You’re an awesome owner/operator. If I had an owner like you when I worked at McDs in high school, I might’ve stuck with it for longer. Just from your videos, I can tell how much you care about your crew
This type of stuff only happens at owner/operator McDonald's and it's incredible. It seems out of the 111 or so McDonalds in the Chicago region not a single one makes biscuits like this, all frozen then baked. It really is a nice "home cooked" touch you can add in place of making everything as fast as possible like robots.
hopefully, as we live through this neat robotics revolution; we'll tend more towards homemade things again. These biscuits probably taste way better than homogenous dough extrusions
Personally think this has no place at McDonalds. There are plentoy of independant bakerys that make buiscuits from scratch. people should go there instead of Maccas for this kind of stuff
Absolutely agreed! Nothing like this in Cleveland or anywhere nearby. The owner of the mcdonalds I worked at has 12 locations and won't pay to fix anything and its a shame I really like this mcdonalds, just goes to show that when you take pride in what you do, treat your people right and they'll never let you down
How cool you have him such a thoughtful gift, the way he explained how to make them was so kind and clear it’s obvious he cares about what he’s doing and his coworkers. Hard to find people like that anymore it feels like. 🎉❤ much deserved.
I love it when you give back to the employees! I think if more McDonald's did this the quality of the food and the retention of employees would increase.

I work at a McDonald's in Texas rn. However, back when I was still in high-school, about 6 years ago, I worked for a different one in South Carolina. At that one, they made the biscuits from scratch. I never did get to try one, but I'm sure they were delicious. I don't mind the frozen ones, but scratch made is a lot better usually. I never did learn how to make them, as I was often 5pm to 10pm. Thank you for this educational video.
You’re an awesome boss. I had a bacon; egg & cheese biscuit from Mickey D’s yesterday and it was definitely not made from scratch. I believe it was a frozen one since it didn’t fall apart and it was crunchy.
YEAH, I have had those experiences in the last few months in the Boston are McD's I visited. It's too bad, too, because the biscuits always tasted fresher and softer before at many of the same restaurants. I guess some go for the pre-made frozen ones for cost reasons these days. It's a shame because a bacon egg and cheese biscuit is one of my favorite McD's breakfasts.
@@AWWx2 It might be more of a case where they don't make enough "from scratch" biscuits and have to use frozen biscuits when they run out because making these requires them to proof for a long while before they can be baked.

They were some of my most miserable and because of their poor judgment or just not caring for making me do something they knew was dangerous I’m now permanently disabled with serious spinal damage from a work accident that’s required multiple surgeries and left me in never ending pain, I’m now unable to work the rest of my life because of this. I always strived to do my very best, was there every single time someone showed up, and busted my ass for the company yet in all my years I was passed over time and time again never once getting anything back for all I put in. Thank you for taking care of your employees and treating them like people rather than slaves. I truly wish I’d had the opportunity to work for you sir. God bless you.

You can have the best job in the world, or the worst- -what matters is how everyone treats you and how you treat everyone else. If you and your coworkers mesh well, work's easy and fun, and even on stressful shifts, the fact that you're suffering together is what eases that stress. Maybe the phrase "If you love your job you never work a day in your life" is a bit of an exaggeration, but I think there's truth in the allegory, and this video kinda proves it. You're a good man. Don't ever let life get you down.

You can also buy them. Search for rolling pin thickness guides.
