Dude. I shot a gross adjusted 93 with a 14 on the 18th alone at my tourney round at Meadow Gardens this past Sunday. A round with 7 pars ended with 103 gross. As a person who’s scrapped hard to get to a 17 index this year, this was mentally devastating…but we will recover. And be stronger for it. Crazy awesome - thanks so much for just sharing that we are GONNA get flattened from time to time...that's golf. Waddachannel, waddatourney, waddalife.
A really enjoyable series Adam. I cant imagine playing tournament golf, let alone knowing it was going to be posted for all to see. Congrats on making the cut, and thanks for showing us all how sometimes golf is good to us and some days it isn't.
Dude, that’s tough. I’m a newer golfer and I just broke, no, smashed 100 for the first time last week. I shot 90 at my home course. Went back three days later and shot 114. I don’t know how it happens, but I honestly needed to see this. I appreciate you.
You’re a real one Adam for real most guys on RUclips wouldn’t show this but you’re one of the ones who do it’s jaut how golf is and what makes it the hardest sport out there and one of the most rewarding!
You know what Adam, I have to credit you for hanging in there AND posting this round. Golf is full of variance and you didn't shy away from the bad. Kudos to you sir.
Thanks for sharing a video of a day where almost everything went wrong on the course. You deserve congratulations for getting to the final round and persevering despite a difficult final round on a difficult set up.
Adam, your videos are actually doing a great service to us "halfway decent" golfers who have hesitation to play competitively again. I played a lot of tournament golf through college days, but marriage and family cut into playing time over the years. I'm now 60 and have been playing a little more, and my handicap is at 6.7, almost exactly where you are. I can so totally relate to everything in your videos. I am struggling with the decision whether to enter our state's senior amateur... I think I'm going to do it. Who cares if I shoot 90? You never know until you try (again). One thing is for sure - tournament golf is a completely different animal from regular weekend golf...keep up the great work, I was hooked from the very first video. If you are ever out in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, would love to host you for a round or two!
We’ve all been there Adam, Keep smiling brother. Shit happens You and the Playa Playa himself are the only golf youtubers I watch now. Actually changed the way I think about the game and have made it fun again. Thanks man
Title of this video is "What happens when a good amateur has a shite ball striking day". Don't know what was wrong bud, but I admire the fight. Thanks so much for sharing the journey
Thanks for showing us that even good players have days where very little goes right. You never gave in and kept fighting and you finished with all your clubs intact😁.
Credit to you for showing your game warts and all. Tournament settings are always so hard. I played Langara last year first group after the tournament players. Was on the fringe of the first hole in 2 and then trying to account for the long rough caused me to launch and lose the ball into the woods.
Thanks Adam for sharing what most if not all of us have been through. Given what we have already seen you do on the course, it was a bit surprising to see the number of chunks and snap hooks, but I only have to think back to one of my own meltdowns in competition to know exactly what was going on. But as others have said, I haven't had a camera recording every shot... not sure I could even finish in those circumstances. Look forward to your next video and your next video'd competition! (I'm sure this was an outlier...)
Man, I can sympathize! Shot a 75 and a 105 within two weeks of each other. A frustrating/humbling game. Continuing to enjoy the videos- keep em coming!
Well played, since you made it to the final round! Helluva pressure, so like you said, reality happens. Keep the videos coming with the humility of everyday life (or that which the Golf Gods may enforce upon us otherwise!).
Yup we all have tuff days bud way to keep a positive attitude, I very much enjoyed watching you play all three days of this tournament congrats on making the cut that's an accomplishment all on it's own well done can't wait to see you in action again and thanks for the content
While you had a tough round, we certainly appreciate you sharing. Even tour pros are capable of having bad rounds so it’s certainly not unavoidable for even scratch golfers. As a mid-handicapper, I’ve had more of those rounds than you but I take them as learning experiences on dealing with adversity during the round, getting my swing back on track sooner, what parts of my game need improvement, and focusing more on the current shot rather than the crappy one I just hit. I just played a tournament on a really nice resort course and strung together 7 double bogeys (or worse) and couldn’t quite figure what was going on with my swing until the last couple holes. I was a little disappointed given the amount of practice I put in leading up to that round, but I felt like I had enough positive happen in the round not to be entirely upset. Despite the score, I’m doing something that I absolutely enjoy for 4+ hours.
I felt this in my soul, going from one of your best rounds ever to one of your worst in the span of a week is something I also did last week, haha! Gotta laugh, and take the good with the bad.
Tournament golf always adds a bit of nerves. Somedays it just doesn't go our way. Last week I played my first round of 9 holes since July and I had a about four decent holes and five crap holes but I still enjoyed being out there. I wish I had the time before the round to hit a few on the range I think it would of helped my ryhthm. But like you said you showed us the good and the bad much respect Adam!!
After that front 9 i would have skipped straight to the 19th hole and drowned my sorrows. Showed true commitment to finish that round and this is a huge learning curve. Tournament golf is TOUGH. Really enjoyable series
I was rooting for you. Sometimes it starts to snowball and all you can do is hold on. Since nothing worked today maybe you have a day coming up where everything's working.
Really like that you are putting yourself and your game all out there. Looked painful and frustrating but golf is like that and appreciate your honesty and sincerity in your channel. :) I'm sure! you'll do better next time. Great channel and your story is awesome!
Without the bad there is no good. Thank you for posting this video and congrats on making the final round. Your community enjoys watching you play no matter your score. Just remember golf is a hobby for over 99% of us…it not our job. We’re allowed suck from time to time.
Man I know you and all of us watching were hoping for better. Just one of those days as you said. A bad day golfing is better than a lot of other things :)
Sorry for the rough round but hearing your positive attitude about it makes your channel one of my favorites to watch! Keep up the great work and content. Can't wait to watch the next tournament!
Sometimes you make golf look easy but if golf was easy we'd all be on tour. Sorry it ended that way for you Adam, but thanks for sharing. You managed to capture just how unforgiving the course set up was.
Love the channel Adam!! I know how you feel. I had a similar situation last week during my club championship. First round 79 and in contention for net, but next day shot 90. Tournament pressure is different and very frustrating if things are not going your way but I commend your attitude. Keep up the great work!!
i love how real you are!! this is so relatable i hahve shot 79 then followed it with a 92.... i love watching your videos.... if you are ok with it would love to golf with you to pick your brain on certain scenarios etc....
Love these videos man! I was around an 8 index when I started watching your videos and after I watched how you managed courses I’m down to a 5.9. You’re the man Adam
Looks like overall you still had a good time at the tournament. I couldn’t agree more about some channels just showing perfect shot after shot and bragging. I’m glad you post these and keep the quality content coming!
That was kinda like how I play… It is so hard to play well when the tee clubs aren’t working! I look forward to hearing more about how you bounced back from this in the next round that you feature on the channel. Congratulations on at least making the third day!
Earlier on this year, I shot my worst round in at least 6 years. It was a 102 at a course I usually play in the high 70s. Fast forward 3 months and I shoot the best round of my life +1 (73) with a 2-under front 9. Golf is a fickle mistress lol
Waddaplayer for uploading this. A true gent. It takes balls to settle into a bad round let alone putting it out there into the world. Much love and respect, great series, can’t wait for the next one. P.S this is probably the best I could do in a tournament myself, well done for making it to the final round
Love your videos. Thanks. I would like to see more videos about tournaments, what you need to enter and how to play them in general. New golfer here and would love to work up to entering tournaments. Thanks ✌️
I'm relatively new to your channel...(found you through Golf Sidekick). But I really like it and especially your way of showing the ugly and the good on the course. Keep it up!
Honestly, it looks like a little bit of tough course for day three but also getting tired too quickly because of the range time? I still have to believe that a 94 from the tips that ends up still being a 19 differential is not a bad score at all! I'm ready to see the next multi-day tournament!
You cannot know how much better you have made a lot of aspiring golfers feel by showing a D grade game result, rather than just the games when your results are good. We all have " off " days.
Your not the first nor the last single digit hcp to blow up in a tournament, golf is hard! Congrats on making the final round, there will better days ahead, stay positive and strong
Ouch, I feel for you. Awful when you just can’t do anything right. Good attitude though and I’m sure the next comp and that mindset you will be far better.
on tuesday 7-10-23 I played with the guy who won it that year, man was he good I've never played with someone as good as him, I was paired up with him and 2 of his friends at Fraserview. I love that course my grandfather use to play that when it first opened in 1939 he would have been about 21-24 y/o
Thanks Adam- love your channel and especially the “bad” rounds. If you can normally shoot a low score but sometimes shoot a high score, maybe the reverse is true for me?
Thanks 4 posting this. I'd be curious what was going on that day w/such low expectations and then playing poorly after that do you think it was mostly focus along with the poor short game and the long approach shots on the par 3's?
Question: with the unplayable on hole 11 (or regular hole 2), wouldn't you be allowed to take back-on-the-line relief as opposed to club length relief? Seems you may have had a line to the green doing so.
Agh, I'm bummed for you. I know you wanted to build on your previous efforts. How much do you think the move to the tips affected you? Looking forward to your next round.
You suggest that Hole 12 at Fraserview (you’re 3rd hole that day) is the easiest par 5 in Vancouver. Sorry, but it is not even the easiest par 5 at Fraserview. Hole 2 is a great deal simpler. It is, at least, dead straight. But, good for you to keep going and hitting some good shots even after the wheels fell off, rolled over the cliff and crashed on the beach.
I love your vlogs! The courses are so nice I sometimes wish you would linger a bit longer on the holes because they are so nice. :) Come to the Philippines and I will host you here.
Thanks, Bob! I try to make my videos as short as possible for people who don’t have 20+ mins to watch a round. It’s a balancing act through, because I agree there are many times I’d love to show some more b-roll. Appreciate your offer! I’ve never been to the Philippines and would love to go. I’ve been thinking about going to Thailand this year so if that comes to fruition I’ll stay in touch.
imagine waking up, packing all your film equipment to the course, seeing that your paired with a smoke show, trying to impress her with the yt channel shtick, and shooting a 94! LOL

Wow. That looked painful. Really really glad that you showed the truth. You made the cut. You’re still my hero!!!
A really enjoyable series Adam.
I cant imagine playing tournament golf, let alone knowing it was going to be posted for all to see.

Boggles the mind, doesn't it? Thursday, 1 over. Sunday, 21 over. I love the reality of this channel. THIS is golf.
Thanks for showing us that even good players have days where very little goes right. You never gave in and kept fighting and you finished with all your clubs intact😁.
Man, watching this I feel your pain. We all have these rounds. You did great staying positive. You'll be back in the 70's in the next round.

Loved the fist pumping par on 15. Thanks for posting this series!
Man, I can sympathize! Shot a 75 and a 105 within two weeks of each other. A frustrating/humbling game. Continuing to enjoy the videos- keep em coming!
Glad you still posted it. Tough rounds make the good ones feel all the better. Excited to see more tourney play in the future!
Well played, since you made it to the final round! Helluva pressure, so like you said, reality happens. Keep the videos coming with the humility of everyday life (or that which the Golf Gods may enforce upon us otherwise!).

Thanks for showing the waddaplaya way

Thanks for the insight into tournament golf, Adam! And good stuff for persevering in the face of a tough round -- we've all been there. Respect mate!
I'm watching this thinking you had a really tough day and then I realise that you still shot better than I ever have 🥴
Same lol best I've hit is a 95 with a couple of mulligans
Ouch. Tournament golf😄. I feel ya. Keep them coming!!
Sometimes you make golf look easy but if golf was easy we'd all be on tour. Sorry it ended that way for you Adam, but thanks for sharing. You managed to capture just how unforgiving the course set up was.
Really enjoyed watching this. The warts and all of the game of golf!
Golf is hard! Tough day but great to see you having a great attitude throughout
Love the channel Adam!! I know how you feel. I had a similar situation last week during my club championship. First round 79 and in contention for net, but next day shot 90. Tournament pressure is different and very frustrating if things are not going your way but I commend your attitude. Keep up the great work!!
Feel for you man.. you're a better golfer than me, and this round is pretty much how I always end up with 95's
Appreciate you sharing this with us - just wait till next year!
i love how real you are!! this is so relatable i hahve shot 79 then followed it with a 92.... i love watching your videos.... if you are ok with it would love to golf with you to pick your brain on certain scenarios etc....
Love these videos man! I was around an 8 index when I started watching your videos and after I watched how you managed courses I’m down to a 5.9. You’re the man Adam
Way to keep your head up Adam. I agree with you having a bad day is a way to work on a better one.
This course looked to be in fantastic shape. Good job on the tournament man, I really found this series a lot of fun to watch!
Looks like overall you still had a good time at the tournament. I couldn’t agree more about some channels just showing perfect shot after shot and bragging. I’m glad you post these and keep the quality content coming!
Adam, I feel for you man, that must have been tough. But to see how you finished shows a lot of grit. Congrats man on making the cut!
Have to have the bad days on the course to appreciate the good ones a little more
Really enjoyed the tournament. Looking forward to more!
The Baus Playa in Chief is probably still proud!!! Golf on Bud!!!
Congrats Adam on making the cut! Sadly I missed... hope to see you out again sometime!
Ah! Well! When it goes, it goes! All the best for the next rounds!
That was kinda like how I play… It is so hard to play well when the tee clubs aren’t working! I look forward to hearing more about how you bounced back from this in the next round that you feature on the channel. Congratulations on at least making the third day!
Super nice and enjoyable videos! Congrats for being such a good sport!
Loved the series Adam! Keep up the great vids.
Earlier on this year, I shot my worst round in at least 6 years. It was a 102 at a course I usually play in the high 70s. Fast forward 3 months and I shoot the best round of my life +1 (73) with a 2-under front 9. Golf is a fickle mistress lol
It's good to know you are human 😎👍 fun experience watching for the fans!
Waddaplayer for uploading this. A true gent. It takes balls to settle into a bad round let alone putting it out there into the world. Much love and respect, great series, can’t wait for the next one.
P.S this is probably the best I could do in a tournament myself, well done for making it to the final round
Golf's a difficult sport, one day you are breaking 80 the next day you're fighting to break 100! Loved the videos man, keep up the awesome work!
This video is the honest truth of golf. No matter the hdcp we all have these days! Sometimes at the worst times, but I still love this game!
You should do a collection of all courses and best shots you have hit to recap the summer
It happens to all of us!!!! This was actually entertaining 😂. Congrats on making it to the final round regardless.
This video was GLORIOUS- I felt your pain so acutely 😂 like this was equivalent to serious moving cinema to me haha
Love your videos. Thanks. I would like to see more videos about tournaments, what you need to enter and how to play them in general. New golfer here and would love to work up to entering tournaments. Thanks ✌️

That swing is looking better and better. I feel like I’m seeing an activation of the hips.
Really like your channel man. Great content! Some days we have it and some we don't. We usually hope we have more good days!
Great series brother. Thanks for sharing!
So glad I'm not the only one that can shoot par one week and 90 the next
Enjoyed this series saw some really uncharacteristic shots out of ya still love it keep up the hard work
Good, honest video, I like your attitude even in the face of adversity.
Golf is hard! Well played over the 3 days though.
on tuesday 7-10-23 I played with the guy who won it that year, man was he good I've never played with someone as good as him, I was paired up with him and 2 of his friends at Fraserview. I love that course my grandfather use to play that when it first opened in 1939 he would have been about 21-24 y/o
Unlucky man just one of those days. I like honest people though and this is honest golf
Thanks Adam- love your channel and especially the “bad” rounds. If you can normally shoot a low score but sometimes shoot a high score, maybe the reverse is true for me?
Great attitude never give up, if your playing golf how bad can it be :-).
know it was a rough day, keep your head up. what is your index?
Great series!
Hey, I shot +23 and +3 in the span of a couple weeks so its similar to what you went through. Golf is hard, lol
Thanks 4 posting this. I'd be curious what was going on that day w/such low expectations and then playing poorly after that do you think it was mostly focus along with the poor short game and the long approach shots on the par 3's?
Unplayable lies in the woods is my forte if anyone is looking for a coach. 😍
Question: with the unplayable on hole 11 (or regular hole 2), wouldn't you be allowed to take back-on-the-line relief as opposed to club length relief? Seems you may have had a line to the green doing so.
I think that cute girl distracted you 😂. You kept your composure well in all seriousness. Happens to all of us.
Those must have been really really difficult greens, cause you are a very good putter. Tough game sometimes
Let's go!!
Agh, I'm bummed for you. I know you wanted to build on your previous efforts. How much do you think the move to the tips affected you? Looking forward to your next round.
"Everything was bad"
Still better than 95% of every subscriber 😂
You suggest that Hole 12 at Fraserview (you’re 3rd hole that day) is the easiest par 5 in Vancouver. Sorry, but it is not even the easiest par 5 at Fraserview. Hole 2 is a great deal simpler. It is, at least, dead straight.
But, good for you to keep going and hitting some good shots even after the wheels fell off, rolled over the cliff and crashed on the beach.
Oh mate. 😕
Not a good round but still better than me lol. It's so frustrating when it goes bad!
Tough day on the course is better than any day off the course.
How did you handle the videography and golf simultaneously? Was it hard to focus on you game along with the other players in your group?
Not your best day, keep your head up bud
imagine waking up, packing all your film equipment to the course, seeing that your paired with a smoke show, trying to impress her with the yt channel shtick, and shooting a 94! LOL
It's golf if it was easy everyone would be doing it well. That's not the norm you will be fine.
