The way you think about the game has really helped my game out recently. I’ve been trying to copy your attitude on the course and it’s payed off. Thanks
That's cool to hear, thanks man. I probably sound more level-headed when narrating the rounds than while playing them...there are emotional highs and lows of my rounds lol.
@@NotAScratchGolfer yeah I bet it can be a little different when your out on the course. You’ve said a few times in your videos that you really only need one good shot on a par 5. @@donsmnc5319 Agreed! I record video/audio with my phone and its microphone isn't very good. I'm considering picking up a microphone so I can do a bit more on-course commentary, too.
That was so good! Keep the narration coming!!!! I love your videos because we are pretty well of the same skill set. Although I break 80 a reasonably regular basis, I still consider 85 a good score for me. I've played SV and it's a beauty! I spent a summer working at Nicklaus North, 15 years ago. Absolutely beautiful. Cheers from PEI. Things are just getting going here!

Chateau is amazing. Lush, green, great scenery and stunning views off the par 3s. Back 9 is very scorable as well so don't quit if the front roughs you up!!
As a totally amateur videographer I wish I was able to capture how stunning this place - and others in BC - are in person. Video doesn't do it justice!

Hi Adam, great channel, love the videos. Just wondering where do you get the shot tracer and the scores displayed in the top right? My knowledge is very lacking when it comes to technology 😅 any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Derek from Ireland
Thanks, Derek! The shot tracing is done with an app called shot tracer - I should caution that it's very tedious to use. I create the scores as individual images that I import into the video (that I edit in iMovie). It's also a tedious process, but I'm not a professional video editor and it's the best workflow I've found so far. I hope that's helpful. Envious of the golf you enjoy in Ireland. Go low out there!
Absolutely love your videos, appreciate the effort you put into making them! Can you please share your practice strategy for your putting? It is the most impressive part of your game, in my opinion.
Thanks, Baker! I'm hoping to share a putting video in the next couple of weeks. Spoiler alert: for me it's less about technical drills than it is about my routine/psychological approach.

Right?! When I set the camera down I said, "ooooh this is a pretty shot, if I drain this chip, it would be a great clip to have." Like I said in the video, it's funny that when you focus on holing a chip rather than just getting it close, you're more likely to make it. On second hand, it's not that funny, it makes sense :p
At first I didn’t like your channel to be honest. But there’s no BS! Pure golf, great content quality, good course selection, good narrative! Great work, I subbed! I also suffer from the exact same “smother hook” issue with driver! What do you think could be the cause(s) for this?
Thanks, Clayton! I will preface this by saying I'm just a bad amateur and your local pro knows better. For me, though, I notice that I sometimes hit my draw by getting handsy, and when the smother hook comes out it's because my arms/hands get ahead of my body rotation.

Thanks so much. I've noticed this about my backswing (apart from driver, where my elongated swing is often my best) and am trying to incorporate it. Thanks again!
I notice you take driver off the tee on a lot of these short par 4’s (350 yards and down). This course seemed a tad tight to bring the trees into play on both sides. Why not tee off with a 3 or 4 wood off the tee on these holes? Some holes you could probably even get away with an iron. Curious to what your course mgmt philosophy is here Thanks
Thanks, Matthew! You're definitely on point here. Sometimes I struggle with this because - generally speaking (although not lately) - driver is my straightest long club.
