I was just sitting there waiting for the movie to rip my heart out. Because I heard it made people cry. I thought it would be the ending. But no, it was towards the middle. The moment Bright Bill takes off with his flock and Ros’s task complete indicator gives the last check mark, she takes off running after him. Long Neck brings the flock back over so she can see Bright Bill one more time. The music swells, and the tears start falling. This scene was so powerful because in that moment of realization that she wouldn’t be caring for Bright Bill anymore, that her job was done, she didn’t want it to be. She didn’t understand how much she felt for him. And I, as an audience member didn’t realize how much I cared. But in that moment, all of the emotions hit Roz hard. And the audience feels the same impact at the same exact time. That is so impressive. This film set out to make us feel. And it didn’t just succeed, it exceeded expectations. I am blown away by it. This will be one of my most remembered movie experiences.

I personally thought Kung Fu Panda 4 was a very good even great movie. Sure it's the weakest and it's not without flaws. The pacing is rushed, the past villains are under-utilized and there were some good scrapped concepts but several positives are overlooked apart from the action and comedy. The theme of embracing change was really engaging, Zhen added a fresh dynamic to the movie and I love the Furious Five to death but I will say that it's good the movie decided to take a break from the formula of "Po and Five teaming up to face another villain". Just that redemption was rushed and cliched. Chameleon is also misunderstood. She has a lot of interesting parallels to Po - backstory, being a mentor, theme of change, etc. I personally was pleasantly surprised because I had low expectations. I can understand disappointment but people are treating the movie as if it's the first sequel to disappoint audience. There have been so many disappointing fourthqueels before. Then people are also treating Chameleon as the worst DreamWorks villain I mean they do have amazing villains like Ramesses and Death but they have a list of 20+ bad or mediocre or good villains that are weaker than Chameleon.
