I never understood why the 4x200 isn't ran at a higher level. It takes a different skill than the 100 and 400 so gives a different element to a meet. World Relays should be two days of every different type of relay you can think of
@@AllInTheGame01 Because both men are equally fast 9.9s runners, it will come down to who does baton exchanges better. Based on recent performances, I actually prefer Usheoritse Itsekiri on anchor leg.
@DavidDominion-ju4hv Hahaha! You never hespererit. Brother, no be only you sabi better thing sha. Many of us love sprinting, especially when our athletes like Tobi Amusan are winning.
Gat you wrong about the 9.7 one. Asafa’s fastest 100 time in a championship was 9.84. What says that he would be ahead of this generation with his pb being 9.72. You know pbs aren’t the end all be all. I agree with the others since the rest have ran 9.79 or faster in finals but not Asafa.
If Kishane or Oblique compete against Noah at a Diamond league close to Tokyo 2025, Gatlin might be moved from the Top 5. Especially if Kerley or Tebogo is also in the race.
For USA mixed 4x1 I’d go Jefferson, Richardson, Lyles, to Kerley. Richardson has the best top end of any USA female, and lyles can run that turn better than anybody else. Also his speed in two exchange zones would be fast. Bootprint Fred on the home stretch🥾
14:10; 😂 Shouldn't Yohan technically be #2 as he ran his 9.69 (-0.1) into a slight headwind to Tyson's 9.69 (+2.0) with the full legal tailwind? Expected Fred or Kishane by now to have run 9.73 for that Top 5 spot. Devynne's lead-off in a BAH W4x1, but would be tempted to swap her for a healthy Shaunae (10.98/21.74/48.36) in the mixed 4x1 on that long 2nd leg; Anthonique ▶ Shaunae ▶ Wanya ▶ Terrence. GB; Dina ▶ Daryll ▶ Zharnel ▶ Louie. NGR; Rosemary ▶ Favour Ofili ▶ Udodi ▶ Godson Brume. CAN; Madogo ▶ Leduc ▶ Brown ▶ De Grasse.
Tyson did it first that's why he is ranked ahead of Yohan even though technically Yohan clocking is faster with wind comparison. They have the joint time but in comparison Tyson is always mentioned ahead of Yohan due to him accomplishing it first
Andrew Degrasse got to be in a top 5 list or honorable mention. He doesn't have the fastest times, but if he's at a international championship he's leaving with a medal 100, 200 ot 4x100..🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

You know it's off the books though right? Some people include it anyway. Considering how rampant drug use still is, whether found or not, I'd still count Ben's times. I read his coach's (Charlie Francis) book Speed Trap as well which breaks it all down.
@ yes I understand, but Gatlin made it seem as he thought it was humanly impossible to run sub 9.8 until Mo Greene did it, even though he clearly witnessed Ben do it. I just find it odd how he’s trying to erase history, or maybe touching on that subject is a sensitive topic for him.
We are a bit unfair to Ben Johnson, considering 5 of the other guys in that race had drugs in their system and all (except Bolt) in the Top 5 sprinters of all-time have had anti-doping violations.
Dude, Noah Lyles is not even up to Number 10 on the all-time list -- there are six Americans who have been faster than him, not to mention Jamaicans. And he hasn't done as much for the sport as Jesse Owens or any of the other guys on Rodney's list. So please, put him on the list after he has earned it.
@@waterrocketlab151 In Sprinting as a whole, I would still put Maurice Greene and Jesse Owens ahead of Lyles. Jesse Owens had a 200m Olympic Gold, but Noah Lyles has bronze after two attempts. Owens held the 100m world record for 20 years and Maurice Green was the first sub 9.8s sprinter -- Lyles has never had a WR. Also, Lyles' double world championship gold is not unique - Maurice already did that.
@@waterrocketlab151 If it's all about medals, you should put Carl Lewis in Number 2, and Michael Johnson in Number 3. Sprinting is bigger than medals -- record breaking performances draw much more attention to the sport than medals. That's why people trooped to stadiums to see Bolt, the fastest human in history. Flo-Jo is proof of this -- you saw how we watched Shericka in 2023 just to see if she could break Flo's impossible record. Lyles himself understands this, that's why he talks a big game about breaking Bolt's records, but hasn't succeeded. And btw, don't say Lyles is still going until he faces The Wrath of Kishane and The Rise of Tebogo in Tokyo 2025.
I’m sorry but that lady’s WR is tainted. Half the world believes she was under the influence plus other conspiracies around her time. For that alone she could never be my number 1.
Hyped for this one - huge fan of the podcast and bought your book, Justin; keep it coming lads!
We need the 4x200 at world relays and the track and field worlds

Yes!!! 4x200m!!!!
Merlene Ottey has to be honorable mention longevity 8 Olympic WR 200 indoors Jamaican legend multiple medals
Exactly. Merlene Ottey opened the gate for Veronica Campbell-Brown and Shell-Ann to come through.
Shelly-Ann, Flo-Jo, Elaine, Alyson, Ottey
1. Bolt
2. MJ
3. Lewis
4. Owens
5. Lyles
excuse me,can you tell me the exact time of the video?when did they say it?Thank you very much!
Nigeria can produce Africa's best mixed 4x100m team with Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, Udodi Onwuzurike and Favour Ashe.
Me thinking am the only Nigerian watching this podcast
But I will prefer Tobi Amusan on the first leg then to Favour Ofili then the boys bring it home
Favour Ashe or Godson Brume on anchor leg?!

Top 5 sprinters is Bolt, Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, Maurice Greene, & Jesse Owens
Devon Allen gone come back and run 10.6 and 13.7
Rodney, why?
Marion Jones if Shelly and Elaine even with the drug use?
Love from Jamaica 🇯🇲
We missed Shelly-Ann and Shericka in Paris. We wish all your injured athletes good health and success in 2025.
