Enjoy your tutorials and patterns! Very easy to follow and easy step by step instructions! Thank You Donna & Your Hubby for all that you do to make our sewing journey Pleasant!! Happy Valentines’s Day!
You are the Queen of quilt panels. I've always avoided them but now I'm going to make a couple wall hangings using your ideas. And boy are you organized when you cut the fabric!... Lol... I wish I lived near your store and could take your classes. Thanks for the videos.
I would never have picked the blue for the lavender flower, but it turned out beautiful. the Border was not what I would have done either. Your time in the bathtub is an amazing creative time. thank you for sharing
Another well-done and beautiful tutorial. I've been seeing these panels on many sites, but was never quite sure what I might like to do with one. This was a wonderful idea...thank you!!! Just a thought, do you ever have an idea that doesn't turn our well, or make a mistake in cutting or sewing? Maybe a short "blooper" video would be fun. But then again, your fan base would never believe you aren't PERFECT !!!!!!
I really like the deeper colors better than the pastels. Both are beautiful but I prefer the deeper one. You are amazing at designing quilts and sewing them. You have the perfect space with those huge tables, cutting mats, and ironing boards. Great job Donna. 🤗🤗🤗
I just recently discovered your website & video series here on RUclips. I'm 69 years old & a fairly new quilter (3 1/2 years at it), so am continuing to learn this amazing craft. Your video on the Transitions quilt was very helpful, as I had bought the pattern 6 months ago, but was having trouble deciphering the instructions. I am more of a visual learner, so this video was extremely beneficial & I can't wait to make this quilt now. Would love to visit your store one day, but I'm a customer for life now...bought some fabric & a pattern from you a couple of days ago. You guys are awesome!
You Jordans astound me, Donna! When do you all rest? That was a beautiful tutorial from the fabric selections to the video quality. Thank you to all for such incredible inspiration!!
love your videos! I've learned a lot of really useful techniques from watching them. I would love it if you would do a full video of machine quilting from beginning to end! I know it would be really long, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would be interested in watching it!
Your talent amazes me. Every time I watch one of your videos I feel inspired to “make”. I never know what I’ll make next but that little push of inspiration I get from you is just what I need. Thank you so much for that. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Oh my goodness! Donna, you must be a math genius! I absolutely love this quilt, but I always love your quilts. This one, however, is the best one ever! Thank you for your hard work, I really enjoy your videos.
I lived in Grants Pass for 17 years. Wish I was still there just so I could shop at your store!! Your methods and teaching techniques are amazing. Love watching these videos. Thanks for sharing them.
I have watched several of your videos and I love them!! One of your video you used a hand weight. I had never thought about using one. So, I tried and it is the best thing since sliced bread!!! Thank you
As always your so inspirational..I have a panel all ready to start...the main Accent fabric has all been cut just waiting for my fabric to arrive and I shall be ready....I know I will keep referring to this video as its so easy to follow...thanks again Donna....
Oh Donna! I love that quilt! both of them! I have 2 panels of 2 different color Peacocks, one with green and one with blue. Boy, I have got some idea's now! Thank you so much for the free patterns! XO
I would love that georgeous flower quilt on top of my bed. It is just beautiful. U really do have an eye for color. I love how you finished it. I have several handmade quilts that my mom made. I cherish them and will pass down to my children. She also crocheted a spread that is just beautiful. I can remember it on her bed when I was a child. I'm 77 now. Just found you tonight.
I've done one of these panels, as is, but adding this border is gorgeous. Donna, you are so creative! I wonder if it would help the rest of us to switch from showers to baths. lol
I have to tell you that I believe the pieced border brought the whole project together! Not that I didn't love it before...Lol Great job, awesome quilt!
Wow, I really like this idea. Simple but beautiful. The pastel colours are so beautiful, but also really like the darker colours. You are a wonderful quilter. I love watching your tutorials, have learned so much from you. Thank You 🇨🇦
Thank you for the great idea in which to use the panel. I bought it several months ago because it was so beautiful, but was stuck thinking my only option was to frame it and use it as a picture. Nice to have another option!!!
A really beautiful pattern. The pin system was a great way to organise all the strips. The difference between the two panel quilts was amazing which just shows how colours can change the look of the same item. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Thanks again Donna for an absolutely wonderful tutorial. You have shared some fantastic organisational sewing tips for the quilt which makes it look simple to keep in the perfect sewing order. The concept of the jelly roll border for the panel is just brilliant. Best wishes, Jess
You are the best teacher very clear.I have watched videos for quilt's for sometime and by far you are the best.. Thankyou so much for sharing!!! I can't tell you enough.....
I love that you posted this. I have some panels that I really like and have been holding off doing anything with them and now I can see how to make a plan to work with them. What you showed us here means that we need to plan the colorway and to piece something that directs the eyes to the panel, and also to help reshape the design so we get the size quilt we like. Example - I don't like square quilts and you took a square panel and created a rectangle quilt. I've seen those very same panels in quilt shops and didn't buy them..because they were squares. That's not very creative or open minded of me hehe. On a rectangle border I could use the same approach you did, except add the pieced bits all the way around. Love it, thanks again Donna!
Wow, both versions are wonderful. I always love to see how you do things as well. I always learn something new from you. I always use a weight now when I’m cutting longer pieces of fabric. I like how you pinned them together to sew and then reversed the pin to just slide the pieces off. I will definitely use that trick!! Thanks a bunch!
Love the look of the pieced top and bottom sections with the tiny accent. Honestly, that method would look super cute in a twin size quilt where the center of the quilt was a solid rectangle the same size as the top of the mattress, and those pieced wavy sides were the side drop on either long side of the mattress, especially for a boy's room. It's so hard to make older boy quilts due to fabric and patterns often being more girly or too childish.
I loved this tutorial! I had purchased one of these panels and had a different idea to use. I ran across this tutorial and went WOW! Just finished in the wee hours this morning. I can hardly wait to quilt and then used your video on flanged bindings I just watched!! Thank you so much for all your tips, ideas, and tutorials.
Thank you for the wonderful idea. I have a panel with a butterfly I bought for my daughter and this will be a great way to make it into a throw quilt for her birthday!
Thank you for the excellent ideas. I have done only basic simple quilts but after watching this video I feel more confident and I would like to attempt a quilt like this one. Stunning effect
I was not real thrilled when I saw the pieced jelly roll attached. I thought “meh, ok”....Then you added that blue....wow..brought it together fabulously!! 😍
This was an amazing project!! It has given me ideas to work with the “Peacock” panel you have. I really want to make this for a Queen bedspread, just not sure how to put it together. Thanks again for all your wonderful Tutorials for us to learn from. 💜
Great job again Donna! I have this panel in the darker shades. I didn't know what to do with it until now. I can't wait to try your pattern. Thank you again for all of your wonderful tutorials. I only wish I lived close to your shop as I would love to visit. (I'm in Pittsburgh PA.)
Donna you are amazing! I love panels but never purchase them because I have know idea of what to do with them! Thank you so much. I'm going to purchase the the more purple panel for my friend, she will love it.
This is SUPERWOMAN!!! Seriously the most organized. I watched and was amazed by how fast it goes when you are this organized and only wish to be that good. Im in awe. That is a gorgeous panel. Its rare to find one that looks like a piece of art. Good, well actually great and amazing. She always is and the photographer knowssssss what to do very well. Good job you!!!!
I made this for my granddaughter and she loved it.

I like this. It seems like saving time because of the bigger piece, and its SO pretty.
Your talent amazes me. Every time I watch one of your videos I feel inspired to “make”. I never know what I’ll make next but that little push of inspiration I get from you is just what I need. Thank you so much for that. Happy New Year to you and your family.
At first I couldn't figure out where you were going with cutting up all the strips. What a beautiful result!
Donna your color choices are beautiful. They just blend so well with each other. Thanks for another goody tutorial.

Yep, I'm impressed with sewing the stack, as well. Very clever! Hope I remember that later! Thanks for the inspiration..
