out of all the bands that share this genre, I would have to say this is the best! Not only because they are from Australia like me :) They also aren't into the whole "look" of metal these days. They are just muso's, enjoying their music and playing! :)
One of the only bands that truly have a party on stage and love what they do. The vast majority of these guys sit around a tour bus and drink themselves into a stupor due to them not being able to handle the road. PWD are magnificent at what they do, and have the maddest respect for the people that put them into the position whereby they can travel the world and play the music that they want to play. Damn near perfect band.
I was playing runescape in 2009 to discover these guys. I was friends with someone in the game. I asked him what his favorite band was. He said Parkway Drive. I youtubed the song. And the first song I listened to by them was Carrion. I cannot agree. Winston's deep screams and his voice is one of the most memorable thing around this band. With another vocalist they'd become the normal metalcore band with shouted verses and clean choruses.
