Fantastic video Daniel for those of us who found ourselves born on the edge of pathological family disfunction, now trying to climb back towards a safe place of healing and clarity so we can finally be our true selves outside of the madness!!
Listtening to this, I found myself literally blowing of relief, like you do at times, Daniel. I feel so crazy most of the time, trying to walk that path, alone, loosing track sometimes of my purpose. Watching this video, I feel something inside nodding, saying "take courage". The projection I integrated of me, beeing a failure shows me actually now how scared of my true self my parents and teachers were.
Anymore, therapists won't let people talk about past traumas. They say it isn't necessary. But to me, everyone has a story and they need that other human being to help them explore and to come to terms with their past. From now on if a therapist controls therapy sessions I'm not going back.
Yes and that goes for a family's, a nation's entire history. Let's not talk about the Vietnam War and the thousands of severely traumatized vets because then people might realise that that is being repeated over and over, that our police forces are now people's with return, traumatized soldiers on psychiatric medications, because then we might stop the cycle. We might begin to see that a great deal of trauma is caused by the stress of the society in which we live. Gabor Maté discusses the stress of the capitalist society which causes mental illness. Therapists feed off of trauma. No trauma, no therapists, no psych med industry.
So grateful for your videos! Thank you for living on the edge and inspiring me to do the same. I just can’t walk around dead and blind to reality, like my parents and brothers. I’ve tried and I just can’t. This path is difficult and painful but the alternative. Living a numbed out split off superficial life is just not in the cards for me. I just can’t do it. I want to grow and be alive like you Daniel. Please keep up this important work of living on the edge! Thank you 🙏🏼 Thank you 🙏🏼 Thank you 🙏🏼 ⭐️❤⭐️💛⭐️💙⭐️💚⭐️🧡
You bring tears to my eyes, thank you, timing is perfect,.. I wonder why I take myself to this edge?, when it is sometimes hell, As I pick myself off the floor yet again. You explain the process so well. Growth is amazing.... And it is "a connected growth" , and affects all relationships. Our inner relationship with ourselves is not always clear, it is a journey, I do like to challenge myself. I love your videos. I think we can all agree you help many of us.! Keep it up. 🙏😊
Riiiight! Love your thoughts and feelings here. The edge is just pure heaven and hell! But some of us are just truth oriented and that is our only choice really.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those whose spirits have been crushed. (Psalms 34:18) Our hearts ache, but at the same time we have the joy of the Lord. (2 Cor. I will never leave you and will never abandon you. (Hebrews 13:15)
Thanks for expressing this dilemma! Very familiar with the edge which I sum up as outsider or insider perspective. Insiders have it easier but I believe outsiders see what being human really is. Once you've become conscious there's no going back anyway...a blessing really! I get so much from your 'edgy' videos, Daniel 😊
Daniel, thank you for your work! I (and i think we all) really appreciate it :) Would you call this "edge" similar to doing "shadow work"? I've heard of that concept and it seems similar
Hi Daniel I enjoy your videos very much and look forward to each new one. I particularly liked your bit at the end that emphasizes why you put yourself on the edge, as motivation is key. Some self help advice can seem like doing something just because it is ‘good for you’, comes across as parent like and controlling.
“The Edge...There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others-the living-are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later. But the edge is still Out there.” ~ Hunter S. Thompson
You make perfect sense to me..why not try to be the best "you" that you can be.when all the shit that we surround ourselves with finally breaks down that's when we realise that the only person we have is ourselves...any psychiatrist will tell you most adult difficulties in life stem from unresolved childhood trauma...I think what you are doing is magnificent and I urge you to keep doing it...run for president at the end..all the very best to you.
Blessings to the brave ones.. Great as always, Daniel 🙏✨✨✨🤗💕🤗💕💕💕 Wt did say The Bible and Jesus Christ about Family?.. Got why those words?... Ahhhhh...!!!! Yesss....
I don't understand what is going on in my SUBCONSCIOUS mind.... I have PTSD, anxiety disorder which affects every aspects of my life... It's something that's mysterious...
One night i dreamed that there was a conference and they were interviewing Lebron James and they asked him something about how come he's so successful and how does he takes the edge off things for himself? Lebron makes one of his serious faces and responds by shaking his head: YOU DON'T LOSE THE EDGE!
Any chance you’ll make a video addressing any of the current news about protests and riots? I imagine police brutality is ripe territory for psychological investigation
May I say something about it? In principle, I have a particular interest in discussing police brutality, as I've experienced it. On the other hand, the cases of police brutality during ongoing events are subject to what Arthur Conan Doyle called: It is fatal to draw conclusions before you've gathered the information. I'm reading media outlets like the OffGuardian (political left) and Gonzalo Lira (politial right), and they both suggest that many of the protest events we hear about are covered dishonestly. Hence I support Mackler discussing police brutality in general.
Jung's incorporating one's shadow. Aye we're the "lucky" few who actually know what that was all about. Worth the journey come all along eh? The truth shall set us free. xxx
Walk 10'000 steps every day, drink no caffeine, wake at 5AM every morning, watch a good movie, eat foods low or high in L-Tryptophan. Sleep well because its nice to sleep peacefully. 😊👍 Edit. Drive for 9 hours. Have a hot bath. Watch a good relaxing movie. Cuddle your gf. Make love. Sleep well.
I believe that every each one of us, is walking on his OWN edge. We are all doing our best. Yes, continue on your path but avoid to consider yourself as superior or inferior : we are all equal, free, beautiful, true NXXXXXS* before GOD & GOOGLE's censorship ( that i am currently testing: TEST n°2 )( (*): the WORD THAT CAN NOT BE WRITTEN )

This is really good to listen to as the child who escaped the family cult and walked away from my parents to heal.

Those who walked over the edge and found the hidden treasures, hail to you 🙆🌞

You are an impressive human being.
And we thank you for sticking to your truth. 💛💫🙏🏼
Real recognizes real. Don't stop. Anyone looking for comfort secretly desires stagnation
You inspire me 💜 Thanks for sharing your thoughts! They are valuable indeed. 🧡

Just had a discussion about this with my best friend oddly enough, I do go to that edge, oftentimes to confront my trauma.
Amen, brother
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those whose spirits have been crushed. (Psalms 34:18)
Our hearts ache, but at the same time we have the joy of the Lord. (2 Cor.
I will never leave you and will never abandon you. (Hebrews 13:15)
since I been in therapy, I been more self aware. I been studying my unconscious more. So I can be more conscious again.
Spot on Daniel! Keep walking that edge!!
The path less travelled
Amen ✨
Good on you!!
Friends also label one person the one on the edge,

Timing perfect having run back to my family during this pandemic
Healing is not easy to do.
Not at all... especially with little support, help, or recognition from others.
Everywhere you go there you gotta be who you are.
