I was born in the 70s, I heard all of the greats growing up. In the 90s, I experienced Nirvana & the grunge scene first hand. I’ve waited a very, very long time for GVF. It’s music that is absolutely soul reaching. A bad day can be turned completely around with just one song.
All the songs sound kind of Mystikal. Don't know if you know what I mean. Something like the old days of the night in the castles with the Kings. Like this should be harps and jolly dancers period but every song that I have heard from them it's fucking awesome they have a beautiful sound and a good beat. Similar to Led Zeppelin but not quite Led Zeppelin

I grew up in the 70’s I love Greta Van Fleet. I’ve seen them twice in concert and I go again soon. If you want to listen to the Real Rock like we used to….believe me this is straight up the best music I’ve heard in 40 years. I don’t feel or act my age. This keeps me feeling young. So much talent. GO BUY TICKETS to their next concert. You will forever change for the best.
Yep. I couldn't wait to see them. I've loved them since before they even had an album. When I saw them live 2 years ago, the first of three times now, it was life-changing. I have never been a fan boy. But I can't get over this band. I love them as people. Their theme is love. And their concerts are celebration.
Grew up with my dad only listening to classic rock. I loved it! He’s since passed and now that I’m in my early twenties listening to Greta it’s now clicked… feel as though I can truly feel the excitement and energy my dad had growing up with the likes of led zeppelin etc. Genuinely wish I could bond with him over Greta’s music today. I do like a lot of todays music but this… this is where it’s at! Bridged a gap I’ve been dying to re-experience! Cannot get enough of their music! Every time I’m listening it’s impossible to not be happy and just jam out! All other worries go out the drain! I love it! Blessed to be experiencing such talent like my dad did at this age.
I have never seen or heard anything like it since the 70's . when it was Brand New . And we LIVED it .. So we ought to Know what we are talking about . No one has to explain it to us, we just FEEL IT .
What goes around comes around! Great music always comes back... we just have to keep our ears open! So glad Greta are Zeppelin fans instead of Godsmack fans, or some new cr@p. Nothing wrong with sounding like your heroes. Fantastic music!
We are watching legends in the making in real time. This band is SPECIAL and has now filled the passion I feel when listening to Audio Slave, Jane's Adduction and The Black Crowes. This boys have EVERYTHING.
@@mccauleyprop It does seem a little too Perfect ... I cant find a single mistake , and that is almost impossible in a Live Performance .. Are these Guys really that good, or is this Recorded in Studio and just a PROMO VIDEO ?
Oh, I love these guys so much and I am in my mid-50's. I have more respect for their music than I do for any other recording artist in the last 30 years❤
We're witnessing history. This band has followers from all ages. Reminiscent of 70's classic rock (Led Zepp to be precise), 80's hard rock flair, sprinkle of 90's grunge, and as young as they are, they have today's millenials as fans as well. Mash all that up and get GVF!!!! Didn't think it could ever be done.
I just discovered GVF in the past week and am blown away. This may sound bombastic but hear me out. Greta Van Fleet may be the most important band in the history of hard rock music. The reason is that hard rock as a genre was on its deathbed and these kids are bringing it back. Although they're still babies as bands go, they're the standard-bearer for classic rock now. They're not just great. They're important. They need to stick together and make great music for years to come. They will inspire more young bands to come along and perform this style of music. Sort of like Metallica has been doing a long time for metal.
You are Right on the money .. Every word .. These are the Guys who will build the Momentum.. .The Old Rock Stars are sadly dying off , or doing Farewell Tours , and we need a New Generation to take over .. The market is there, The Torch has to be Passed though, and Other New Rock Bands will be formed and inspired by this Genre .. its like taking a Trip back into the 70's when I listen to them . The Guitarist is also extremely Talented , and Keyboard, just listen to the Keyboard skills ... it is as if he is Channeling Gary Brooker from Procol Harum ..
I was born in 1967 and I have grown up with all the great Rock stars... Today my heart trembles with you... I am an unconditional fan. Long live Greta van Fleet from Spain.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I heard about this band by watching an interview with Robert Plant saying the lead singer has a voice like his when he was young. I love that he was right. The rest of the band has a beautiful powerful sound. I am godsmacked!
I loved the way his voice sounded back then. I guess you could say more untamed, emotional, more high-end maybe, and wild. Ofc his voice has gone through playing so many shows so frequently so he's had to make sure his voice stays intact. his voice is always evolving which is amazing to witness.
What in the world did my daughter just turn me on to??!! This band is AMAZING, the riffs, the vocals…..this is heavenly! I can’t get enough of this band. Finally a good band! LOVE THEM….rock on! 😎
I can’t tell you how much I love joshs vocals, Danny’s hard work and fats arms, jake killing the guitar and just grooving with it, and sams movement when he here and the music and starts playing. It comes together so magically and beautifully and artistically, I love it♥️♥️✌🏽.
My daughter told me about this band. I thought rock and roll was dead, but these boys have proven me wrong, I'm happy to say. I can hear the influence of LedZep, Rush, and Triumph -- all bands that I listened to over and over again in the 70s and 80s.
Just bought two tickets to see them in Glasgow this November. Only heard them yesterday and haven’t stopped listening. What a set of pipes this kid has! First band in years that’s gave me chills when listening to them!
My first two tickets were for this actual pair of shows @RedRocks. Just caught the shows in SLC and Vegas for the new tour. You will not be disappointed.
Anybody who had any doubts about this band needs to watch this video. No matter what anybody says, this band is the real deal. I can admit its changed my opinion a complete 180 and I'm a fan for life.
By far.. is the best R&R I have heard in ages and I mean AGES. Yes they are "raw ( they went straight to the top) their songs are not mature. AND YES it is NOT 1967 london or 1980's Long Island NY but there is a shitload of talent in that gene pool. BTW.. The singer is PRETTY unique.. all him .. not a note from Mick Jagger or Chris Robinson (Black Crows)
I watched it, and i can say that was a pretty decent waste of 30 minutes. Nothing they do is original, nothing. Not even close to a few grains of originality. Nothing they have is memorable; so unmemorable in fact, that i can't remember what to even hate on. This feels like Hanson, but mixed with Adam Sandler vocals on acid.
The energy went in through your feet and out through your head like he said it would!! That part amazed the heck out of me! I experienced the same thing😌😌😌
Fun little story about sam's incense... My mom and I saw gvf on oct 2nd in San Fran (right after this show) and we were on the barricade in front of jake. We were jamming out, having the time of our lives when Sam lights his incense during age of man. My mom has asthma so she starts having a full asthma attack. using her inhaler. on the front row. of a rock and roll concert. She was fine so it was hilarious. But now she can say Sam Kiszka gave her an asthma attack! 😂🧡✌️
Flower Power is the most Led Zeppelin-sounding tune I’ve ever heard, and melodically it’s as good as anything Zep ever did. Also, it expresses unbridled joy, which is actually rare in rock music.
Well - Just watched this again - and have a flood of tears down my face - it isn't just about bringing rock back - it is GRETA VAN FLEET themselves. They are four fabulously talented dudes who actually are also very sweet. It got a bit overwhelming towards the end - I felt the love in the room and I was alone in my living room - with my cat - damn if I am so glad to be alive just to have been able to get to know this band. And the love they have for music. Hard to put into words. 😍PS - Josh has a beautiful timbre in the lower register.
I learned of these guys from downloading Led Zeppelin tracks. I am a dyed in the wool Led Zeppelin fan. I know all their songs and play some of them on my Les Paul custom. But, WOW!! when Greta Van Fleet showed up while I was scanning for Zep tracks I was blown away. They have their own sound. They have their own style. They have their own songs. No copy cat. Copy cat is what I do, I try to cover the music I love. Greta Van Fleet brings back to me what I have been missing for so long. Great music. Can't wait to see them live!
I'm 64,a musician and just coming to this. I guess there will always be controversy but it seems very clear that this is one of the most AWESOME rock bands ever!!!
I’ve already commented, but I just watched a reaction video and I had to come back, because I believe that the Age of Man performance here is the best live performance I’ve ever watched. There’s something magical going on. No exaggeration. Sam’s intro (unbelievably moving) and the way these four just play together so perfectly, it’s just amazingly beautiful. If we had time travel and I could only go to one time and place, I really think I’d transport to this particular performance. It’s that moving and gorgeous. I hope the people watching were sober enough and musically intelligent enough to realize what they were witnessing. Definitely a special moment in time. These guys know how to write a song and give it life. I feel like I’m lifted and transported into another dimension. So thankful for this amazing creation!
This is easily the best rock band to come on the music scene in the past 20 years. I highly suggest that anybody, no matter their age, purchase tickets to see them in concert when they have a chance. I caught them in Tampa, Florida late last year and can't wait to see them again. Oh, I'm nearly 65 years old.

Young men but very old souls...in these very dark times you've lifted my spirits. Extraordinary musicianship, almost otherworldly. An amazing blend of past and future. And that voice, Josh, where on earth did that come from?! insane.

I wish them long success too. This music is effin' incredible.
Absolutely!!!

These are the Guys who will build the Momentum.. .The Old Rock Stars are sadly dying off , or doing Farewell Tours , and we need a New Generation to take over ..

By far.. is the best R&R I have heard in ages and I mean AGES.

This version of Age of Man is as good a performance as anything you’ll ever find... anywhere
