Frostbite was my first song. I heard it a few years after the horizon album came out and they’ve been in my top 5 since.
Carrion was my first Parkway Drive song, and they sound so amazing live ^^
Deep blueeeee...memories! I still cannot understand how big they have become in the metal community in general being a festival where metalcore was not that hype years ago vs balck metal in wacken! I'm so happy for them. Me I listen to all genres of metal and Parkway drive is still one of my favs

I’ve aged with their music. 13 years ago I heard Carrion and I was hooked in high school. They were my proper gateway into the metal scene. Without Parkway Drive I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Amazing that they perform the old music and nail it like this!
Man, I saw Parkway Drive once at a tiny venue in Melbourne like ten years ago but this is next level shit! They are 1000x the band they used to be!

I really would love to see them come back next year with a full force metalcore album with more songs like breaking point, karma, etc the actual technical heavy stuff Winston talked about in the first DVD
I don't think they'll be fully doing an album with all that anymore. Apparently they'll be sticking to the sound of Ire for a while
ikr, im more and more disappointed in new albums. They go to reach more people, not for the heaviness. This IRE lead sound, it becomes more and more popular.
What's the problem with that, though? Ire was a kickass album. Sure, it was a little more 'Mainstream' sounding but I don't think it hurts the sound in any way. These guys are only getting older at this point, so I don't expect them keep the exact same amount of heaviness like they had 5-10 years ago. I want these guys to progress and not feel like they need to make the same album again. Just because some people's criteria of good music, is based on heaviness.
Saw them last night in Melbourne for the Horizons 10 year anniversary. Played from start to finish. Was epic as fuck!!!

The circle pit for Atreyu during Lipgloss and Black at the 2016 SLC Warped Tour was the biggest I've ever seen. Alex lead it and it was the whole crowd. No one did not participate. Epic!!

Krass das Core immer noch von 'True' Metalheads, nicht als Metal gesehn wird. Ganz ehrlich diese Diskussion ist total daneben. Wir feiern alle harte Riffs ect. und das findet man im Core und im 'True'. Lasst diese Genre spalterei einfach sein.
Was aber auffällt diese Diskussion gibts nur im Internet. Niemand hat mir in Wacken erzählt ich sei kein Metaler, nur weil ich Core höre.
Ich höre zu 90% Hardcore, Metalcore, usw. und finde die Diskussion auch lächerlich. Dass es auch immer diese "Szene-Polizisten" geben muss...und klar, im Internet fühlen die sich sicherer. In der Realität könnte ja jemand drüber lachen...
Früher war ich auch so Idiot. Heute bin ich der Auffassung, dass dieses Diskussion einfach scheißdreck ist. Gibt ja auch saugeile corebands, wie parkway, hsb oder auch trivium
Bin zwar etwas spät höre aber auch sehr gerne Core. Das Problem ist das viele Leute bei Metalcore nur an Bands wie Bring me the Horizon denken(welche auch ein paar gute Lieder haben) denken und manche denken einfach das es angesagt ist schlecht über dieses Subgenre zu reden.
@@dingadunga2941 was hat das mit dem Gitarren Tuning zu tuhen? Cannibal Corpse haben lieder die auf G bzw G# runtergestimmt sind. Whitechapel haben dieses tuning auch. Rings of Saturn haben sogar dropE tuning. Ich glaube es gibt im gesamten core bereich keine Band, die ihre Gitarren so tief haben(halt nur oft im Djent). Amon Amarth,5fdp,In Flames,Alter Bridge, etc , diese Bands haben genau gleiche tunings die im core auch verwendet werden

it's an INSPIRATION not a RIPOFF, Rammstein riffs are way more "basic", not everyone who uses pyrotechnics is instantly ripping off Rammstein, its good to be inspired by the best, but i wouldn't call it ripoff.

Auch Punk und Folk werden von Metalheads auf Metal Festivals abgefeiert. Wieso sollte nicht auch eine Metalcore Band wie Parkway Drive viele Freunde in Wacken haben?
Wenn diese Vielfalt Wacken aus deiner Sicht zu Rock am Ring werden lässt, dann ist das bereits seit den 90ern so.
WackenTV Ganz einfach, weil diese Em0 Core Faggets da nichts zu suchen haben. Nur echte frostbitten trve Brutal Black Death Metal Bands sollen dort spielen, aber auch nur, wenn Sie ihr Album in einer Höhle, in den tiefsten Tiefen von Skandinavien aufgenommen haben. Natuerlich muss diese davor mit Jungfrauenblut entweiht worden sein. Sonst macht das ja keinen Sinn...

so übertrieben war das garnich gemeint xD ich mag parkway drive, aber irgendwie denke ich bei solchen bands mehr an rock am ring, wacken is für mich halt pur metal, mittelalter und 80er Hardcore-Punk :D
Dann ist in Wacken bisher einiges an dir vorbei gegangen. Z. B. Killswitch Engage, Walls of Jericho, Unearth, Bring Me the Horizon, August Burns Red, Born from Pain und viele andere, die seit zehn Jahren und mehr dort am Start sind.
Bei Bring me the horizon würde ich mich eher aufregen, PWD ist doch noch eine der einzigen Bands die melodischen und schnellen Metalcore machen und den gibt es bei Wacken schon lange xD
