And that’s why we love independent stores ( especially GHD) Dean. You walking through the door is appreciated, unlike at the corporates where We often feel we are imposing. Many of them could learn a lot from GHD.
Hey thanks for watching. Plenty more chance to see Col and all the team from GHD in future. We look forward to his ‘Col’isms’ every time we head to GHD.
Great video guys, Col is an absolute gem - there wouldn't be many of his calibre left, genuine , passionate and a wealth of knowledge. Get a tyre on the back of that fatboy whitey lol. Keep up the great work boys, absolutely love watching your vids. 👊😎👊
I wish my dealership would work as thoroughly as Col and the team at Geelong HD do. That Col lets us in on the service and explains the details is priceless! Thank you, guys. Great presentation.
100% Col is great and a wealth of knowledge. We are wrapped to have him working with us. He will be back very soon with more maintenance tips and secrets. Thanks for your support we genuinely appreciate it. 👍
The service manual says you can use diesel motor oil (twin cam). I've been using Shell Rotella T for the last 60k miles (not km). $19 per gallon jug. I use an oil extraction pump into a 5 gallon bucket and change the oil every 3k miles. I change the oil filter every other oil change, and the primary every other change. Change the plug o-ring every third change.
Thank you guy’s I have a 21 model ROad Glide & bought it new & love it hope to see on the road keep up the great show, oh your patch I bought is awesome cheers Mick

Even as a non Harley rider I enjoyed this. Only problem is that Col makes it look so to do. If only I had his skills. Also learnt to just pull my clutch in when at lights or junction. Great video lads. Summer here in the UK but its disappearing too quickly for me.
Hey thanks for watching. I guess about 50 plus years working on bikes will do that to you. Col is definitely very skilled and great at explaining the ins and outs of what he does. We will definitely be doing more ‘Lessons’ in this series.
Hey Ryan thanks for watching. We all agree that changing oil regularly is the best insurance you can buy. Amsoil isn’t a brand we see a lot of down here, but I figure if you change it often enough the brand doesn’t matter quite as much.
@@hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs I always used Amsoil in my twin cam but switched to Red Line in M8.I buy oil from eBay as I live in country QLD. I use a specialist oil company as HD would tender for the lowest to fill it.
@@hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs One thing is I am now an Australian-made oil supporter. Penrite 20w50 Full Synthetic Racing oil with Red Line V-Twin Primary and Gear oil.
I always adjust my clutch at a service and if you don't know how you shouldn't be changing the oil either. I use synthetic gearbox and primary oil, not 20w50 motor oil.
I’ll be honest Jimmy, I’ve always changed my own oil and never adjusted the clutch, which now seems ridiculous because it isn’t that hard and you already have the Derby cover off so access isn’t an issue. Because it appears so easy to incorporate it will now be part of every oil change. Hey, thanks for watching, we appreciate it.
