Lady Refuses To Leave Public Bathroom, Police Pull Her Out

- On January 19th, 2024, officers were dispatched in regards to a male and a female refusing to leave a property. Upon the officers' request, the male complied and left, but the female did not come out of the bathroom for an hour. The woman wasn’t willing to cooperate at all and continued taking a shower. Officers had to stop the female from showering due to her stubborn behavior. Even after their repeated requests, the female was not ready to come out. Soon, she was put under arrest for trespassing. The officers assisted the woman in getting dressed, and she was soon taken to the police unit. Soon, the woman began behaving in an agitated manner. She was transported to jail for further processing. The female was charged with trespass and resisting arrest.

Some of these comments are strange. Inwas homeless for a while and had to use public showers. I had to follow the rules. I didnt get an hour or more to shower bc other people need to use them. The woman wasnt even banned. She just needed to leave for the day and could have come back another day. She still has to follow rules. An hour is plenty of time. Unfortunately, when youre homeless you dont get to be a begger and a chooser.

We live in a tourist destination a few months of the year in the summer and our small public shower, that is closed year-round until then, can be done in $2.00! Most people use more $$ though as it is one coin for a certain amount of time. Add more, longer shower.
Yes, there is a shut off for the water and also for the timer mechanism, but it has never been needed.
One hour seems excessive for any facility, my long showers are 10 minutes 😅

At the YMCA if it's just a shower with no membership it's $20 there's not really a time limit ( within reason obviously) but..they offer free showers 2x a week for the homeless ( dates and times vary)

This is a toddler in a elderly ladys body. Ive talked to children with more reasoning skills then this lady did. All she had to do was put her clothes on and leave. But she got dragged out naked and had a tantrum.

The woman is in her 80s or 90s With either cenial dementia or alztimers disease she didn't know where she was at or what she was doing and it's hard for elderly patients in the nursing home to cooperate in their 2nd childhood the woman didn't even know what she was doing so how could she cooperate she probably didn't even remember why she was arrested or even knew she was arrested. It's hard to get a person with ALTHIEZMERS to cooperate.

Whatever these Officers get paid, its not enough. The process of extracting this Woman from this business was excruciating.! Only in the U.S. do you see these long, drawn out negotiations with the public to get them to obey the law. Had this Woman been in Mexico or Vietnam,(for example), she would have immediately been removed from the premises & arrested (no dressing her, no repeated explanations, etc).

Years of abusing drugs put all of these drug users on the same frequency. It's like dealing with the same suspect over and over again when you're dealing with these people on a daily basis responding to police calls. Something about the drugs puts them all into the same frequency.

All that time they spent trying to get her and telling her to put clothes on, telling her that they would take her outside, and then when they followed through suddenly her clothes are her primary concern. It was her life choices that put her in the position she is currently in. She probably alienated everyone in her life, because of this behavior in the video. You can only help a person so much before you have to just wash your hands of them. She probably refused to get help, so there’s nothing else anyone can do. Everyone makes their own choices and some make bad ones.
Just because you’re elderly or someone’s mother, it doesn’t mean you’re above the law, or don’t have to obey the law. They can’t just walk around doing whatever they want. And yes, we are the richest country in the world, but that doesn’t mean you will have things just handed to you, and you don’t have to work for them. This woman is the kind of person who probably refused to get help. Some people like the way they feel when they’re manic or have mental illness. And just because someone acts like this woman acted, it doesn’t mean they are mentally ill. Some people are just nasty people who are just that way for no reason.
