They dont have a primary ball handler to run an offense which leads to turnovers because Tatum and Brown aren't great ball handlers but both get can their own shot though they have a tough time creating for others and alot of the times it's tough shot. Marcus cant set them up consistently for success. Which leads to Boston 2nd fundamental issue the quality of shots they get especially in the 4th quarter sucks because of what was said prior. Crazily, I still feel like the celtics are the better team. When they don't commit turnovers, their defense sets up and gsw hasn't been great against it (check offensive rating). All the celtics have to do is commit to posting up curry on the block and not iso-ing at the top of the key
The Celtics are not better than the warriors, they are finally facing a complete team, outside of the Brooklyn nets who were overrated imo to begin with.
Asking a team to play really smart when they really haven't on average is a hard ask at this point. Depth of GSW means they just have more energy going forward resulting in better more aggressive defense, rebounding and getting those loose balls.

You know, I've been saying for the last 5 years: "The Celtics need to make a move for John Wall or Chris Paul" We haven't really seen John Wall since his injury, but there's a question of whether it would have happened at all in Boston. Marcus Smart, as excellent of a defender as he is, is just not a talented playmaker. Better than he was, but he is not enough of an offensive threat from the perimeter to effectively draw the defense.
@Sean Steo smarts a good enough playmaker they just got to stop passing the ball while they're in mid air because it allows the defense to rotate to the ball easier leading to Alot of turnovers other players around the league have that issue too just not as bad as the celtics
The thing that bugs me the most about skips 4th quarter steph takes. Every. Single. Game. Steph starts the 4th quarter on the bench, and doesn't come in USUALLY until around the 7 minute mark. @@hoops7767 Boston has consistently been giving gsw free candy the majority of the finals.The two things killing Boston that they can't fix is the turnovers because of the root issue with that team. They dont have a primary ball handler to run an offense which leads to turnovers because Tatum and Brown aren't great ball handlers but both get can their own shot though they have a tough time creating for others and alot of the times it's tough shot. Marcus cant set them up consistently for success. Which leads to Boston 2nd fundamental issue the quality of shots they get especially in the 4th quarter sucks because of what was said prior. They end up isoing 1 on 1 and take a tough shot.

Crazily, I still feel like the celtics are the better team. When they don't commit turnovers, their defense sets up and gsw hasn't been great against it (check offensive rating). All the celtics have to do is commit to posting up curry on the block and not iso-ing at the top of the key

The Celtics are not better than the warriors, they are finally facing a complete team, outside of the Brooklyn nets who were overrated imo to begin with.
Asking a team to play really smart when they really haven't on average is a hard ask at this point. Depth of GSW means they just have more energy going forward resulting in better more aggressive defense, rebounding and getting those loose balls.

You know, I've been saying for the last 5 years: "The Celtics need to make a move for John Wall or Chris Paul" We haven't really seen John Wall since his injury, but there's a question of whether it would have happened at all in Boston.
Marcus Smart, as excellent of a defender as he is, is just not a talented playmaker. Better than he was, but he is not enough of an offensive threat from the perimeter to effectively draw the defense.
