I've been wanting this case since I first heard about it a couple of months ago. I'm glad to see its finally been released and more people are doing reviews on it. I want it so bad, but I also love my fractal north! For sure, I'm going with another proart build when 15th gen comes out, and I"m for sure getting this case and also the proart AIO.
I was lucky I had just placed the order for my fractal north when I noticed this was finally available... I was thankfully able to cancel in time. The proart aesthetic is just top notch.
@@DJPixcell Yeah its great! I am worried about the performance of the ProArt aio though. While it looks so minimal, clean and nice, the performance just doesn't seem that great for how much it costs from what I've seen in videos reviewing it. So when I do a build with the PA602, I still don't know if I will be going with the Proart lc 420 aio.
@@Yukeena funny I just mentioned that on my own comment. It's visually very nice and works with the build but the price/performance/features just don't add up. I might settle with an air cooler honestly. Too many liquid coolers are so flashy it's not what I'm looking for lol
@@DJPixcell I feel you. I don't like my builds to be too flashy either. I want more of an elegant look to my builds and too much RGB is corny imo. The only RGB I really like is on my RAM and even then I turn the brightness down quite a bit. RGB on a cooler can be nice too if done right (like the lc 420 for example). But yeah I'm more of an air cooler kind of guy. I have a Noctua NHU12A Chromax with brown vibration corners, and it looks so clean. I wonder how that cooler would look in the pa602.

About two years ago I built my first new PC in a few years, and I went deep into RGB; fans, ram, vid card, etc. I'm still into the RGB trip, it just works for me right now, but when the time comes to do a new build, it'll be Pro Art. I should have recovered from my RGB addiction by then.
This might be my next build. I’m over the RGB & software to control it all. I want a simple PC with power without all the lights. Or I’ll just build a rack mounted PC.
I'm just glad someone is finally making high end components that look classy. I just ordered the 4080 Super Pro Art and I'll likely get the Pro Art mobo too. I like this case, but I still think I'll go with the Fractal North. Tired of all the 14 yo's wet dream RGB EPIC GAMER aesthetic on everything.
Yea I personally dislike rgb too, much prefere the classy beautiful look which blends with office. The only place I want rgb is on my keyboard, but only because I dont see what im writing in the dark lol! Ditched the mouse with rgb’s completily.
I built a Z890 with a Core Ultra 9 285 and RTX 4090 (3 slots high), and the GPU is held firmly in place with no sagging or unaligned setting with the 3 point clip instead of screws. The massive sagging Clip (for the GPU) is really heavy duty, and I love that it's built in to the case. I really needed that for my ASUS ROG RTX4090 STRIX GPU. I am one of those few gamers who considers RGB a massive waste of life. Why look at a ridiculous cabinet disco, when you can spend your time gaming instead. I remember when I got swept away by the ASUS "RGB hell", and the Corsair iCUE / Armory Crate, and the AURA module for making all sorts of beautiful patterns with RGB and even theming them to my games. But slowly I found out how much time I wasted configuring the RGB lights I liked instead of doing the two things I love the most: content creating and gaming. I love the pure black fans with no lights. And should I buy a 420 radiator with RGB light for my AIO (I have a 360 AIO that is more than sufficient as it actually fills the opening in the top except for one inch. The 420 fans are actually hidden in both ends under the lip in the top frame, so the airflow gained from a 420 radiator is miniscule. In fact I like to have that 1 inch gap in the end of my Radiator as it leaves a little room for airflow should the radiator fail and that gives a few seconds more before the cooling goes away. I absolutely love this case and it is by far the most silent case even compared to some watercooled Corsar 5000X and 7000D I had before and a humungous LianLi I forgot the name of. The only thing I actually hear (much to my dismay) all day long in my office is my 10x 20TB ASUSTOR RAID storage (5 x 20TBx2/RAID 0 STORAGE disks, as Media Server, Several times a day Primary Backup solution). That thing on the other hand drives me crazy, as the fans in the ASUSTOR is definitely not throttled at all. They just run at max from start to finish. So I actually am considering looking for some better quality fans for that, but now I'm getting side-tracked. The conclusion is that I find that this cabinet is by far the most well made V1 I have ever seen. And damn I love the LED-free design - and even then I can't totally get rid of the RGB as the ASUS ROG RTX 4090 insist on running a disco inside my cabinet by default. So my only use for my iQIUE is to set my GPU lights to a static dimmed red and my pump header to a temperature readout as that is actually practical. Aside from that I only use iQUE for macros for my keyboard and the occasional color change on my keys to remind me what keys to use for specific games, in Davinci Resolve, etc. So this is my favourite case of all my cases, and I consider getting the same case for my two other production machines, simply to get that repetitive aesthtics and get rid of my Corsair 5000X cabinets. Thank you for the review. Now I forgot if you actually mentioned, but I love the fact that I could mount huge rubber office chair wheels directly into the cabinet. It looks cool and it is wonderful to be able to roll your computer in and out from under the table when you want to do something on the back or in the cabinet. Another feature I forgot if you mentioned was the bottom dust filter (towards the floor). Many other cabinets have that, but usually you have to pull that out from the backside of the cabinet. I simply LOVE the fact that I can just pull it straight out from the front that is turned towards me when I look at the computer. No getting the computer all the way out from the wall to pull the bottom filter out. Now I can just take them out from the front, which made me wonder why that hasn't been the de facto standard for decades. Hmmm... So as you can hear - I am possibly even more in love than you. But you also get to see so many more cabinets than I do. I may have had 20 computers that I built myself, so my sample is a lot smaller than yours, but given the fact that I have always bought the absolute top tier cases and this is far from the most expensive case I've had (that was of course LianLi), I have a fine selection for comparison, and this is the winner, at least now that I'm past 50yo and put little emphasis on showing off my RGB art installation to all my friends.
I was going to do a full proart build in a fractal north but when I seen this release I obviously had to do it. What I'm pretty bummed about is the AIO.. visually looks great but the performance was disappointing given its price. Plus the led display seems pretty lacuster given its price as well, I understand they are going for minimal but simple white led matrix would have been something cool to see especially given their own other options from Asus do offer this at around the same price.
Just finished my new build with the PA602 case. It's a great case with some tiny issues. 1. Mounting the AIO radiator is inconvenient; you need to remove the arena holder first. 2. The misalignment with the GPU back bracket makes it a joke to advertise "Tool-free Graphics Card Slot Clamp for Effortless Installation." It is a good idea but just terribly engineered. 3. I mounted 4 wheels to the case, and removing the foot pads is not effortless. 4. The indicator LED for the dust detection sensor is off by default. I don't know if the sensor is working or deactivated. It's like a Schrodinger's sensor; I will probably get the answer when enough dust is accumulated.
I have a ProArt 4070ti. I like the minimalist look to it. Also temps are great. I think this proves that those humongous beefy coolers aren't really needed on modern GPUs. It's just another reason for AIBs to charge more for something that isn't needed in the first place. Regarding the case, I like the concept of it but it's just way too big and expensive of a case. I have a Lian Li 011 Air Mini and while honestly it's not the best in terms of fan size options when using an ATX sized mobo, it does have really good temps with all the airflow, but on the downside my case does get a TON of dust in it. I find myself having to dust it out about every 2 weeks. Overall I think if Asus made a smaller version of this case and made it in the $100-$120 range I would buy it.
I bought this case because I loved the simple theme. My only complaint is that the LED color on the pump/water block combo cannot be changed, only turned off.
As a cat owner still using a Corsair Air 740 and a former HAF X owner, I'd consider the Asus ProArt PA602, a possible upgrade option, but I'd love to see a cubified version, more akin to the Air 740 with a wider foot print, where the PSU and hard drives are located in a side compartment with proper ventilation to keep air moving over the hard drives. FWIW I have 3 3.5 storage drives in my AIR 740. I attached a Noctua 92mm fan to the HDD cage with VHB tape, to keep the drives cool, along with another Noctua 92mm attached to the back grill to pull the air out of the compartment containing the HDD’s and PSU.
It does not make sense testing CPU temp while using AIO cooling to compare cases. The AIO would only reduce horizontal wind pressure and the special front fans would not reach expected performance.
We tested the chassis with both air cooling ( Noctua and ) AIO based cooling overall performance is comparable. 72C CPU with NH-D15 61.9C GPU This is with Z790 Creator, 13900K and ProArt 4080 CPU was at 180W GPU was at 300W 66 CPU with ProArt 420 AiO cooler 64.2C GPU Also keep in mind pure measurement of CPU temperature is only only factor as only conveying this point does not actually clearly communicate a performant advantage. You can have a cooler that allows for a higher disipation level that is allowing for higher boost clocks or sustained clocks and sees a nominal increase in temp but is actually a better cooler. To correctly account for this you would need to lock frequency and then compare.
Finally a proper review of this mighty case. It seems that much cheaper cases (Lancool 216, Lancool 2 Mesh P, Phanteks G500 P, Montech Air 903 Max) have much better thermals. Its looks is terrific though.
Looks like a great case. I wish the Type-A front I/O ports were a bit faster (10Gbps) I think the ProArt logo on the dust filter would be nicer if it was gold instead of Black. I don’t know if its possible ( in any case) but option to front mount the 420mm AIO or keep the 2 x 200mm fans Lastly, this case isn’t BTF or advanced BTF compatible, like ASUS announced for other cases at CES 2024 😢
Do you know which manufacturer makes the fans that are included in this case, and the specific model number? I'm going to look up the specs. If I buy this case, I wonder about replacing them with Noctua, but on second thought the existing fans may be better spec'd for static pressure.
you used the perfect word "FANS", Asus and the ProArt series totally neglected 3d modelers, sculptors and animators, the RTX4080 is not good enough for us and the RTX4090 is a MUST have for us, the ProArt MB only offers Wi-Fi 6 while the Aeorus and even the cheap MSI MAG Tomahawk offers Wi-Fi 7, and this case as all the other ProArt series overpriced taking in account the Antec Performance 1 ft is much cheaper and with same quality and will say probably better performance and workflow, we also saw in CES2024 the new MSI cases that are much more appealing than this case, the ProArt series is more about aesthetics than performance I believe, because for high end developers ended being short because the GPU limitations and game developers and 3d artist do not need at all as many thunderbolt ports neither as many M2 slots, plus even the cheap Tomahawk offers 4 M2 slots, at that end working with UE5, houdini, Blender, 3dCoat, Iclone etc, using motion capture and lip sink, you will want to run a NAS, I will say except for the ROG strix 4090 I do not use any other Asus component because in terms of performance and value per price all the other brands offers better products. Then I totally agree with the title "FANS", the high end MB ROG Maximus is a pain and a headache, gives you problems running with 4 RAM sticks at tull RAM capacity is very picky in terms of which RAM brand you use and is a pain to set up with overclocking for a MB over 500 almost $600 MB with just Wi-Fi 6 with many driver issues I really can not see how Aus justify their overpriced products.
I think they skipped out on wifi 7 because they figure a "professional" isn't going to use wifi, they are going to use gigabit ethernet. I agree with you on the 4090. I'm not sure why they haven't released a ProArt 4090 since that is going to be the GPU that most serious creators are going to want to use.
@@NonLegitNation2 big animation projects and long video editing will us a NAS storage system and you use wifi in the NAS unless you want to wire all PCs in the red with the NAS, but you are right is not a MUST have, but the price could be nice if they add it.
@Robeytech Live Are there any handles to be found on the top of this case? XDA did a review of it and claim that there are two metal handlebars for moving the case, but I can't find mention of them anywhere else, or see any indication of them in pics.
@@taomahNEGEV 200mm fans dont all have standard mounting points hence why Noctua for example has multiple spacings on their fan. Either way depending on the case it doesn't guarantee compatibility, that's why if Asus is going to provide a case like this they should also sell replacement fans.
Just have to point something out, as i made few custom side panels for testing this theory - Side panel ventilation should be right next to GPU heatsink - now above, not under, just on the same height as heatsink - when GPU fans are blowing air into heatsink, half of hot air bump off motherboard, half is going to...... yes, glass panel. Putting ventilation THERE, would take hald of hot air from GPU from the case instantly. But glad to see they are thinking about that - never tough ASUS will be the one, who will apply most of ideas i throw over internet ;) Next thing is GPU thermals - there is room for improvement here. Changing power supply shroud to the one with perforated top, and fan slots (dual 140mm - thats helps a lot) and proper air channel inside PSU shroud (whole bottom panel perforated - you already got dust filter for whole bottom) will help to limit dust cumulation on the GPU itself. Dust will get into GPU from the rear of the case - unfiltered back panel, which is perforated will pass thru air to GPU fan (position most to the back of the case). Positive pressure wont help to this. And size and weight.... well, i cannot take more than 10kg (doctor order...) after hernia operation, so glad to see wheels on the case - thats actually something i really respect - noone talks about weight of FULL, COMPLETE BUILD. 15kg for case only, add 2kg for GPU, 1,5kg for CPU heatsink (or 3kg for radiator), 2-3kg for PSU and you got 21kg build. Thats a lot, and specially if it not easy to handle. What about smaller size? With decrease in weight to 10kg? Just to acomodate dual 200mm fans on the front (or dual 180), 140 on the top, 140 on the bottom, and 140 on the back - all 140mm with standard width - 2,5cm (Lian Li failed with this one on O11 Air Mini - keep that in mind). ASUS - if you reading this, and you want to make Case that will be : - cheap in production - fantastic to look, handle, thermal performance and noise levels - and you will be able to proce it well, with satisfying margin and proce for end user, let me know.

Where's the GPU temps? All you show is CPU temps. Under load the CPU temps were not good for the price. Most of the other cases in the list were sub $200 and outperformed this case.
For consideration our testing results 72C CPU 61.9C GPU This is with Z790 Creator, 13900K and ProArt 4080 CPU was at 180W GPU was at 300W Keep in mind your temps will probably be under this unless you are driving heavier workloads which is generally not going to be the case for the GPU and only applicable to the CPU which with heavier multi threaded sustained workloads could be 250W+ It is not clear how other chassis are tested for airflow as for instance the H6 flow only comes with 3 fans is the chassis test with all fans populated if so you need to increase cost as the PA602 comes with all the fans included minus the cooler. Also there are other respective features, functions and specifications that increase the cost to compared to more entry chassis. If you purely want a high airflow chassis at a low cost from ASUS consider our upcoming GT302 or even our GT502 which offers solid airflow and comes in at a lower price.

Finally a proper review of this mighty case. It seems that much cheaper cases (Lancool 216, Lancool 2 Mesh P, Phanteks G500 P, Montech Air 903 Max) have much better thermals. Its looks is terrific though.
Wonder how it compares to the Fractal Design Torrent
Looks like a great case. I wish the Type-A front I/O ports were a bit faster (10Gbps)
I think the ProArt logo on the dust filter would be nicer if it was gold instead of Black. I don’t know if its possible ( in any case) but option to front mount the 420mm AIO or keep the 2 x 200mm fans
Lastly, this case isn’t BTF or advanced BTF compatible, like ASUS announced for other cases at CES 2024 😢
If it had at least one 5.25" bay and was in white I would buy it right now...
Power-off locked, but reset button not? 🙃
Why we haven’t GPU temps of all tested cases to compare ?
Under embargo no doubt.
My cat has several times used my pc to jump up to me and pushed the power button as she did so.
A lock is a fantastic idea! 😂
What are dimensions of the space at the top for radiator? I like to fit slim 420 not the AIO
Talking with the BRO who did a custom build a open loop radiator of 420 mm can fit with 1 set of fans
@Robeytech Live Are there any handles to be found on the top of this case? XDA did a review of it and claim that there are two metal handlebars for moving the case, but I can't find mention of them anywhere else, or see any indication of them in pics.
Looks neat but the bespoke 200mm fans kind of ruin it as I don't even see Asus selling direct replacements for them.
it is not an issue as Cooler Master, Phanteks, Thermaltake and Noctua make 200mm PC case fans.
@@taomahNEGEV 200mm fans dont all have standard mounting points hence why Noctua for example has multiple spacings on their fan. Either way depending on the case it doesn't guarantee compatibility, that's why if Asus is going to provide a case like this they should also sell replacement fans.
@@Malinkadink True.
But glad to see they are thinking about that - never tough ASUS will be the one, who will apply most of ideas i throw over internet ;)
Next thing is GPU thermals - there is room for improvement here.
ASUS - if you reading this, and you want to make Case that will be :
- cheap in production
- fantastic to look, handle, thermal performance and noise levels
- and you will be able to proce it well, with satisfying margin and proce for end user, let me know.
Cool case. Hopefully the next version refines some of the flaws. RGB is not my favorite.
Help Robe, where can I buy that nice ProArt Case and the Cooler, I also want to build my new ProArt PC, I already have some parts, but I need that. I can't find any link where I can buy it. Greetings.
Should be out this week!
@@RobeytechLive
Great, I'll be on the lookout. Which platform do you think it is promoted on? Thanks
Nice front I/O but for $277 is overpriced. I think an 011 EVO with a 3/4 pack of fans and their additional front I/O module added on might be cheaper.
Or you go with cooler master H500P
Will this radiator fit in the Hyperion? Nice build
very interesting video i i have the seasonic 1600w lenth 210mm so if i remoce the double cage of hard wil be plenty space ? since only ssd drives i will put .Even if you say in video is removable please confirm it and then i will buy the case . thanks
Is that a case handle along the top there? or am I mistaken?
Does anyone know the exact length available for a PSU in front of the HDD drive bays? Can’t seem to find this specific info on ASUS’ website.
Is there still no workable solution for 4 x DDR5 ? I have ASUS ProArt Z790 Creator wifi Using 4 x DDR5 rated for 5600MHz but only achieving 4800MHz using xm I or xm II
Where's the GPU temps? All you show is CPU temps. Under load the CPU temps were not good for the price. Most of the other cases in the list were sub $200 and outperformed this case.
For consideration our testing results
72C CPU
61.9C GPU
This is with
Z790 Creator, 13900K and ProArt 4080
CPU was at 180W
GPU was at 300W
Keep in mind your temps will probably be under this unless you are driving heavier workloads which is generally not going to be the case for the GPU and only applicable to the CPU which with heavier multi threaded sustained workloads could be 250W+
It is not clear how other chassis are tested for airflow as for instance the H6 flow only comes with 3 fans is the chassis test with all fans populated if so you need to increase cost as the PA602 comes with all the fans included minus the cooler. Also there are other respective features, functions and specifications that increase the cost to compared to more entry chassis. If you purely want a high airflow chassis at a low cost from ASUS consider our upcoming GT302 or even our GT502 which offers solid airflow and comes in at a lower price.
@@ASUSUSA thank you for the response! I appreciate the details.
Would have been better to watch the full build than this short over view, then we could have seen all the issues with the case and how you (kinda) solved them.
The full build is linked in the video - ruclips.net/user/liveBPtrUD_sK-s?feature=share
Buit above is the link in case you missed it!
@@RobeytechLive Hey cheers for the link buddy.doing a lian li 011 dynamic XL build so enjoyed watching that and seeing how the case builds perform on cinebench afterwards, keep up the good work.
And nothing about the absurd price, which is more than double than what a case like this should be
the case weight is a big downside, even if never intending to move it, its a problem
Look really nice but too much "don´t fit well" for me...pass on the Gen 1!
This one is nice
this is a catowner case :D
Only thing better than this video is watching it at x .25 speed. He sounds like a hilarious drunk.
Too bad they don’t make a white beechwood version
I want it in white :p
I'd light it up with RGB lol
Because you're 10.
Good one! ;) @@inked-96
@@inked-96 lol
That side vent is so dumb... Pretty useless in terms of thermals, disrupts the view and It's extra noise to your ears, if the case is placed on the side of your desk.
Definitely a dealbreaker for me.
no RGB LED👍
They need AMD proart cards
Please help me i want to buy a pc with 1000 $ what it's can get me 🥲 i want it for 3d modeling and games development
