    Another well-done and beautiful tutorial. I've been seeing these panels on many sites, but was never quite sure what I might like to do with one. This was a wonderful idea...thank you!!! Just a thought, do you ever have an idea that doesn't turn our well, or make a mistake in cutting or sewing? Maybe a short "blooper" video would be fun. But then again, your fan base would never believe you aren't PERFECT !!!!!!

    I really like the deeper colors better than the pastels. Both are beautiful but I prefer the deeper one. You are amazing at designing quilts and sewing them. You have the perfect space with those huge tables, cutting mats, and ironing boards.
    Great job Donna. 🤗🤗🤗

    I just recently discovered your website & video series here on RUclips. I'm 69 years old & a fairly new quilter (3 1/2 years at it), so am continuing to learn this amazing craft. Your video on the Transitions quilt was very helpful, as I had bought the pattern 6 months ago, but was having trouble deciphering the instructions. I am more of a visual learner, so this video was extremely beneficial & I can't wait to make this quilt now. Would love to visit your store one day, but I'm a customer for life now...bought some fabric & a pattern from you a couple of days ago. You guys are awesome!

    I love that you posted this. I have some panels that I really like and have been holding off doing anything with them and now I can see how to make a plan to work with them. What you showed us here means that we need to plan the colorway and to piece something that directs the eyes to the panel, and also to help reshape the design so we get the size quilt we like. Example - I don't like square quilts and you took a square panel and created a rectangle quilt. I've seen those very same panels in quilt shops and didn't buy them..because they were squares. That's not very creative or open minded of me hehe. On a rectangle border I could use the same approach you did, except add the pieced bits all the way around. Love it, thanks again Donna!

    Wow, both versions are wonderful. I always love to see how you do things as well. I always learn something new from you. I always use a weight now when I’m cutting longer pieces of fabric. I like how you pinned them together to sew and then reversed the pin to just slide the pieces off. I will definitely use that trick!! Thanks a bunch!

  • @Ronibearable
    @Ronibearable 5 лет назад +3

    Love the look of the pieced top and bottom sections with the tiny accent. Honestly, that method would look super cute in a twin size quilt where the center of the quilt was a solid rectangle the same size as the top of the mattress, and those pieced wavy sides were the side drop on either long side of the mattress, especially for a boy's room. It's so hard to make older boy quilts due to fabric and patterns often being more girly or too childish.
