redundant, but they're actually the '23s that were postponed due to pandemic conditions, so it's been allowed years ago.
I think that London would have been a great location for GST. The actual locations are mostly great in themselves and I understand the financial risk, but they first announced 2 locations in the US + 2 in other countries, now we got 3 in the US and 1 in Jamaica. All locations are in more or less the same time zone... Doesn't make much sense when, you said it yourself, american are not the biggest track fans in the world compared to Europe and Africa... As a french, it feels a bit like a let down, especially with Samba-Mayela and Ducos being signed. I can't help but wondering if they even will broadcast it overseas, considering they can't seem to find a US channel...
Regarding the "World Sexiest Athlete", do you realise that maybe she's "bored" of the 400m BECAUSE she's not dominating ? Maybe she gave everything she had and it was never enough, and she thinks she has others strengths that could take her higher in the 800m ? e.g. we have a female athlete in France that spent her whole career in the 400 with an even slower PB, moved to the 800 at the age of 30 and won the bronze at the Indoors European Championship only months later. Assefa went from being an average african 800 runner straight to world record holder in the marathon. Plus y'all are praising Fred for switching to the 100m, but he's never been dominating in the 400 either. Sorry but I don't call winning 1 Diamong League Final "dominating" and he still made it to the most aggressive sprint event.
Anyway, it might not look that way but I still love your show, even if I don't always agree with you, you guys do a great job overall. And I agree with another comment, I'd love to hear more about Coach Rodney's journey. Peace.
