@@marek9002 I have a career so I don’t need a “job”! I’m not badmouthing “Young Bands”, only GVF! I’ve pointed out a young band from Japan called BANDMAID who I think is INCREDIBLE! GVF’s Lead Singer is AWFUL in my opinion! I don’t consider “Screaming” singing! Sorry, it’s my opinion Dude!
I fell in love with a band once, at the age of seven. That band is Led Zeppelin. I have been a devoted servant for 30 years.....I never thought I would hear something thar would bring a joy that Zeppelin presented again. Yet, here is Greta Van Fleet.
The problem is that Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Uriah Heep, Cream etc were already themselves and had something of their own to contribute from the very beginning. Led Zeppelin I, Disraeli Gears, etc were alreadiy absolutely groundbreaking albums (both sonically and musically). For sure they had their influences (and Led Zeppelin in particular more than "influences") but as I said, from the very beginning all those bands were trying to be themselves and were creating something new out of those influences they had. And for sure they succeded at that, having become each of them a perfectly defined rock style and an inescapable reference. Meanwhile, the only "achievement" of these GVF guys so far is to make a retro-rock that constantly recalls (or more than simply "recalls", since they blatanty emulate or even mock) those 70's bands, but they haven't really wrote a single song "of their own" yet, nor seem to be trying to do it either. They're like seeing one of those absurd "tribute" bands, only difference is the mega-hype, and that they (GVF) are more professional and pretentious. I can understand the under-25 y.o. enthusiasm, but don't get how on earth anyone who grew up during the 70's can buy this (fake) product.
@@katelynrose3024 what are you on, love? I never said it didn't take talent to copy Led Zeppelin. GVF has a metric shit-ton of talent. That's what I like about them. If you lack the ability to hear how they try to sound like Led Zeppelin that's totally on you

When all hope is lost .....i stumble upon this:
Best Rock Band in years- or decades?? Barely 25 years old, 4 albums , many Top songs and their Live performances are as good as it gets!
You MUST be talking about BANDMAID? You certainly can’t say that about the Kiszka brothers?
@@scottpollack1007 dude your everywhere in the comment section. Get a job or something instead of hating on young bands
I completely agree. One of the best bands since the 80's. WOW. Freddie Mercury meets Rush. Obsessed!! Can't wait for more!
@@scottpollack1007 What a nimrod.
I cry every time i see this, i'll never stop watching it ❤
I fell in love with a band once, at the age of seven. That band is Led Zeppelin. I have been a devoted servant for 30 years.....I never thought I would hear something thar would bring a joy that Zeppelin presented again. Yet, here is Greta Van Fleet.
We get to relive the aura of Led Zep and so many great others through GVF! Lets just love and not judge. Raw talents
I hear so many influences in their music. TRex, Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Zeppelin and the list goes on. Amazing and talented young men.
You will hear Rush, Cream and Eagles too... get the new album! The best yet! Bringing rock n roll back!!
Fam, it's 90% a Zeppelin ripoff. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but let's keep it real
@@34JohannesHeinz34 Oh shut up. Nobody appointed you the connoisseur of music. You wish you had talent.
@@katelynrose3024 what are you on, love? I never said it didn't take talent to copy Led Zeppelin. GVF has a metric shit-ton of talent. That's what I like about them. If you lack the ability to hear how they try to sound like Led Zeppelin that's totally on you
Finally.. musicians in this generation knowing the value of talent!! Haven't heard any serious new prog rock in a LONG TIME! So wanna see these guys in concert!!!
The last chorus of the song is peak music
Fucking hell... This guys voice!! Nandomly found this band. Incredible!
I came to comment and I already had lol
As a newbie to this band ... I'm blown away! Fantastic musicians
What can I add to all the wonderful comments already made. Absolutely brilliant. I am 70 years old so was brought up on Led Zep etc etc. Was fortunate to have seem them back in the early 70's. These 'youngsters' are doing a wonderful job such talent and what a voice ! 👏
Ive just been introduced to this band by a young woman i work with, and thank you for introducing me to them, im 62 years young and its so good to here this type of rock music again, thank fuck this type of music is being resorrected by the likes of this band, awesome, awesome, awesome..........
If they sound like this live..... Rock is definitely in good hands. The spirit of rock has chosen another. \ , , /,
