You are teaching those boys life skills Ben. Now, they will call one of their brothers if they need a patio put in and save $$$. Jobs like this at their age are priceless.
Enjoy the journey of the build. What a privilege to have your boys (& girl) helping. There are some many benefits to homeschooling. Our boys loved it. 😊💕🇨🇦
You are teaching your boys skills they will use later in life plus they are building muscles and strength the best part you are building a lot of respect and a close relationship with your children
I will say its great too have those young men putting their energy into their home expansion somthing they will always remember and the knowledge is more important then anything . Good job parents.
You guys are doing great, I’m always amazed at how much your family can accomplish. The boys are getting a great education in how to do so many things. Buggie too, with all her work in the garden and elsewhere. Not to mention mama, with a baby in her arms. You guys are the best, I love your channel. Your family might be interested in a RUclips video “Renovation Process, divorced man renovates home to live in”, truly amazing. This is somewhere in Asia, doesn’t say where. This guy is such a hard worker and I can’t believe what he accomplishes mostly on his own. He also has a little family of stray cats and dogs he cares for, so kind. I think you would really enjoy his process.
Having projects to build muscles and skills is the best thing for all your kids! Us girls had to learn basic small motor and auto repair, basic carpentry etc. right along with the boys. As well the boys had to learn how to do laundry, mending ironing and cooking too. Great life skills and confidence builders. Love that you are raising another generation of solid folk!
I was thinking along similar thoughts too. Been following for quite a while now and finally this past Winter I went back to the very beginning and followed the progression. As I was watching Buggy this thought came to mind if Meg & Ben had called it quits then precious Buggy and now Elizabeth wouldn’t be here - that would very sad.
I am so glad to see you working on the addition again and as another commentor said... "The world needs more men like you, thanks for staying true to yourself." by JeffB1409
If you build it, the rain will come. This is your own "field of dreams". It was so cool watching the time-lapse of all of you working outside. I am sure Meg was working just as hard inside.
Thanx to the boys for pitching in and making the job a lot easier. We don't realize how big a help they are until they are not around to help. A special thanx to Brett for the extra help he offered. Now on to the next step.
I'm a 64 y/o lady with a disability and for most of my younger life on our farm I never wore shoes, only to school and church and have hardly never had colds etc, I Love seeing your boys helping you, they are learning useful skills and having fun too. Just a safety note for the son with the long hair he may want to tie it back while using machinery as a lady here in Aus ripped her complete, scalp and face off getting it caught in a machine on their dairy, just caring, it's all looking great, love the new bub sooooooo super cute xox
Another 64 year old Aussie here, we all remember that poor lady, it was horrendous but taught us all to make sure our hair is tied back. My grandkids won’t wear shoes here on our small hobby farm. Even now while it’s freezing cold they still get around bare foot. They have gumboots but prefer the earth between their toes. “ Touch wood” they rarely get sick. Karen.
You are a good father have those boys work sets great values for their lives. Unlike most teens today, they don’t wanna work today. It’s good to see your boys all want to work .I was 12 years old when I started working used to take the train into the city .Now I’m still working same job same company 35 years strong
Kudos to you and your boys, there's not much more satisfying then some brute concrete work. Way to teach your boys that the "easy" way isn't always the default
I watched Ben do that with Buggy when they first started, before the county/gov. got involved. I've often wondered if that stone was just buried or dug up.
🙋🏼♀️🕊.. it’s very exciting, all of you working together, you and your young men ,will be looking 👀 back ,and saying WE did that Together. So nice to look foward to seeing all of you, have more room in the house 🏠 With fore 4 young men in the house. I just wish Meg had a summer kitchen.. I had 2 young men , and all their friends hung out at our house. Oh the coats and boots and gloves . The house fills up !! I do have a lovely daughter as well. Also the youngest 🥀💞🕊🕊💞🕊💞Blessings 🏠🏠
These fun times of you all working together to make your home will be with your children all their lives! They can say. “We did that”. And be so proud !
Yes, my siblings and I still mention the work we helped Dad do on the house when we were kids. In the 70's we dug our basement out by hand, us kids and the neighbor kids helped Dad. Great seeing Ben and the boys work together.
Can’t wait to see the outcome of your project. I’m sure it’ll look as good as when you rebuilt the trailer, from the ground up. Enjoy watching Holler Homestead, Sow the Land, Lumnah Acres and Calico Cow Acres. Homestead Shop Talk would be good with Taylor too
Wow, concrete is poured for the foundation! So it got delivered and then started to rain and pour down on it as soon as you got the concrete bags on pallets unloaded and covered! Crazy! I'm so glad the boys could help do all the manual help of pouring the foundation. That was a nice time lapse filming of the whole procedure! Too bad the MUDMIXER broke! I'm glad you got it to work again. The GFCI system on it is iffy? Good thing you had "Rusty" the concrete mixer as a back-up. I'm glad you had some leftover concrete to store on the homestead just in case. I bet you're very happy that part is done! It's great that the boys helped clean up and burn the empty concrete bags. Good thing you got the part near the outside of the trailer, the drip zone, dealt with before the rain could dig a line into it. I like the time lapse of the kids walking all over it. At least you poured it before all the rain happened! Yay, block is next! More rain! Thanks for this video Hollar family!
Keep doing what yall are doing. Those boys will grow up to be good husband's and fathers. I know so many parents that didn't make their kids do any work as kids and now they are paying the price for it.
It's great to see some progress on the mobile home addition. You are fortunate to have such an amazing crew, they will never forget what they are learning. Buggy doing her Quality Control laps was classic, it looks like she approved the work. Thanks!
What an exciting video! Having followed you on the journey, we understood the pause but were very happy to see the project begin to progress, as we’re sure you and Meg are too! You can feel the excitement of the boys as they are part of this progress, after pause for several months also. Not using a cement truck and/or pumper worked out for the best! I’d be remiss if I didn’t congratulate the video and editors also! Everyone contributed to a truly memorable video of the continuation of your New Home Addition.
I love your videos, but I always feel they’re too short. I cannot believe that you’re finally finishing this project. I love watching you work with your boys. God bless you and your family.
Hollar family, I really love watching your family grow up. I love you all and appreciate every video. Maybe one rainy day the boys can tell us about themselves. Their favorite things, what they would like to do when they grow up, their favorite chores on the farm, their least favorite and why. We have watched them grow but never really got to know them.
It's always exciting to see all your boys helping you with the build. They aren't afraid of work that's for sure 😊 and it is beginning to take shape 😊❤❤❤
Your boys are great and learning so much, they’ll have so much pride in helping you build their house. I get the barefoot thing especially in summer, but I still cringe as it’s a building site with so many dangers. But not my kids so I’ll shut up now and admire their work ethic 😊
Those boys are also getting work experience. I grew up working for my parents and had a few years work experience when I went for my first real job. It helps.
Its so so exciting to see progress on your extention build! Its wonderful to see your handsome boys working with you Ben. It was also nice to see Buggy getting involved in the process. I feel really thrilled for gour family although it must be very hard work.😊
How exciting!! 67 yr old woman here and I love home improvement stuff - typically back breaking but the rewards are so cool!! Keep doing what you're doing and thanks for another great series; take care!! ❤
Boys need to do projects. I set mine to tearing down a fence at about 13-14. Gave him a sawzall and a sledge and turned him loose. He did an awesome job. Learned a bunch of things and felt pretty good about what he accomplished.
Great learning for all your young men! they do such a great job. They are learning a life time of things that will be with them and help them for ever. They are well rounded guys. You are both hands on great parents.I'm looking forward to seeing the finished home , as I'm sure you are 😊Buggy is one lucky little girl to have all her brothers watching out for her.
My kids as well as myself seldom wore shoes I still go barefoot unless I go shopping. Watched the Podcast this morning and hear you about the machine. Can't wait for not only the build addition but, also looking forward to how the veggies are doing and processing of said veggies. Blessings to you and the family.😊🇺🇲
I feel you on the addition building and rain!!! We took our vacation time to start our project, and planned a summer of weekend work. We rented equipment to dig the foundation and planned to have footings ready for pour by the end of that week. Unfortunately it started raining as soon as we returned the equipment, and then proceeded to rain every single weekend for the rest of that summer (of course it was gorgeous the entire time we were at work). I can't tell you how many times we hand dug the footings out and attempted to set forms only to have rain come and cave them back. We finally got to pour day and the truck was an entire wall short and refused to make it right (24' x 24' addition)! So I was forced to make a mad dash in my baby Subaru Justy (the size of a Ford Festiva) to the very expensive local Mom and Pop hardware store (no choice since big box place was 60 miles round trip and I had to make several trips to get enough bags and get it to my husband to mix and pour before other stuff set up)! I was over that project before it really began!
Great update, it’s looking very good. Wonderful seeing the young men working together with you Ben. Hope it gets completed for Meg soon! Happy Days!🧱🧱🧱☀️😄👏❤️
The boys will use there hands on teamwork and trade experience to build there own homes. Pissibly add business venture, or plumbing electrical builder trade work.
I agree! Some of the most fun work I ever did around my old house was laying concrete. My wife’s grandfather used to come over and supervise so our outcome was pretty nice! It was hard work but with tangible results.
Nothing like going barefoot…I still go without shoes as much as possible inside or outside..and I’m 60 lol..love seeing the build happening! Blessings guys❤❤
All of your boys are great but I think Brett has the edge on them. He's got the makings of a mini you. I know what you mean about rain, Glasgow, Scotland here, our whole summer so far has been a washout. We don't even get summertime temperatures. Its very frustrating, thats why so many Brits head to Europe for their summer holidays. England and especially the South usually get not bad summer but here in Scotland, its usually abysmal. Love watching you making progress with the build. Thank you for sharing x
Love seeing your boys working with you. Also, love the bare feet - especially Buggie! I always went barefoot as a kid and I lived in the city. Still go barefoot most of the time at 86!!
Hello, tks for video. Podcast was great and now I see what all you were talking about. Great job boys and Buggie....running around getting forms off in fast speed was crazy cute. Much love to whole family,...
Such a great experience for the boys having interaction with such a great man! Turning them into great young men, you all as a whole are so very blessed ❤
Hello from 🇨🇦 near Sudbury Ontario 😊 It's SOOO wonderful when you do things like you and yours have been doing, TOGETHER... Many precious memories being made❤ and they are GROUNDING all the time without shoes or boots... Very beneficial👍 Love you all and GODS Continual Blessings to ALL 🙏😇🤗💝
💚 Progress is definitely being made and is looking good! All this time I thought Tyler was the eldest and then came the twins..guess I was wrong about that 😂. You all works so well together! 💚
It’ll be nice when you get your home skirted. You’re right Ben, teen boys do need fun work to do. I raised 3 sons and they helped me with vegetable gardening every summer. We always had a huge veggie garden with every vegetable 🥦 possible; cabbage, corn, lettuce, tomatoes, peas, green beans, cucumbers, etc.
I respect your ability to give your boys a man to look up to. The world needs more men like you, thanks for staying true to yourself.
Your boys are going to have an amazing work ethic when they get older. You are raising very self-sufficient men. Love watching the progress! GOD bless
The kids have such a great opportunity to learn so much from these “sound” parents…amazing watching the family work together. So many memories‼️💌
Amen!
Yes amen
You are teaching those boys life skills Ben. Now, they will call one of their brothers if they need a patio put in and save $$$. Jobs like this at their age are priceless.

Barefoot👌👌👌👌👌 when I was growing up I only wore shoes to school & town. You go boys
You are teaching your boys skills they will use later in life plus they are building muscles and strength the best part you are building a lot of respect and a close relationship with your children

I love the way you teach vo-tech courses at home!!!
Wtg Mom and Dad!!!
✌️💖🙏🙌🇺🇲🕊️🤜
The best part of being a kid and helping with the big protects is looking at it now and for years to come and thinking, "I did that!"
I know! ❤
Horray for Rusty!!👏💪👊 Great job, everyone ❤ How exciting for Buggy to watch her room come to life🥰

Meg, I don't know you in person. But I am so glad this journey made you and Ben stronger, and what a life you've built. So happy for your family.

People with skills, energy, and ideas have kids with same! Keep Going!
Buggy going round and round on the sidewalk was predictable and adorable.
I'm happy, to see the drought has ended and the project is back underway.
I am so glad to see you working on the addition again and as another commentor said... "The world needs more men like you, thanks for staying true to yourself." by JeffB1409
Thanks for the reminder about my barefoot youth! I never wore shoes if I could help it.
Right ? At 76 I’m still that way but have had to resort to flip flops 🩴 😂👵🏻👩🌾❣️
If you build it, the rain will come. This is your own "field of dreams". It was so cool watching the time-lapse of all of you working outside. I am sure Meg was working just as hard inside.
I love the way you love your children.
Thanx to the boys for pitching in and making the job a lot easier. We don't realize how big a help they are until they are not around to help.
A special thanx to Brett for the extra help he offered.
Now on to the next step.
The knowledge that your boys have is amazing. Their work ethics are beyond their years.
Beyond the years of many young adults now a days. Sadly. These boys will be what every lady wants in a spouse❤
Your sons and Buggy are such a help. Hope it stops raining long enough to get most of the addition done. Can't wait to see it.❤
I'm a 64 y/o lady with a disability and for most of my younger life on our farm I never wore shoes, only to school and church and have hardly never had colds etc, I Love seeing your boys helping you, they are learning useful skills and having fun too. Ouch 😵💫🫥. I can’t imagine that 🫣. The pain must have been horrendous ! Yes agree it can be a hazard 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
As long as there are tetanus vaccine shots available. I saw pictures of people dieing of lockjaw/tetanus, reeally don't want to die of that!
Another 64 year old Aussie here, we all remember that poor lady, it was horrendous but taught us all to make sure our hair is tied back. My grandkids won’t wear shoes here on our small hobby farm. My husband and I love your channel. You all are such a blessing to so many people. Meg you are so smart with so many talents. I really admire you❤️

Ben and Meg, your kids are amazing! They do so much to help around the homestead! What a blessing!
I wish I had half the energy Buggy does! She is so sweet
Kudos to you and your boys, there's not much more satisfying then some brute concrete work. Way to teach your boys that the "easy" way isn't always the default
Whenever we get concrete we put the kids hand and feet print plus date into it. All these years later they still like to show their friends.
I watched Ben do that with Buggy when they first started, before the county/gov. got involved. I've often wondered if that stone was just buried or dug up.
I love me some Hollar Vlogs, and I love updates on the building progress
At one point, Bugg is, literally, running circles around all the guys!!! Too funny and says much about her personality!
Progress has been made. Well done to the Hollar workers. You will get there. 🌻🌻❤❤
One step at a time! The concrete looks great. Can’t do much when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Father and Son’s Construction Co. LLC… AWESOME 😎👍
Bensons Construction Co. !👍😁😄
It was so fun watching the younger kids turn the concrete into a running track. 😊 Good work!!

I cant get over how FAST Bug is growing!
All the boys are amazing. So glad you have them to help you. They are learning good skills for their future. Have a great weekend ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Absolutely another great day on the Hollar Family Homestead! Blessings Kiddos! 🌻🐛🌿💚🙏💕
I am so excited about this build! One because I enjoy watching it come together and two, because y'all will have so much more space!!!
Concrete is always genuine A&E work. Looks like a good job, but then you've got a good crew.
Hollar family, I really love watching your family grow up. I love you all and appreciate every video. Maybe one rainy day the boys can tell us about themselves. This is great training for the young men. It's always great to teach them mew skills. 🤗
Coming right along! Your children are enjoying an incredible education. Well done you two 👩🏼🌾
Your boys are such hard working men! Good for them! Everyone’s a winner here! ❤ 😊 Looks great! 👍
It's always exciting to see all your boys helping you with the build. They aren't afraid of work that's for sure 😊 and it is beginning to take shape 😊❤❤❤
Things are coming along! I ❤ watching construction 🦺 👵🏻👩🌾❣️

Those boys are also getting work experience. I grew up working for my parents and had a few years work experience when I went for my first real job. It helps.
Passing on knowledge and feeding self esteem. Going against the grain again as usual. Well done all.
Its so so exciting to see progress on your extention build! Its wonderful to see your handsome boys working with you Ben. It was also nice to see Buggy getting involved in the process. I feel really thrilled for gour family although it must be very hard work.😊
Hi, Ben! Thanks for this video! I was eager to see the mixer after you described it this morning on HOMESTEAD SHOP TALK!!! Thanks a million.
You guys are doing AMAZING with this job and more so with your family!!!!!! Keep doing YOU!!!!! God bless you always. ~Lisa
How exciting!! 67 yr old woman here and I love home improvement stuff - typically back breaking but the rewards are so cool!! Keep doing what you're doing and thanks for another great series; take care!! ❤
Such a huge success and your wonderful young men pitching in. A proud moment for pop and ma.
Fast forward mode….I think the children like the steps ❤
Well hello Guys hope all is well.. love watching your progress
Now I have to check out what Jason posted. Good Friday evening to y’all
Boys need to do projects.
Love seeing that important first part done. Step by step.. you'll get there. 👍
You guys have instilled great work ethics into your children - Well done & great job so far. Cheers Denise - Australia
Yeah!!! One more Step TO End! ❤
Love watching your family vlops,
Send the rain this way😊
Your garden beds will grow from all the rain. It won't be long before things really dry out. Nice work on laying concrete.
💙🌹💙Yay Glad You All Got Cement Down.God Bless.💜🌹💜
I agree! Some of the most fun work I ever did around my old house was laying concrete. My wife’s grandfather used to come over and supervise so our outcome was pretty nice! It was hard work but with tangible results.

Hello, tks for video. Podcast was great and now I see what all you were talking about. Great job boys and Buggie....running around getting forms off in fast speed was crazy cute. Much love to whole family,...
You are teaching your boys a skill.

Your kids are learning a strong work ethic. It will serve them well the rest of their lives.
Agree as that is a rare thing these days. Nothing like country living 👍👵🏻👩🌾❣️
It’ll be nice when you get your home skirted. You’re right Ben, teen boys do need fun work to do. I raised 3 sons and they helped me with vegetable gardening every summer. Congratulations on a muddy wet completion to your cement work. Even after all of the rain.
So glad you're back to the build. The kids are such great help!
I am so excited for you guys, you'd think i was getting a new addition 😂 cannot wait to see it finished!! You too I'm sure lol. God Bless.
I love building projects and especially watching a family who gets along well
I’ve never used cement and fun in the same sentence. 😂
