That he is. Thanks for watching. Col will be appearing on the show in various forms along with all the crew from GHD in the future so be sure to subscribe.
Thank you for mentioning honouring miss vicky and her accident and her passing she was a very special person to my family and she will be sorely missed.
It was our honour. She is a poignant reminder that all of us as bikers are vulnerable and more importantly so much more than just a statistic. Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss. R.I.P Vicki you magnificent woman.
I wish we had HD dealers like this in the states. Col is so knowledgeable and humble. Most HD dealers in the states are owned by very large corporations and they dont give a sh!t about the customer.
Hey @teewhy2602 thanks for watching. Trust us, dealers like Col are few and far between here too, but we do notice that the Independent Dealers still have a passion to provide a great customer experience. We will do our best to support them, as they support our lifestyle. 👍🏻
Definitely appreciate you watching and your comment @perchlor123. This was a fun one to make but to be honest we were worried it’s length would scare people off. It was a marathon show for us, but with so much going on it just morphed into what it is. I think that star is some way off, but we will give it a crack. 👍🏻
Great episode boys, loved it. Condolences go out to those families who lost their loved ones, touches all of us who love to ride. How awesome is Col, opening up his private space, he is one he'll of a nice guy. Keep up the great effort, it's absolutely fantastic viewing the laughter and banter and the info on what events are happening - priceless guys, hope to run into you too around the traps one day on my fatboy.... 👊😎👊
Hey thanks for watching, yes it was good of Col to open up his collection for us to view and even better that he walked us through them with passion. Glad you enjoy the show, we have a great time making it. As you probably know the Fatty is my favourite Harley so you have my ( Whitey) tick of approval there. I think they are the quintessential Harley. Plenty of opportunities to catch up coming up so don’t be a stranger, we are always happy to meet new Flogs! 👍
As for the grey gum Cafe what a brill spot on an absolute brill road in Australia kudos to the proprietary owners my 2 visits were excellent and I'm still planning rides thru this area due to the cafe. Cheers
Thanks another good one. Like yourselves I send my condolences to all our colleague friends and family who have lost their lives riding bikes; I also agree with you in supporting Bikes Cafes etc. Over here in the UK one of our Cafes were prosecuted by the heath authorities for finding rats in their kitchen. They received a £10,000 fine. Its not surprising given there is a car wash close by. Thankfully rather than condemn them we all still go there to show our support. Stay safe out there.
Hey 2wheels, couldn't agree more, seems councils are more happy top tear a small business down rather than help them overcome issues. Tinpot Politicians. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
An original foot clutch on a Harley isn’t a suicide clutch, oem lock via a cam and stay disengaged without a foot on them, a suicide clutch has no cam and needs to be held down otherwise it springs back and engages, easier to use on the move but not so much when stopped, specially on a hill without a front brake (and in neutral) which is still legal in some USA states and why they got called that.
Hey thanks for watching. I have now idea about the subject of ‘suicide clutches but am very keen to learn more and maybe ride a bike with one. What an experience that’ll be. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. 👍🏻
@@hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs There's probably some video's on here but most get confused between a jockey shift, oem foot clutch and suicide clutch, a jockey shift you know is under your butt but suicide clutch is pretty much like a hand lever mounted down where you foot is, it's often just the oem one with the rear bit cut off and the mechanism removed and is either engaged or disengaged there's no cam or over centre spring to hold it disengaged much like a sidestand is held up which free's up your left foot (right on a vintage Indian) they're not so bad if you have a front brake but in some USA states you don't have to have one and the ever so long challenge to clean up the looks of custom bikes they built and rode them as such... Imagine stopping on a hill (facing up, down not so bad as you can roll) you can't hold the clutch pedal in and brake on as both feet are off the ground, the only way was to have your foot on the brake and be in neutral then quickly clutch in, reach down and smash it into gear and release the clutch without falling over which was a circus act worth a centre ring, the invent of lock up clutch's made it easy, just leave it in gear, twist the throttle and go... It shows just how lost harley corporate is. Their company is ALL about the history. Having dealerships that are able and willing to have a bunch of old models on show should be encouraged not frowned upon. A corporate marketing officer that probably doesn't ride or even like motorcycles, thinks it should be new models or current marketing material only. Where us (their customer base that actually rides and buys harleys, would by far and away in every single way shape and form, rather see the old bikes and history) And like you guys said, it's a drawing point. Where else can a person go and see a mint condition 1920's anything in person.
Hey thanks for watching. Couldn't agree with you more. I would much rather go in and basically get a history lesson in Harley than some staged photos of HOG riders. Once again, they are simply looking in the 'Marketing Managers Handbook' and not thinking IMHO.
Right on the mark for the Geelong bikes on display.Hog photos...yeah,nah.Col making a compromise, huge poster size photos of circuit/hill climb/ drag bikes.Build a VR1000 replica for display.
Col reminds me a lot of Bricktop from the movie Snatch :) He even has the similar attitude especially when he deals with Million Dollars Bogdan! LOL...
