- Thunder, lightning and heavy rain started around 11:30am and in about an hour, our pond went from 4 feet low to overflowing the dam. All this water came down in less than 2 hours. Danny's rain gauge showed 6 inches.
We are blessed it was receding and only light rain the rest of the day.

THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Tree bark produces oils, which are drawn to the surface of the bark in warm, dry weather.
When it rains, these ingredients dissolve in the water and flow down the tree trunks. They start to bond chemically and create soap molecules. The rough surface of the bark helps to agitate the mixture - just like the friction created when you scrub a soapy dish in the sink - and by the time it gets to the bottom, the process has resulted in a little patch of soapy foam.
I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the cows, they were having a grand time. They were like thanks dad for making us a water park!
I thought that same thing.
The cows are enjoying the nutrient rich pond water
Thank the Government for Operation Popeye.
I'm so glad you was able to take care of this. I so understand we had a flood in 2006 in Northeast Arkansas, that was unbelievable. 17" of rain in about 5 hours. My husband swam out with our bull to save him. We lost several head of cattle and lots of calves. We were calving at the time. It was horrible and unbelievable. Just a flash flood in our little area of our farm. We were blessed with wonderful neighbors that came with boats and helped us get as many head of cattle out. I Pray for all of you and anyone in this path of high water. Please be safe Danny and Wanda. Good Good people. God is Good.

The mantle is going to be gorgeous ♥️
That's Crazy Wild !!!
I'm agreeing with the fact that "Someone" or "Something" doesn't want Us to Grow Our Own Food.
The cows is looking like wow Pawpaw that’s a lot of water 💦
A silver lining for us watching is that the water flowing across your land gives us an even better appreciation for just how beautiful your property is, and all the management that’s gone into maintaining it. Be safe and God bless!
Soap suds on tree's is a subject that another channel I follow on RUclips mentioned a few yrs ago. SWAMP BOSS in Upstate New York area has lived 50+ yrs in the forest and said that when it rains, every species of trees and rivers are full of suds and bubbles. And he recorded it as it rained. This was probably 5 yrs ago he spoke about that. I feel it's whatever they drop on us from the skies. Stay safe and we love ya
Danny and Wanda I'm so glad you are safe. I never seen anyone so fearless on a tractor as Danny.
God Bless and I love your videos.
Oh my! Mckaylah Faith said it was flooding but this is worse than I imagined. All I can say is WOW!!!
I’m so glad you two are safe, along with your animals, and the pond is full, but praying that the damage when the water recedes is minimal. You’re right Danny, rain doesn’t make suds! Wanda, thank you for capturing all of this on video, and you are beautiful even soaking wet. May the Lord keep His hands on you and turn this into a blessing. Sending love and as always Many Blessings.
I hope that the sudsy rain doesn't harm the pond life or crops.
@@debravictoria7452 Yep, I'd be analyzing the chemistry of that rain for sure, notifying the news and the newspapers.. You now have a video record of those suds..
God Bless all of us who work to make this world a *better* and *more loving* place, IJHN Amen.
Safe??looked like he killed that duck
@@theonewhomjesusloves7360 You mean Wanda’s plastic decoy ducks?
@@blessedbloominghomestead9134 Nope, I'm pretty sure it was a live one. That shocked me too. If it was a live one, I don't understand that. Even if it were newly appeared, a wandered-in rainy day duck will prob move on as things dry out.
MAYBE Danny was worried that the ducks would eat the planted seedlings under the water, I do not know. My guess is that he will address this, at least I hope so!
God Bless us all
God bless you too. Could’ve been worse.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
So glad you are both safe. Danny you were right, extreme weather. Praying for you both
This is just the beginning.
I think this is regular weather, nothing extreme.
@@DeepSouthHomestead thank goodness having reliable kubotas for the mess clean ups sures better then that ls you had lol

Yes🙏🏻
Praise the Lord for the much needed rain! Sorry it was a little too much, but all is well that ends well! Blessings to you all!
Wanda, your smile brightens up that rainy day deluge! That was a lot of rain!!
Wow! Looks like the rain we had here in NE Ohio last Sunday.. I'm glad your work from a few years back held up for the most part, also glad the barn stayed dry and everyone, animals included, are safe.
🕊💜🙏🏼💪🏼🌱
Prayers for you two, those who have been affected by the storm, and those who are in the path of it.
Wow! The power of water is unimaginable until you see it.
I'm so glad you finally got rain , when the ground is so dry it's hard for it to take in the heavy water all at once, check for air bubbles that means the ground is using the water 💧, the trees are what they call stemflow mixing. Praise God for rain 🌧. Be careful 🙏.
Brilliant! I just looked this up and YES, this foam sure does look like that stemflow mixing. Wonder if this may be more obvious/pronounced due to a very dry summer. Thank you, Chris, you taught me something today!
Thanks for sharing @Chris Winger, I had never heard of stemflow mixing before. I love learning new things from this community.
So glad you got some rain, well, maybe not all that, all at once. I love your channel and your Biblical insite! I pray for you and your condition. Take care and God bless you both!!
Mrs. Wanda, you looked so cute, checking yourself in the camera. Praying for you-easy cleaning up.
The cows look beautiful drinking the rainwater:)🐃🐂stay safe!! Love you both!!🐟💙💙🐟
Prayers for All who was caught off guard with this storm, and prayers no one was injured on the roads.
Another eye opener to what we could face with manipulations by hands. 🙏🇺🇸
I'm glad you two are ok. Thanks an aquariums worth for filming this. We just haven't gotten a good rain here in years. I loved seeing it rain!
Thank God your safe ❤️ wet but safe. I'm praying for those that we're caught in that and didn't know it was coming.
God bless and protect you Danny and Wanda . 🙏🏻
I thought about you two yesterday when I got an alert on my phone about Mississippi having heavy rains. Thank the good Lord that it didn’t get worse on your homestead. Prayers for everyone affected by that storm.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing it with us. They're doing something to make this weather. You know they are.
Just like you told us, Danny...We will see weather extremes much more often...💯
Yes this is just the beginning.
Aloha Danny and Wanda, Was wondering if weather manipulation is one of the things you didn’t want to talk about? Or the one hundred year solar you talked about? Looks like they over seeded the clouds. When you showed the foam on the tree you kind of hinted that something was off. Great job handling it! Thanks for filming. Love your place. On Kauai, “the wettest spot on earth”, it’s the driest we’ve seen it. Will be ready for flash floods. Hope your hay stayed dry! God Blessings, watching and praying, for you folks and the low lying area people. Holding on to His Mighty right hand, Aloha, Stacie
I do believe you all prayed for rain👑🌟❣
Same thing happened here in northern NSW Australia earlier this year. 3 major floods in 18 months and the latest flood was 42 FEET higher than the previous highest. People had no chance of escaping.
I feel your pain
US government fault too?
@@christopherhaney The weather manipulators!

And they sprayed the sky every darn day before the storms. I was watching it like clockwork.

Even with all of that rain, I can’t help but notice your property is still very beautiful. You folks have really picked a wonderful place to have a homestead. 🌿🌾🐄🌧🧑🏻🌾
So glad y'all got your pond back and no major damage but still a lot of hard work. Praying all will be okay for all. 🙏🙏✝️
Jackson, Brandon and that area just about washed off the map. Praying for y'all for no flood damage.
Wow! That thunder really shook your camera! Water is so powerful. That was good that you did the pond and culvert work earlier this year.
Despite the flooding, your place is still absolutely beautiful.
Oh my goodness. I personally have never seen this much rain in such a short amount of time.
🇨🇦❤️🙏🏻
Good Morning Brother Danny and Wanda, I am happy that you both are ok from the flood. Look like the Good Lord gave you a overflow of rain. I know that you stated that it had been so very hot there and you needed rain. Well, the Lord Blessed you with some. Everything will be alright, Praise God!!!❤
I’m so glad that the two of you are okay but this breaks my heart to see this damage to your beautiful farm. Prayers for you in the days ahead.
Boy! You got those sweet potatoes out just in time! Be safe during clean up. Know you’ll have beautiful images for us all when the mud settles and the sun comes out. Thank you for showing us your hard work. Those ponds will be gleaming and sparkling! Stay safe.
Wow. From 4 ft low to over flowing. Crazy. We are supposed to get rain everyday for the next week. I am in East Texas by Shreveport LA. Prayers everyone in your area is safe and God changes the heart of the evil in this country. My daughter manages a few insurance adjusters offices for a subcontracting company. She sent me a pic showing me two storms in the Atlantic heading this way..means more rain. Danny careful with your knee. Ya'll stay safe.
A lot of water but one beautiful piece of land. You've done great work fixing it up. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Thank heavens you have the tools to get everything cleaned up. Be Blessed.
Prayers for you both! Yeah Elvis! 😉Thankful you are doing well and your homestead is holding. Wow, Miss Wanda and Mr Danny! So glad y’all are all safe. The cows were funny, not seeming to be fazed at all.
I’m so glad your new barn stayed dry 😊
We have been nervously watching the river for what seems like a month and are amazed that it hasn’t risen any more than 5 feet….we have been blessed that the heavy rain seems to have missed the basin to the north and the river rise has been minimal for the amount of rain that has fallen right around us.
Prayers for any and everyone dealing with this continuing rain 🙏❤️❤️
Ya'll were blessed. We received 2"s here. I think our city looked like this, but we are out in the country and no runoff, it was slow and steady .
All your landscaping and hard work has paid off inspirational big love all x

So glad you guys haven't had severe damage & everyone is safe. Danny that fishing pier still standing and your barn untouched is a testament to your excellent grading & construction - so proud of you!
Holy cow ! That’s a lot
Of rain ! Glad no damage ! Blessings !
Feast or famine, isn't it Danny? It's like there's a dome over my property in West Virginia. Just over an inch of rain since mid May, yet just 30 miles in every direction, it's been record setting rain. I have no idea what would even cause such a micro climate like that. It really makes no sense. It all seems so random. Grand solar minimum maybe? You guys have been through the wringer this year, one extreme to another. Hope you guys can get it all cleaned up without too much hard work. Glad to see you all and your animals are safe.
Just look up! You Can see them spraying.. this isn’t con trails.. they spray and if you watch and pay attention the trails spread out and turn into haze/thin clouds.
We’re in Nicholas County and while we haven’t had it nearly as bad as others, the downpours have been crazy all summer.
@@Horsewithnoname88 Mineral County here. It's so bad even the undergrowth in the woods has withered up.
@@quantumtruthseeker210 Geez! Just the opposite here. The Ironweed won’t quit. 6’ tall in some places. The front of my chicken coop looks like a pond most days. This has been the first week all summer that it hasn’t rained at least once.
@@krystalgardiner5591 I've noticed for the past few months that just when you know it's gonna rain, I'm talking black clouds and lightening, it's about to downpour, and then it just dissipates and we get nothing. Thank goodness you both are okay! People underestimate the power of water all the time. 🌻
Holy smokes that is a LOT of water! I'm concerned too about those "soap suds". Glad y'all are safe and sound. Looks like some of the changes you've made have helped prevent huge disasters like some you've had in the past.
Wow!!! 😳 🙏 Prayers for everyone!
It’s either floods or droughts all around the world at the moment, nothing moderate where the weather is concerned! Hope it drains always as quickly as it came. Love from Sherwood Forest 🌳
Sending love and prayers to you and all of Mississippi. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Glad y'all are OK with minimal damage. And very thankful the ground wasn't already saturated when this hit. Louisiana caught a lot too but I believe the brunt of it hit Northeast Texas and y'all a lot worse. Praying the possible hurricanes in the Atlantic miss the gulf and we don't catch any of them. Please be careful in your clean-up. Thanks for the video.
Oh man!! Can't wait for porch time this week to hear Danny's thoughts
I lived in Pascagoula for 4 years. There's nothing like a gulf coast gully washer. Glad y'all came out ok.
Thankful for much needed rain.
Might outta get a boat for the Homestead. God bless y'all. I'm praying that y'all can get some positive solutions out of this. On a lighter note, never a dull moment on the Homestead
Good idea
Danny, check into small check dams in your swells. A 20ft log of oak, gum, cedar or other decay resistant log works. Bury about 2/3 deep and peg down, cut a level notch about 6-8 ft across the top about 3 inches deep to disperse and slow the water over a greater area. This helps to prevent the rain from gauging out the gullies and washing topsoil away. You might have to install several at intervals as your lands falls. Love ya'll videos.
That was one awful big shower . Glad you guys and your homestead are ok. Thank the lord everything made it and damage was minimal. Dont envy you on the tidy up job tho thats gonna take a bit. Stay safe. prayers and love from 🇦🇺
OMG Danny and Wanda wait all summer for rain then get tons in 2 hours. Praying for you and your homestead
My Goodness! Glad the damage wasn't any worse than it was, but very interesting about the soap suds. Your place is so beautiful with all the hard work you've put into it, and I know there is a concern in the back of your minds regarding rising water not caused by rain, so while I watching Kevin and Sara talking about their new home the other day, I kept thinking Danny and Wanda should buy their original homestead property! There may still be challenges there with what's coming, but at least your homestead wouldn't be under the ocean. After seeing what a few inches of rain can do, I'm thinking that idea sounds better and better. Take Care!!
I’m glad y’all ok from Michigan 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 There’s going to be a lot of work to do!
That's crazy!! I hope all that rain doesn't damage your crops and so happy to hear you both are safe. After the drought we experienced in June and July, the little bit of rain we are getting now is so welcomed. Of my tiny harvest, I will be getting tomatoes and peppers.
Bless you all!
Wow that's crazy, glad you are all safe and the animals. That's a lot of water. Prayers to all
We’re about 30 min north of the Ross Barnett dam on the Pearl River. They’ve opened the dam and the river will crest on Tuesday. I’ve never seen that much rain! We had to just open all coops, pens, etc. Thankfully all our animals are safe.
Now that’s a gully washer
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a lot of rain. So happy the pond is full. Glad yawl are safe and enjoying the rain. We had rain here in central Texas and getting more next week. Temps are no longer in the 100's. Cooled down 70's in the mornings and low 90 during the day. Fall is very close and we are getting ready to plant seed for the fall. God bless you Danny and Wanda.
I can’t believe you went from bone dry droughts to floods in just a month or two!
Their land was so dry, it probably couldn't absorb it fast enough
You better get used to it. If you are experiencing drought, expect floods. If you are experiencing a heat wave, expect freezing temps. It's all engineered to jerk you like a tassle on a whip.

I keep thinking about the weather extremes Danny was talking about....and there it is, big as life. The cows looked like they were having a day at a water park to play. Y'all may have over-prayed for the rain, or all the subscribers collectively prayed for you to have rain. So happy the barn stayed dry. This was a good litmus test for that.
